Lol, thanks for the clarification. I was going to comment exactly this, as just yesterday I got knocked into that area off my mount by a purlovia and was dealt 333,000 damage instantly. Don't fall!
There is no way you don’t have 10 million subscribers right now. The absolute most thorough guide you could possibly find without being annoying at all. This video alone made Fjordur my favorite map and I had never been a huge fan of it. A like and subscribe doesn’t feel like enough.
I've been playing Ark pretty much casually in my opinion for a year now and still feel like a total noob who knows nothing haa. This video was done so well and I can't imagine the work involved. It gives me hope that I can do the things the pros do in time. Thank you for putting this together I could never figure this out on my own lol. Appreciate it👍🏻 Subscribing
Hey man, Just wanted to say hands down best guide I've seen in a very long time. Thank you so much for putting in the time to make it. You were on point, very thorough, and didn't miss a beat. Thank you!
Nice and helpful video. I enjoyed watching very much. By the way: The Artifact of the Hunter-Caver (21:36) has a second entrance, actually the first to pick and very obvious to spot at 7.55/39.07. The Artifact of the Massive (22:24) has no second entrance, as far as I know. But you acutally can walk back. Near every falling Block there is a button that opens another Stonedoor to get back. Although you clarified: In the Artifact of the Skylord-Cave (34:12) you will die instantly if you fall in the pits. But that´s also a good way to get rid of the Dinos near the Artifact. Lure them into the pits. To rush through every cave (exept the underwater ones of course) you can always use a decent Desmodus at night ;) And if you get into a fight anyways his healing-power is fundamental.
Best guide on this. No crap straight to the point and very engaging. You even helped with resources and other things outside of just artifact locations. This map is so difficult to do because there are so many artifact locations and the caves are so long and maze like sometimes. They also spawn a billion 500 level cave creatures which has never been hard for me in the pass cuz I have strong Dino’s but holy crap is it hard on this map. That bee hive cave had so many Dino’s and I got trapped in the cave after dropping down a hole with no grapple hook and gave up and went into creative and flew through the cave.
Thankyou! This is awsome. Just started ark again from scratch from way back. Just started on fjordur and really need to do bosses as not unlocked tek engrams. Video is so useful
For this map, the swamp Island has dead bodies, you can harvest with a meat eating dino or a pick. I find better results with a dino and protection from the animals on the Island. Gives you spoilt meat and all the organic polymer that you can handle. You do NOT need to run around killing defenseless penguins for very little, unless you are a psychopath and enjoy those things in life, in which case, yes, kill defenseless creatures on Ark and not in real life.
I have a base on my friends PVE server that is located in a valley surrounded by snowy mountains in the northwest corner of the map. Right where three rivers converge into the lowest and most western part of the map is a good area for Beaver Dams. I usually see at least 1-3 on top of the waterfalls, and another 2 or 3 right at the bottom of the waterfalls. In the same valley is a huge concentration of both crystal and obsidian further up one of the rivers, a small cave that has some crystal and 4 metal nodes, and lots of river rocks that tend to have more metal than normal rocks. Might not be a great location for PVP, but for PVE it's a pretty legit area to set up.
I’ve been sad with arks current state, but I still plan to play once more single player. I never got to beat a map by killing bosses. Just never thought I could until I learned ab mods etc to make it easier. So Tysm for this guide :)
Need to find myself some gigas, daedons and sloths to mutate and a few otters for the artifacts.. AGAIN 😀 Absolutely love this map and the amount of tames are in it too, so pretty ^^
In both of the rooms where the artifact of the massive is, there are exit doors with one switch on the inside of the rooms after the entry door slams shut.
Finally a all on one guide to these bosses I decay raided so much I finally have amazing tames so I can get that Tek unlocked. Than you again for having loc for everything anyone would need. And yes Bpearls are treatrious to get under water is not safe.
