Glade to see this video. Does it works after 2000 plus miles? I have a after market local automotive installed a cruise control similar like the one you have but it kept failed on me every 2000 miles I drove on mine 2017 Ram ProMaster.2500. Brought back to the shop 3 times to correct the issue with no luck so they ended up to uninstalled the cruise control and put it back to the way it was. Could you please provide me the cruise control unit that works so can buy me one.

Lou Yang the cruise control still works perfect, i put on over 20,000 miles since i installed it ! if u watch the video again i say what the model number on the unit is , if u enter that info in on amazon or ebay or google the exact product will pop up
they are $299 brand new i found mine for half price on ebay

Hi, I installed the rostra CC in my car 5 months ago, everything went well.
But two months ago, I have had a problem with the rostra control 250-3742 (same as your video).
The problem is, that it can not light up easily, it lights up after many attempts (led flashes, and does not light up). You can help me. I would appreciate. Thank you very much
When you solder the red wire to the blue/red ignition wire, do you cut the blue/red and solder the red wire just to the connector side of the blue/red, OR do you solder the red to the blue/red connector side AND the blue/red feed end?
I did NOT cut the ignition wire!! strip the outer coating off the ignition wire... expose the wire, split the wire weave the red wire through the ignition wire ... then solder it together... wrap in electrical tape and BOOM done!!
im sure u can probably use a wire splicer clip and it would work just fine , so you dont have to go through all that other stuff but its not a junk box so i figured why cut a corner
Thanks for the video, it was a lot more informative than the pictures that came with the components! Question: soldering the red wire to the ignition, they and you indicate the blue and red ignition wire. Do I solder the new wire at the blu/red-wire’s connection to the ignition, or cut the blue/red wire at an accessible place and solder a 3-wire connection then tape it? (Yes, I’m a newbie diy-er, yikes) Thanks again.

Hi, i got the same kit, installed everything as instructed by the kit. I have power but can't get it to set. I checked all connection and wire's, but still no luck. Note: we tried this kit on two different ProMaster same result. Any tip?

@@scott8907 yes the module was dead so I sent it back to Amazon. On the module itself right next to the plugs there should be a green light when turned on..
This was from a gentleman in a ProMaster group that I'm in when i was searching for answers. See below.
"Yes! I called Rostra CS and they had me do some checking on the module. Questions for you Tong Yang: turn the car on in aux (engine off), press the on bottom on the Rostra stalk. Does the module light turn on (green)? The light is on the bottom of the module in a portal cutout next to a small white 6 pin connector. The light should green when you turn it on. It should turn green+amber when you press "set". Mine did not do this - faulty module. I bought through amazon and did a return so i replaced the module with a new one and it works now" hope this helps.

Just FYI that may help others.. the instructions do not work with a 2020 promaster. You have to solder two additional wires that I have yet to find. "2020 Models CAN wires will need to be soldered to BCM Brown connector in rear of
\BCM/fuse box. Green wire position 13 CAN positive connect our Red CAN wire. Brown wire position 14 CAN negative connect our Black CAN wire." I cannot find this brown connection yet.. www.rostra.com/manuals/250-9642_Form5483B.pdf
I got mine installed but engine light came on and went to get it checked out but where they hook up the scanner to check engine light it dont work. Hmm
what brand did u get?? did u have someone else install it??
