Earned my H-2 cert three weeks ago on LMFP's training hills and was cleared for The Mountain, but Hurricane Mathew's winds put the ca-bash on my first mountain flights. I piloted the tandem aerotow a couple times while on and off the tow, and maneuvered and landed it, so I know my way around the box and landing patterns. I'm coming back in two weeks to fly off Lookout Mountain! Can Not Wait! This is much more fun than general aviation flying or even sailplane soaring! Be the Eagle! -DougM
I had a similar problem when I cleared. No hurricane, but a nasty tail wind on the mountain that was slight enough to keep my hopes up, but too strong to let me launch. Will come back soon!
OMG,, You use the same fore and middle finger grip that I use without thinking about it! I've only seen you do that besides me. Glad I'm not the only one. LOL
