Fun fact about the nomad intro: You can ram your car into the people, causing police to be called, which forces you into combat, allowing you to pull out your gun. A lot of the enemies are super high level, and you cant level up before the Sandra Dorsett mission, but it is possible tho difficult to kill that asshole cop in the beginning.
Ok, so I saw your comment and decided to try this. A few notes: You can just run over everyone. It is the best way to kill the sheriff. There is a city border. The moment you cross the border your HP regens to full. NPCs in the area seem to aggro at you permanently, so as soon as you re-enter the area, townsfolk will start to shoot. There is actual law enforcement in the area. Police will keep respawning and getting stronger the higher your wanted level.
I just recently got the game and i chose nomad and I was not good at driving because the controls are so horrible with driving I kept crashing into civilians and had to restart about 4 times
One of the stealth perks is broken. Instead of making it take longer for enemies to notice you, it makes them notice you instantly. Looks like you may have taken that perk
7:17 "The fact that he rolled over the table twice for no reason just fills him with the exaggerated swagger of a mexican chrome man. It gives me goose bumps every time he does it"
for your throwing knives run (I did one myself quite recently) you can use distract enemy quickhacks in the first Sandra Dorsett level to get a perk point to spend on throwing knives on the very first level.
Another awesome run. Would've been interesting to see a Don't Fear the Reaper run like this, but totally understand not wanting to level up to 50 to make that feasible. Still, badass and awesome. Love your work.
Buzzsaw would have also probably helped with a permadeath run as well. Because like tech weapons it can fire through objects and it can still ricochet. Shooting through objects would have allowed you to hide around corners and shoot enemies without exposing yourself to return fire most of the time. Honestly one of my of my favorite weapons in the game. Only downside is it does chew through your ammo fast.
about netwrunner w/ satara (point 1), you dont even need any points in intelligence to pull it off. It's just stupid that the only (sane) way to get a legendary one is paying 10k at all foods. The other is massive reloads for on 'occupation hazard', doing in the 40s lvl.
A year ago but i was doing a no death run and did the entire main game without dying, first mission on phantom liberty i wasnt focused and fell and died before even entering dogtown. Does this count as a death, im pissed over it but not sure if it even counts, just reloaded a save before i entered
Fun challenge run, thx for the video. For a future challenge, I suggest a spin wheel randomizer run. After every main mission, you spin a wheel with every weapon category + fists, then you can only use that type of weapon until you finish another mission. You can avoid combat with every weapon type but only do stealth kills/takedowns if you spin out fists. This is effective for level up/grinding too, so for example, you finish a mission and spin out shotguns, then you can only do ncpd scanners side gigs etc with shotguns until you finish another mission and spin again. If you want it to be harder, you can use the spin wheel to distribute attribute and perk points too.
Hey I love your cyberpunk challenge content a lot! But I was wondering if you ever considered briefly talking through the perks and skills you use as your progress through the missions for challenges to get insight on how you pull these off
Nice run! I feel like you need to do this run (and maybe some others) again in the current patch, now that ricochet isn't busted and other things are harder i.e. smasher
Nice job. Lizzie in v2.12 is a Tech pistol, not sure if it’s the same in old patch. But that thing shreds. My go to on my first successful permadeath. I thought it was slightly cheap to shoot through walls, but I did like you, and used whatever means necessary. I never used ricochet before, but after watching your run, I think I might’ve unintentionally gimped myself! lol
I’m glad they’re doing things like adding a cooldown for healers and grenades and improving the enemy A.I. Without mods, the game has always been just ridiculously easy. You can spam the inhalers without a problem, throw nearly infinite amounts of grenades, craft grenades and ammo everywhere, and easily stealth past dumb enemies. It’s almost hard to die.
Again another great video. One thing . I realized when you have to wait for a call, go to your apartment and sleep for a whole day (sometimes 2 days. After you wake up, you will get a call, but it only works, when you sleep in your apartment not when you just wait through the menu.
I accidently did a "no death allowed" run on my very first playthrough right after game launch - went full netrunner / stealth and it was sooo broken. They fixed some of the op mechanics with patches - and rightfully so - but back then it was so strong, it wasn't fun anymore.
Spiderman build run. Grapple hook, monowire, sandevistan, sticky grenades, camouflage, stealth drop takedown, max damage for fists and of course non lethal for kiroshi optics eye. Hacking, disable enemies, max health, max armor, immune to electric, chemical, thermal, max damage over time for bleed resistance, and max mitigation. I don't know what the best way to go about it is. I wonder if the grapple hook can pull enemies towards you?
Love the content. Sad that I couldn't see the stream but hopefully I'll catch one next time. One idea I could think of is a nuzlocke for cyberpunk where you grab a gun and whatever ammo Is in that gun is it's hp basically. When it hits 0 you gotta throw it away and find/get a new one. Guns only otherwise melee would just negate the challenge. There's definitely some problems with it but there's probably a way to make it work.
*goes to stealth* *failes at the actual very first chance* I've failed to stealth it once. And that was v1.0 cause of the looking through walls they had, you do have to drag the bodies and the place you put them is just away from a spawn. (Also a tip, there is light and exposed based detection for the player, if you have no experience with how it works it's a pain. The cyberware that slows time when you start to get spotted is pretty neccesary to learn it. You got spotted in the Judy mission cause you were too close to the front of the railing, and possibly the cycle put her slightly forward (if she's too forward she can see you from the bottom of the walkway it's annoying))
you bringing up how you can’t die in the takemura driving segment reminded me of how the first time i played i didn’t take the inhaler he offers you because i thought he poisoned it or something, so i just watched as he got shredded by the assassin and drove us into a light pole
Throwing knives are so fun! Honestly not much of a challenge, at least later into the game. It can be very difficult at first. But for a real challenge, you should try a Many a True Nerd style YOLO challenge. He did one in Fallout 4 where he was not allowed to heal at all, all damage was permanent.
