Great video!!! This is the best video I've seen on bushing replacement and sizing. Many inexperienced techs will build failure into a transmission while trying to do a good job. Have a great day

Thanks for the Help, and tricks Brother I appreciate you taking the time to make the video, parts are expensive and it helps not ruining them.

Thanks for this video, partner. I'm gonna cut up a screwdriver and make that tool just for that front reverse input drum bushing. I usually use a flat chisel I've modified, and it works well on all but that one bushing. Keep these videos coming. I'd be real interested in seeing some valve body work. Do you vacuum test? I'm still pretty new at this, but I'm thinking real hard on either buying the Sonnax vacuum tester or making my own.

Great to hear that you found the video helpful!. And yes, I do vacuum test the valve bodies to ensure proper function. As for making your own vacuum tester, it's definitely possible and can save you some money. But if you're interested in purchasing the Sonnax vacuum tester, I highly recommend it as it's a great tool for diagnosing issues in the valve body. I'll definitely consider making a video on valve body work in the future, thanks for the suggestion!

I’m doing my first 4l60e so I’m right at doing the bushings and I really want to do this part right

hard to get right... if not been done before people struggle with this process quite a bit and it easy to get messed up should not have to "Dress" a bushing unless 1 its made wrong 2 its not installed correctly.... they are the bane of transmission rebuilding until you get good at it. Always press if possible will get a more true installed bushing if not MUST set into mating part then hit with deathblow to center correctly "thank me later on that one"

I would recommend using a press and not 'hammer' in the bushings. Sometimes when you hammer in the bushings they mushroom. Sometimes you can knock the high spots down as you did when you put the pump on a converter. Trust me, I used to drive them in as you show and the press took away all the problems you may encounter. Just an inexpensive press will work.

Right.... right .... however if proper driver and proper strike strength will not be issue. I normally use the press then myself then true them up with rubber dead blow on mating part. Most people will not have the drivers let alone a press though... I should make a vid showing how to do so without the actual drivers for DIY people.
