This guy was never qualified for this job and he's running USPS into the ground.
Well, that was always the goal. The GOP put the USPS in the position it was in now in a bid to break it off and get UPS/FedEx to buy them.
That WAS the job he was installed to do.
He has destroyed so many employees life. New employees rather quit than work for the post office nowadays because of the treatment and abuse.

Delayed and mis-directed! I prepared a letter to Sen Ossoff after listening to DeJoy's BS. Who manages any organization, shuts down the number of stations that he closed and expect there to be a smooth transition. You have employees reassigned, if they maintained their jobs, and overcrowding at the stations that remain open. He is targeting the Post Office for the Trump-assignment of privately-owned.
I live in MD and my mail has been mis-directed, delayed, and lost! My letter to Sen. Ossoff details all of the mishaps, including to request that he retire Mr. DeJoy!
Our DPS mail comes late everyday now. and I'm in Ohio. Never used to come late.
Someone should’ve asked the postmaster general why did he build a plant in Palmetto on his wife’s family property because his wife’s family owned that land where he built that plant and seems to me that should be That is a conflict of interest he should not be allowed to be something on that his wife’s family own so that they can benefit from that again. That is a conflict of interest and he knows that it’s wrong.

Rand Paul doesn’t know what he’s talking about. We don’t have enough carriers at arguably EVERY office….we have to hire more people. And you have to convert these subs to regulars or they will quit. We are losing subs. They don’t want to work. The pay isn’t enough for them.
Rand Paul is nothing but breathing hot air in Comitees. In the private sector he wouldn’t get a job. He’s best known for fillerbustering that’s pretty much all you need to know.

They keep switching out plant management, when that’s not the problem. The problem is they don’t listen to the employees, when we for a fact know how we can move in a better efficient way
How about address how crappy the carriers are being treated alongside pay cuts every 6 months.! Dedication and service means nothing to them!!! The carriers are what keeps this company going! Not horrible management!!

I live in the Metro Atlanta area. I mailed a 9 x 12 envelope containing documents to a friend in another metro Atlanta town. I mailed it first class on February 27th and she finally received it on March 21st. Yep, shaking my head

I work for the postal service as a supervisor. In every operation I supervise respectfully and gracefully I say I do exceptionally well and my team works. I was told last week because I cant work on Sundays because of church I can not supervise...my Bid off days are Sunday and Monday....everyone wants to know why I'm not supervising. This is the type of incompetence we deal with. Management can easily stand up employees to supervise on Sundays. But they rather step down a valuable supervisor because of a day we are not even busy on. High level of concern and incompetence leadership wise.

Sad thing is on other tours there are 204bs off Saturday and Sunday, Sunday and Monday...It's horrible, thing is if it were someone Buddhist or other faiths would easily get sundays off. But when it comes to Christians they do not want to give you Sundays off....and it low mail. Stand up weekend Supervisors that has always been done.

In Virginia service is significantly derailed! Outskirt towns mail is only leaving in the morning with Mail Drop off. We have no express mail! It’s horrible!

I work in the USPS in Reno, Nevada and the work environment is toxic. Management lack leadership and understanding of the postal service operations. The plant manager does not care for the employees and there's a lot of shady deals are happening under his watch. RIP US POSTAL SERVICE

As a 27 year postal employee the postal service has lost its integrity, through poor mismanagement at all levels, I work at a pand d center in Jacksonville and at the present they don’t know what their doing and maintenance has gone by the wayside with no training on anything, worn equipment broken mail containers to name a few, it’s no wonder the people receiving their mail wonder what is happening, nothing but ad (junk) mail is being processed every day, and can’t keep up with trucks bringing pallets of this mail, the postal service is imploding so far, it’s a disgrace.

Sometime you have to look at the person who’s talking and then look at the person who appointed him to that position. They’re one in the same and those are facts. He’s just like Donald Trump. Everything he touches falls apart and now here it is. The person that Trump has appointed to this position has lost millions if not billions of dollars for the Postal Service there goes all this trajectory. Now he’s trying to say that the issues was there before he got there they weren’t and if they were, they were nowhere near as bad as they are as it is now.

The PMG is elected and appointed by the board of governors of the USPS.
There are 11 board members in the USPS, of which 9 are governors appointed by the POTUS (and confirmed by the senate), 1 board member is the PMG and 1 the deputy PMG.
The PMG serves at the governors’ pleasure. (LOL).
Only they can fire him.
No more than 5 of the governors at any one time can be of the same political party.
Currently 4 board members have Republican affiliation:
1 of whom, Derek Kan, was nominated by President Biden
2 were nominated by Donald Trump (Roman Martinez & Robert Duncan)
plus the PMG Louis DeJoy who was elected
3 governors are democrats (Anton Hajjar, Ron Stroman & Dan Tangherlini) all nominated by President Biden)
2 members are Independent (Amber McReynolds, appointed by President Biden) and 1 was elected to Deputy PMG (Douglas Tulino)
2 seats are currently vacant, I guess there will be some appointments coming …

The problem is that the people making the decisions dont have their feet on the ground or their ear to those of us who actually know whats going on and what works and what doesn't.
Im a maintenance mechanic at the Boise Idaho Plant. We are short clerks and mailhandlers. Managment just posted more Supervisor jobs in Maint. Now we will have 8 supervisors in Maintanence. 3 Supervisors already watch me work. I dont need 2 more per shift watching me work. We need more bargaining employees not Supervisors!!!!!!!

No, whether you think it’s a good idea. It isn’t, that affects jobs and Monday are already terrible for carriers cause mail doesn’t run on Sundays. It would be significantly worse

You brought all these people from 10 locations to ONE that is the major problem. WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF THE 10 LOCATIONS BEFORE.
You had 4 separate plants that you combined into ONE.....ASK the major question WHAT WAS THE NEED OF 4 SEPARATE BUILDINGS IN THE FIRST PLACE...THERE IS NO ROOM FOR ALL THIS NOR THE PARKING LOT SPACE FOR TRUCKS NOR EMPLOYEES.

@@santed.4109 facilities cost is no reason to Fail to plan according. You hire experts that can develop a plan. The supervisors started work in this new building the same day as their employees. On new machines and operations they had not previously worked. Parking lot is too small for all the workers and crossover tours. They moved the facility to no mans land 1-2 hours for people to travel to work.

Tbh, usps is conflicted. Money and numbers is conflicted by the lobar of body’s that need to deliver this mail. Each route should have assistance aka a buddy system with packages and one with mail for safety reasons and to update the delivery. The key is more people to work. UPS, Fed ex and Amazon is successful because they have one task which is delivering only packages. Doing both at once is challenging and is wasting time to complete deliveries. All areas are not made to be operated the same either. Huge areas of delivery does not need to move into one , it’s of need of multiple locations to rule out. Smh saving money is not the goal, updated delivery is!

My plant is being consolidated or is in the process and our volume is going to a plant that is northeast in my state, is suppose to increase the speed and no delay, it’s deliberately delaying mail. And like another person mentioned that these plans are being made without where this volume is going. The volume that’s going north is going to a plant that is very terrible and has a declining workforce, they already delay their mail as it is and they cannot handle the volume and now it’s only going to worsen. Someone thought this was a great idea, that plant is 2 hours further and now 3,4,5 hours further from other destinations it will now have to go to. Somehow this was a good idea.

DeJoy has been the worst postmaster general in history. In rural Oregon we rarely receive our mail on time. It was very obvious how he avoided so many issues, one being that he did not respond to any of the senators letter prior to this hearing.
