This is one of the greatest games ever made. Have a sub, i'm looking forward to seeing your journey through Skyrim. A few tips I wish I had known on my first playthrough: 1) try to level your speech a bit. passing checks will open more dialogue, get you more money, make certain quests easier, etc. 2) the more damage a weapon does, the slower it attacks. for one handed weapon speed, it's dagger > sword > axe > mace, and damage is the opposite. Swords are your best bet for middle ground. 3) just because you chose ralof, you're not locked into joining the rebellion. you can instead head to a different city to sign up with the imperials if you wish. 4) don't get attached to anybody. trust me. 5) there is one mod you absolutely should install, and that is the unofficial patch. all it does is implement fixes to the game and makes it more stable/consistent. 6) if somebody gets on your nerves, you can always save your game, take out your anger, and load again. i envy you, you know. to climb the 7000 steps again...I made the pilgrimage once, you know that?
Thank you so much for the tips! This footage is pretty old, but I didn't know everything you listed, so I appreciate it! Thank you for the sub as well! Be prepared to cringe often lol
@@PeachiLeaves if you had fun, if you have access to VR, skyrim hits SO different in that style. you would not BELIEVE how big the dragons actually are. I kid you not, i actually fell over when the first dragon landed in front of me.
@@PeachiLeaves It's always enjoyable seeing new Skyrim players videos. I've played it many times and tried out every playable race at least once. The 3 best are Argonion(Lizard People) & Bosmer(Wood Elf) & Breton(Manmer). I hope you enjoy this game and I personally hope you don't always choose the Evil options when presented with them throughout the game. 8:02 You could adjust the brightness settings a bit which can help you not miss as much stuff. Also, despite playing on PC if you got a wireless controller instead of mouse & keyboard that would give you an easier time perhaps. 23:50
@@morrigankasa570 I think I wanted my character to have some kind of consistency with the arc I was going for but there are many times compassion bleeds through side quests and such! It'll be great for you to see!
The fact that she has never even prob thought about playing this until now surprises me this game will hold people over PAST gta 6 so the game if legends
I've actually never really had the resources to play this game before now! I know how loved this game is, so I figured making videos about the process of learning while streaming would make for an interesting series!
@PeachiLeaves the elder scrolls is a very complicated series filled with lore that most will not understand and story's that will be and never be told but it's held people over for 20 years well the elder scrolls game but skyrim around 10 years
Can i give you a few non-spoiler tips? Gather plants and such, eat one and it will tell what the plant will do when you use it in a potion. You can do anything in this game. Craft, cook, use magic etc. Those three standing stones are just for getting starter bonuses and don't lock you into any one class. Dont fill your pockets with low value items. You will find a LOT of loot in this game, that you can sell, improve or use. That's enough for now. Just take your time, none of the quests are time sensitive. Look at everything and have fun. Save often.
The old timers use the 10 gold/1weight unit to determine if an article is worth keeping. Exception for crafting supplies: ingots, pelts, alchemy ingredients etc. I advise using mobility and terrain to avoid damage in order to avoid a potion addiction. Fun times! PLAY ON!
Skyrim is a timeless game, been playing since launch and still am. I did a few complete playthroughs before I started modding the game, it is so cool you are experiencing it for the first time. If you ever decide to mod watch Gopher's videos, they helped me a bunch when I started out modding the game.
Nice play through. I kinda wish you played in 3rd person , at least when running around. It is always more fun when you can actually see your character.
Was there a cut when you took all the stuff from Gerdur? I have never before seen a first time player take everything so quick without any hesitation :D
Hey there! Yes, I did make a cut when getting her items. While editing, I felt that I spent an unnecessary amount of time talking and clicking that it would have been boring for the overall video lol. Thank you for watching!
@@PeachiLeaves I figured ;) But all other first time players I watched were "what's this... wait, I can take all of it? That's soo much!" And you were "Oh thank you. Take all of it, I guess" within a second :D
Character creation could really be more transparent. For instance, character height matters as a multiplier to movement speed. For instance, female bosmer are taller than male bosmer, so given equal stamina and armour, the females are faster.
Hey there! I'm very sorry about the quality of my audio in the beginning of this series. I was very new to streaming and recording in general. The quality does get better further into my experience as a streamer. Again, I'm very sorry for the terrible quality but thank you for watching!
Tbh, the blind aspect of starting a game is always the most memorablr. But skyrim with mods can make even a reoccuring playthroughs special
I completely agree! I’ve seen a ton of creative mods!

I know I'm late, but if you have arachnophobia, you can install a mod to change spiders in this game into bears or something.
That's such a useful thing for those with arachnophobia! Thank you for sharing!
oh lets goo! This is one of my fav games❤ hope you have fun playing it😊
Thank you for the comment! I've really enjoyed the Skyrim Experience so far!

Yeah. It is a big game, but has a lot of fun things to do. There are also skills you can learn that will have a positive impact on gameplay.