I think they increased the difficulty on very hard with the 1.6 patch .. I played through the game multiple times pre 1.6, but I’ve been going through the main missions for the first time after 1.6 and i dont know, from what I remembered so far, Sasquatch, oda, and the fight to escape the building with takemura we’re all much harder than I remembered them being previously.. same goes for the enemy detection, they def tweaked it , if u don’t spec into cool & some stealth perks u get detected immediately now
Would like to see a random roll where you can only boost one stat (rolled randomly) to 20 before rolling another random stat to boost. Could make an interesting gameplay choice. While rolling reflex, tech would be normal, an int + body would be interesting, a body + cool would be a tank.... etc...
Thanks to your videos I know how busted ricochet is lol. The game doesn't explain this mechanic very well and I always went for smart weapons. But as far as I understand you have a perk that increases damage by 45%, a Cyberware that increases it by another 50%, and a muzzle that increases it by a further 140% lol. It's insane. But does it do any more damage on its own without those things?
@ennaber If you do, stream it or otherwise record it. My initial idea was to go stealth netrunner, but 2.1 really nerfed that and EoNC REALLY nerfed that. It's insane how fast you die with the mod combined with very hard difficulty.
@@PerpetuallyTiredMillennial srry but wont be able to do that for about a month. I need to lock in on school for now, besides I'm still compiling my mod list so I can do play my last ultra immersive/realistic run. oh and when I will do this I will also be trying my best to make it NO DEATH RUN
Hey like your videos a lot man. Quick questions, did this game get harder in any of the updates? I have a lvl 49 character and tried don’t fear the reaper and got insta killed in the lobby with 677 health and around 1000 armor and some random encounters worked me over as well on very hard. I’m sure there are mechanics I’m not using but I was surprised I got destroyed so easily. I went into tech reflexes and body cool evenly split. Thanks!
I’m pretty sure it did but I’ve felt the same way lately .. on my first play through since 1.6 I swear Sasquatch, oda, and a few other fights I’ve done so far we’re definitely more difficult than they were pre 1.6
@@remydetrou734 without a doubt .. i didn’t do the parade mission until I was level 45 I think in my recent play through and I had a rough time beating oda .. if he caught me once or twice with those mantis blades I was dead .. I kinda like it though, rhe power fantasy stuff works well with random goons n during gigs, it’s fun to just destroy a gang of dudes, but when it’s comes to boss fights, it’s not satisfying to just blast a guy 4 times n he’s dead lol so I like that they upped the challenge for the boss fights, it needed it
I think you kept getting caught at the mall with the Animals because you weren't accounting for some of the stealth mechanics. For instance, just standing behind the door at 17:25 when the guy was moving to open it to investigate what was going on I'd also advise using ping to keep track of the enemies Hope those help :)
Hadn't noticed the lack of falloff from ricochet. Wondering if it's possible the falloff is calculated, except that ricochet measures the distance relative to the last point of contact before reaching the target rather than to the barrel.
Great info. I didn't know those guns did that much damage. I'm tryng the same thing as you perma death. I'm leveling up my character by doing all the gigs in Watson before I take the ride with your daddy and use monowire. I'm level 19 44 street cred with all the bells and whistles. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks!
Try a Challenge Run without using Atributes or Skill points. Or in other Words, try to only use the Starting Atributes. Would be interesting to see if you can made it.
Listen, i would have been surprised if you died bc you can get really op in this game and ive only ever Died when i was acting dumb. Either way awesome run and very fun to watch
And this is why Smasher is as easy as he is. He is the final boss fight of the game, and you can beat the game even lower level then this. The reason some of the cyberpsychos and optional bosses are harder, is because well, they're optional. It sucks that Smasher is forced to suck when in lore he should be able to pick you up and tear you in two - but he has to be designed to be beaten by the majority of players. I'd LOVE an update that adds an optional menu slider for Smasher akin to Johnny's optional appearance. One that makes him as hard as he has every right to be. That way the people that just wanna beat the game get vanilla Smasher, and everyone else could get Edgerunners Smasher
What no cyberdeck? Or...not using short circuit on the drones after Heist. Its easy to stealth Konpecki but you have to do quick saves after completing each segment but i've done it dozens of times. You also have to bait the guard with the elevator key by leaving a body for him to find at a specific position in the hallway for him to come investigate, same with 1 of the guards near the elevator. And...I have died on the car ride with Takemura (glitch?) while shooting every enemy and it was before Mantis blade man which I thought was wierd. I always stealth thru the GIM, its easy even on very hard. Its not too difficult to stealth past Sasquatch without optical camo. But over the years CDPR has changed the path thru (changing animal routines and doors to enter). Are you not allowed to do quick saves?
Hey, what about a splinter cell run the hardest difficulty only stealth If you're even spotted you must reset the encounter also no tech hacking people, and finish the special ending. Maybe this one is hard enough for Ya lol keep up the vids still haven't got to get the game yet but I've still been enjoying your videos.
