Yours is the second video I've seen today exploring this movies locations. Yours is better than other one I seen. Fun fact, when your dog was laying in the dirt at the ball field in St Phillips, (Oregon, lol), the ball playing extras also layed in the dirt. Reason was, the ball players needed to look more dirty than they actually were. It was supposed to be the last inning of the game and the extras were too clean so they were asked to roll around in the infield to get dirty to make it appear they had been playing hard. Make-up, (Hollywood dirt) was applied to their faces to appear dirty but rolling in the field was best answer for the uniforms to get dirty.
@@shannonwilliams1941 The two you saw on the sign outside the stadium and then there was another movie filmed roughly at the same time called Hard Rain. Big cast in that one also. Morgan Freeman, Christian Slater, Minnie Driver, Betty White, Ed Asner, Randy Quaid.
Great movie from the early 90s. With great assembly of actors and a movie which was fun, interesting and sad at times. Great opening theme by Carole King " Now And Forever"
I loved your excitement at League Stadium! I had that same reaction when I saw a game at Hoosier Gym in Knightstown, IN where they filmed the movie Hoosiers.
Great video. I was actually at the filming of the world series game. I was in sixth grade and schools in the area actually gave excused absences . Columbia pictures begged for extras to fill the stadium. It was a great experience even at my age.
You both did a great job with this video! Would love to go to wrigley field one day. Can’t wait to watch the League of their Own tv show when it comes out.
You definitely did A , Grade A , Great job here. I’ve seen another vid or 2 on this films locations , that did not even come anywhere close to achieving all the great shots locations that you’ve got here. Nice 👍 P.S. I can’t believe they didn’t have a train sitting back there on the tracks during filming of that 1st small field where Lovitz found Dotty and her sister.
Thanks so much! We both love that movie too! Have you heard they're making a tv show? I'm not sure what to expect, but I hope it's as good as the movie.
That cool you were able to see so much with a drone. You are lucky you did not get in trouble for using a drone over a baseball field. Imagine a few years ago you would often have to go without even a drone shot.
Thanks for the suggestion! We did the Goonies a long time ago, but when we were not very experienced in making videos (but it was when you could still walk up to the house). I'm from that area, so I'm sure we will be back at some point. 😀

great movie, watched it countless times
It's a really good one!
You both did a great job on this one. I enjoyed watching this and hardly any of the locations have changed in the last 30 plus years.
Thanks for watching it!
I was born in Rockford, Illinois. And I really enjoyed your video presentation of "A League of Their Own" filming locations. Two thumbs up!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching it!
Very well done, the best I’ve seen for A League of Their Own. Thanks for the effort in making it for all of us to enjoy 🙂
Great job...and you have a great smile!! This movie is one of my favorites of all time!

Thanks for the kind words. We did a lot of driving around for this one, but it was fun.
I love that movie!! Cara, your shirt is awesome, so perfect. Super fun vlog!
Thanks so much! We both love that movie too! Have you heard they're making a tv show? I'm not sure what to expect, but I hope it's as good as the movie.
Sometimes remakes or TV shows or sequels to some things leave you thinking they should have left that where it was at
I'm heading to Indiana this weekend!
I rode on that Zephyr at IRM once. Get this: I was born in South Bend - two years after the Women's League folded.
I actually watched them film the scene when they come running out of the house!
I live in Henderson!
I remember it well
That's so neat!
That cool you were able to see so much with a drone. You are lucky you did not get in trouble for using a drone over a baseball field. Imagine a few years ago you would often have to go without even a drone shot.
Yeah, we love using the drone, but have to be careful about where we fly it.
10:49 I was just there today for a otters baseball game
love this movie thanks for the tour
Thanks for watching it!
I think the baseball field at the 7 minute mark was probably the best of the locations since it looked the most like the movie.
Yes, it was really cool because it was so similar!
Great video 👏👏👏
Thank you 👍
I know exactly where that house is. My mom watched from a block away when they filmed those scenes in Henderson.
👍👍 from here in the Philppines
Oh cool. Thanks!
I'm singing to Nelson ain't I baby it had to be you
Haha I really wanted to sing that in that club, but sadly it was closed. 😢
My hometown is about 30 minutes from the ⚾️ Hall of Fame. 👍⚾️👍🙂
Oh cool!
One of my favorite tom hanks movie.
He's great.
@@TheMagicGeekdom he was incredible.
@@TheMagicGeekdom his best one was Forrest Gump

They're really funny together.
By the way I loved you in the wizard of oz
Another zinger!
I teach a class called Sports in Literature. Would you be willing to speak about this video via zoom with my class next fall?
If the schedule works out, I'd love that. You can email us about it at hello@themagicgeekdom.com. 😀
You should do the goonies next
Thanks for the suggestion! We did the Goonies a long time ago, but when we were not very experienced in making videos (but it was when you could still walk up to the house). I'm from that area, so I'm sure we will be back at some point. 😀

Hi. Would you be willing to speak to a high school class about this video?
Sure!
How did you learn about the locations for A League of their Own? What got you interested in visiting these sites?
I loved the movie growing up, so I hoped to visit the locations in real life. I mostly used google to find several websites that had the locations.
Genna davis was the tallest woman of all the players.
She is a tall lady
I was born in huntingburg indiana
Oh nice! It seems like a nice area. Downtown looked cute. 😀
me to, st joes
Transformers 4, but A League of Their Own isn't mentioned? Umm...........
Please redo this when things are open and you don't have to wear masks.. FFS...
Hopefully we can at some point.