In the cave of the labyrinth in the artifact room there's no issue if you get trap there's buttons on the walls almost in floor level that open secret passes to go back
A tip: If you are in primal fear (mod), try to use just apex deinos and yuty on bosses (less on broodmother, use megatherium on them). You can use anothers (like apex rex or something like), but deino is the easiest (taming) and the strongest dude that i found on fjordur.
Another good spot for metal, and a bit later game way of getting oil in the form of two oil veins on a rock just off shore at about 90-95 lat, 40-45 lon. Just off the shore, and has a rune on the top of it
great vid! Except when I went in the cave of the skylord with my desmodus, those cracks you mentioned between the platforms, it force killed me and my dino
ya my first time in there, i was flying over with my desmo and a damn assassin badger hit me halfway between and i was killed by deathwall below... it also puts your body under the mesh so you can't grapple it back so you lose everything.
These guides are amazing! I love your work. Any way we could get you to make some “How to complete Extinction, Gen1, and Gen2” videos? I plan on beating all the maps and ascensions on the Switch as they come out, but tbh i’ve only ever beat the Island and Aberration bosses. In the abberant dragon crystal cave if you bring a tek stryder you can farm about 4400 organic poly from the mushrooms and plants and also lots of crystal and metal
@@ConCon Easiest ones for me to give directions to, if you're in helms deep, at the doorway facing out, go approximately 11 o'clock direction, at the top of the cliff. There are 2 of them, looking like minecraft had sex with a bees nest. It's a stone cube with a honeycomb coming out the top. Another place with 2 is, if you go south from the hexagon cave/river with all the crystal, overlooking the next valley atop the cliff. A good way to see the 2nd location in video is Syntac's Fjordur (mod map) series from a year ago, where he set up his beginner base in episode 2 (Maybe he built it in 1, but was there for the first 2 or 3 episodes. All I've seen were 3-5 meters from a cliff overlooking a river valley. Oh, and I DID sub.
This is just to test your “I reply to every comment” thing lmao, what’s your favorite food? I ask the same question in a ton of different comment sections, though I rarely get replies lol. More on the topic of the video though, I just started playing Fjördur last week, but i’m really enjoying it so far. My partner and I just holed up in one of those castles with a bunch of dinos and it’s been a blast so far. I’ve never really been the kind of person who’d make it to Tek legitimately, mostly because I just don’t have the patience for it. Still, it was nice learning about all the different bosses on this map. If I was to attempt just one easy boss for the time being, which would be recommended? From what you said, it sounded like Bayla is probably the easiest? I just want to feel accomplished 😅
Haha okay, my favourite food, uhm I like a lot of things but I think my favourite would be my own home made chicken burgers. Glad you're enjoying the map, I think the easiest but most accomplished feeling would be hati and skoll because it feels like a real battle
@@ConCon That… was very quick xD but nice, chicken burgers are a good pick. I’ll give Hati and Skoll a try when I reach a bit later into the map, thanks for the suggestion. I’m definitely not looking forward to searching for every one of those runes tho; getting Riddler Trophy flashbacks from the Arkham games lol. I do love the Norse feel though, plus there’s a structure in Jotunheim that looks a lot like Bleak Falls Barrow from Skyrim
I assume that was alpha Fenrir? Good. My Rex’s hatch at stats higher than those, so I should not be so scared to do bosses, lol. I know what I am doing this weekend!
Good guide but with polymer best place to get the most poly is on the swamp island and harvesting the dead carcasses will yield way more polymer than you would harvesting 🐧
Also using the tek canteen on hot helps while fighting the boss in the murder snow area along with wyvern milk fur clothes otter and fria curry it will all stack together and help you survive in that biome.
Uhm it is possible but your rexes need to be very good, dragon will hurt though because it does percentage based damage to carnivores more than herbivores.
