3rd person does make it more like a movie. When you are looking for loot you can switch to 1st person to get a better look at stuff on shelves and such.

Check your quest journal for tips on your current objective. You can level up during a fight and it's an instant heal. Upgrading your equipment/load out can help with survivability.
Your not the first person who gets stuck on the door puzzle. The book you collected from the bandit tells you about the claw. If you look in its palm the combination is there . This applys to all claws in the game. The skill to skyrim is check everywhere check books in your inventory and listen to all dialogues from Ai's they often tell you what to do. Also check your mission for clues and highlight them so you know where to go.
Items in the inventory marked with a delta (triangle) are the best base rate armor and weapons that you possess. Enchantments will modify the value in combat.
You might want to check and see what spells you have. Healing is a useful one and will help save on potions. Read spell books that you find to learn spells. You are doing great tho. There is a lot to figure out in this game but it is all fun stuff.
the fact that magic is right there at your finger tips is funny while you struggle with healing. you don't need anyone to teach you, simply select a magic skill and go learn yourself, explor you options

33:27 Raise the shield to block attack. Just turning towards the opponent doesn't work. Bash your opponents with the shield to stagger them.

Healing is one I definitely implement in the future, seeing as how I am always taking damage of some kind 😅
Tbh my least favorite enemy is indeed the spiders, cant look at the screen when they are there😱
