I have no issue with Ryan changing his stance on stuff like Drag Curls or adjusting his view on partial reps. He's doing a boat load of research and then testing it himself, if his opinion evolves, that's a good thing. He isn't flip flopping for views/clicks.

This is a 100% honest post. I have been working out for over 20 years. Followed every lifting protocol and diet you can imagine. Never made much progress in strength or hypertrophy, but I always enjoyed working out. A couple of years ago I came across Ryan’s videos, and started basing everything on his principles. I still have not made much progress, but I still enjoy working out, and his videos are hilarious.

Going to failure the first couple times are the hardest. I’ve been doing failure sets for about two years now and I’ll never go back. Not going to failure feels incomplete. Ryan, thank you for your deep dives into the science and methods that work the best. I appreciate you changing what you feel is best and showing us. I can’t say that I’m an expert but now it feels like I get it. Between you, HOH, Jeff nippard, athleanx, the studies and my own personal lifting experience - I got it. In fact, this video was something I suspected would be coming. Stretched, slow concentric and eccentric reps to safe failure is pretty much how my workouts go and what I preach to others (I’m also a trainer). Now it’s about finding the optimal stretch locations for all the muscle groups and the regional spots within them.
Ryan, I’m in awe at how you put this together. I like things to make sense and you helped me get it. Seriously thank you. I got sober about 2 years ago from alcohol and all I did was watch your videos and laugh and hope I could take control of my life. I did man, and I started taking my lifting seriously. These videos made the difference. Thank you.

I need to tell you, as much as I had a desire to put muscle on this old body, I found sitting through videos difficult to take. I did, anyway until, I caught one of your videos four months ago before I knew it I had sat through over 10 minutes. Not only was I formed, I was entertained and I left feeling. I was better than before I started watching. Kudos to you for the research and investigative work that you do. I love the dry humor that you inject into your presentation. Many times is just playing laugh out loud funny. I turned 70 last month, and up to this point , my training is totally natural. At my next check up I’m going to ask my doctor about TRT. Thank you, Ryan, for your expertise and for the great service you do for people looking to improve themselves.

I watched this a couple of hours after you released it and have been f'd up for a week. NO DRAG CURLS?!!!!etc... That's your THING! I was on a cruise and a guy said, you follow Ryan...long conversation. I was doing drag curls😮. I'm so lost now. I'm still going to do them and call them a partial rep. NOW THATS HOW YOU SHOOT A F'ING BABY.

Same for me, periodization and lengthened partials changed my training. Enter Renaissance Periodization feat Dr Mike Israetel & Milo Wolf

**** Ryan, I ruptured my distal biceps tendon. When I finally got to talk to the doctor, he suggested that I just not get it repaired. The risk-reward benefits weren't there. You're only going to lose 30% of the strength in that arm, but the surgery only gives you 80% of that back. Other than a floppy bicep, why have the surgery? I would love your take on that discussion and information.

Thanks Ryan, never was a huge fan of drag curls but I’ve definitely used them in different workouts just to switch it up. Also if you need help with the door, I got you bro.

This is what I send to clients...
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT....AS THE WEIGHTS GET HEAVIER YOUR GOING TO FAIL MORE AND EARLIER.
    THAT'S HOW IT IS!
    IT'S EXPECTED!
BUT WHATEVER YOU DO JUST DON'T LOSE THE GOOD FORM I TAUGHT YOU PLEASE. IT'S NOT WORTH RISKING INJURY!
I'D RATHER HAVE YOU FAIL WITH GOOD FORM
    ( NO CHEATING / SWINGING / ETC. )
THAN TO HAVE YOU CHEAT TO GET MORE REPS PLEASE!
BECAUSE IF WE FIGURE OUT THAT YOU ARE DEFINITELY AT YOUR LIMIT WITH AN EXERCISE ALL WE DO IS SWAP IT OUT FOR ANOTHER ONE FOR YOU TO CRUSH!