This just happened to me last week actually, my dino died instantly but I survived. I had to put sleeping bag down and fast travel to base in order to make grappling hooks to fish myself out. I was so mad cause i lost one of my best tames i had along with 2 others when I tried to bring out a froggo and deyno to try getting back up… they instantly died the second the popped out of the cryopods. So many walkthroughs ive watched for artifact caves without any mention of these abysses of insta death lol. Excellent video though! Great guide for sure 💪💪👍👍 Cheers 🍻🍻🥂🥂☕️☕️ 🐉☁️
So if we had a giga’s for each fight as well, could we not use say like a bunch of gigas? Also have you you tested to see if the charcardontosaurus might be viable in those boss fights?
You can only use giga and carchar for the mini-bosses (beyla, steinbjorn, hati and skoll). The main bosses will not let you teleport gigas or carchars into the arena.
Hi ConCon, your videos are very informative yet straight to the point. Me and my friend have never beaten a boss before, and we have breeded, imprinted and leveled up 18 rexes (36k HP, 1000% DMG) and only one 171% rex saddle. We plan on having a yuti and daedon to help with boss fights. Would this work for Beyla or do we have to get megatheriums? Thanks
@@ConCon Thank you, I forgot to mention, the other rexes will have primitive saddles, will that still be okay? i appreciate you replying to comments :) definitely deserve a sub!
I have bred 150 base level theriz. Now they got 20/20 HP + Melee mutations and a 140 saddle. I read that for the dragon you should aim for 21k since the veggie cake is best at this hp stat but i wanted to know if i can go higher. Like 40k rest melee
If you feel more comfortable with it sure, but fire damage is percentage based so higher hp doesn't really change a lot for it's hardest hitting attacks.
@@ConCon thanks for the answer! I was asking this because i want to do Fenrir with the same theriz and i dont know of they survive him or other bosses with the 21k hp
Im new to Ark and I dont understand how you transport the megatheriums . do you need a kryo for every single one or how you do it? And how do you get 300 lvl Megatheriums ?
Yes cryopods, and catching megatheriums at level 150, tames out at around 225. Every mutation adds extra levels, plus you can level it up about 70 times if you gain experience for it.
For all world/mini bosses I take 5 reapers and 5 gigas with 210+ saddles and they have no mutations and the reapers are just to body block damage so the gigas don’t take a lot of damage
Great guide…. Very well done & thanks for putting it together. Question for official servers can rock drakes be ridden in all the caves or do they count as a flyer? Also what was you gigas stats? And can Giga be used on all small bosses like the bee, the 2 wolves etc?
I haven't tried it but rock drakes are not considered flyers at all. So I'm sure you can use them in the caves. Gigas can be used on all 3 mini bosses yes. We have a really good melee damage for ours, I don't remember exactly the amount but they were good
@@ConCon Thanks for the reply, yea i did the bee boss with 3 gigas but could’ve probably used one 😂 Giga has 2500 melee. Guess Ill have to test the drake out and see if its allowed. I know its not a flyer but it is Wild Card after all. Thanks again & happy gaming
@@ConCon Okay so far the couple caves I have tried allowed Drakes. Nothing really attacks them neither except Rock Golems & Magmasaurs (that cave specifically). Small creatures don’t agro on Drakes like Onyx, small spiders, arthropods etc. Thought Id let ya know. Posted a video on my water breeding base for Fjordur Lmk what ya think
Amazing video. I am curious how you got such high level dinos. Is the base difficulty that high to allow a lv 924 basilosaurus or did it have just that many mutations
yo so anyone that going to get the artifact of the massive there is a button near the door that will lift the doors back up incase you retrace all the way back to the entrance edit: the button is hard to see without gamma turned near to max or a torch so bring one other than that good luck on the spikepit parkour
I have a really important question that I'm not able to find any info on. Am I allowed to take wyverns to the final boss fight? And also am I able to take wyverns to the dragon, gorilla and spider fights? I'm thinking of taking cryopods
Would it be worth sacificing two rexes in the bosses, so you could bring mate boosted shadowmanes for the pack roar? I don't know if the dmg lost by the rexes is worth the dmg added by the shadowmane
Which is cheaper and less time consuming for singleplayer alpha bosses: breeding and imprinting dinos all the way (tek rexes are my favorite) or just breeding them and raising them as cannon fodder? Also: what stats would you be looking for to fight the alpha variants of the Fjordur bosses? I plan on using tek rexes, with points in health and melee and nothing else, I just need some numbers. Can you help me out? Im new to Ark, and the mechanics are a bit overwhelming.
At 34:25 I said you can go in the pit, but you actually WILL die if you do, Idk when it didn't kill me in the footage though. But don't go in there!!

still die in that skylord cave in that second half if you fall down
This just happened to me last week actually, my dino died instantly but I survived.
Great guide for sure 💪💪👍👍
Cheers 🍻🍻🥂🥂☕️☕️

So if we had a giga’s for each fight as well, could we not use say like a bunch of gigas? Also have you you tested to see if the charcardontosaurus might be viable in those boss fights?
You can only use giga and carchar for the mini-bosses (beyla, steinbjorn, hati and skoll). The main bosses will not let you teleport gigas or carchars into the arena.
@@ConCon okay thanks for the info. I take it that it’s the same with wyverns.
Great vid
Thanks
@@ConCon straight to the point nice and simple .
i like how i just watched 43mins of this vid after already defeating all the bosses, bruh XD
Wait lol then why you watching it hahaha
@@ConCon i ask myself the same question XD
Hi ConCon, your videos are very informative yet straight to the point. Me and my friend have never beaten a boss before, and we have breeded, imprinted and leveled up 18 rexes (36k HP, 1000% DMG) and only one 171% rex saddle. We plan on having a yuti and daedon to help with boss fights. Would this work for Beyla or do we have to get megatheriums? Thanks
That will destroy beyla nice and easy. In fact you can do most bosses except dragon and steinbjorn with those
@@ConCon Thank you, I forgot to mention, the other rexes will have primitive saddles, will that still be okay? i appreciate you replying to comments :) definitely deserve a sub!
Use harpoon gun with the net launcher to instantly stop the desmodus from grabbing you
That's smart!
Oh that would be super easy with that
Also for honey, theres honey rocks you can harvest with a pick
Thanks 👍
There's a tiny island of of at the bottom of the map with fat oil, not even 500 meters from the south spawn. I always start there.
Nice one
True, you never know.
I spawned these in for the sake of the video. Higher level to account for the same stats I'd get in melee and HP also without imprint.
good guide in Beyla boss you can kill her with just one decent giganoto
Yes you can
so what i get from this video is that i should get a shadowmane. got it. 👍
Always a good tame to have
yo so anyone that going to get the artifact of the massive there is a button near the door that will lift the doors back up incase you retrace all the way back to the entrance
edit: the button is hard to see without gamma turned near to max or a torch so bring one other than that good luck on the spikepit parkour
Oh neat, I never noticed that
Came to the comments to see if anyone mentioned the lever, it's so hidden idk how people discover this stuff xD
I have a really important question that I'm not able to find any info on.
Am I allowed to take wyverns to the final boss fight? And also am I able to take wyverns to the dragon, gorilla and spider fights? I'm thinking of taking cryopods
You can't throw cryo pods during boss fights and I'm actually not certain you can take wyverns in either but I've not tried
@@ConCon oh alright that's good to know. Thank you and tell me if you happen to learn anything
Would it be worth sacificing two rexes in the bosses, so you could bring mate boosted shadowmanes for the pack roar? I don't know if the dmg lost by the rexes is worth the dmg added by the shadowmane
I'm actually not certain about that, I typically don't use shadowmanes against the bosses because they have a much lower HP
Awesome 😊
You're welcome
Which is cheaper and less time consuming for singleplayer alpha bosses: breeding and imprinting dinos all the way (tek rexes are my favorite) or just breeding them and raising them as cannon fodder? Also: what stats would you be looking for to fight the alpha variants of the Fjordur bosses? I plan on using tek rexes, with points in health and melee and nothing else, I just need some numbers. Can you help me out? Im new to Ark, and the mechanics are a bit overwhelming.
Just aim to at least double your initial leveled up stats for the rexes.
