- In this video I show how to make yourself a router table in like 10 minutes or so and the best part ... IT`S FREE ... well given you have a few scrap wood pieces and a few bolts and nuts.
refreshing video, nobody trying to get rich and famous, just a guy helping others. thanks.
You are welcome ....Thank you 🙂
Just what i needed because I don't need it to be permanent. Thank you from the Philippines!
I just got the same router and was looking for something like this. Thanks for posting. Seems fairly straightforward and the hardest part was putting the pen back together. 😂
Hi John
thank you fore your comment i appreciate it a lot.
This is probably THE simplest router table guide out there. I appreciate the 'clumsy' steps of putting it all together because I know I will most likely do the exact same things. Thank you very much for posting this KHKDK
You are Welcome..
I have a lot of tools, gathered over many many years, but no workbenches, so this video is extremely helpful for me. Always looking for a quick way to make a jig or something, out of nothing, in order to do some chore or project that must be done.
THANKS !!
Very easy to follow, thank you from Australia
Very refreshing to see a guy just like me - make what you need when you need it - it’s a cheap tool at the end of the day and it does the job. Thanks for sharing.
Nice simple idea. Well presented too. Thanks KHKDK.
Like your style man! Greetings from an ex pat Geordie, living in the UK midlands

I have a plunge router gathering dust and I’ve always wanted a table but can’t afford one. This is the perfect answer. Perfect. Cheap easy and completely functional. I just love the presentation too. Great stuff. Thanks very much.
Good Luck...
New to routers, and this was the best explanation of how to actually connect one to a table, and so simple thanks made my weekend a lot simpler.
You are so welcome.... I am happy that you got something out of it...
Love the real DIY vibe from this video. I already have a small ply tabletop that I was looking to repurposed as a router table. This is exactly what I was looking for. Simple and effective. Thanks a million.
Thank you ... I hope it works out great for you.😉
Many things in life are simple. And we unnecessarily complicate it. You have shown how to keep things simple and you are so natural... Thanks for the video
Thank you for your wonderful comment .... well I can`t help but make it simple .... I am a little simple my self ....😜😉 who can figure out those complicated things anyway...
I love the laid back delivery - thanks for taking the time to show us that. Getting my first router soon, so will have a go at making my own table once I've mastered the tool itself.
thank you ... you will see using a router is not that hard ... just as with all power tools be carefull and you will do great
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
This is exactly what i was looking for!
Very Informative thanks. Worth watching

Thanks for instructions,mate
Thanks a lot for so much simple but practically perfect immediate solution!!!
You are welcome..... happy that it is useful...😉
Nice and simple!
So well explained how to make router table without spending any money.
I hope it will work out for you 👍
I like this idea, I have the POF1400 ACE too and am about to build a mitre saw station in my small garage. I think I can adapt this idea to put in a small 400mm sliding insert piece with the router screwed underneath as you have done. Then I can easily slide it out to adjust the depth as I don’t have a lift, with just a couple of screws to hold the insert into my bench. Thanks for making the video
My pleasure.... I am just happy that you got something out of the video.
Thanks very much, I have the same router and this is going to be a great help.
Just perfect
Very well thought out. Looks easy to build. Can't wait to build one and try it out. Thanks
Tak, Thank you, Definitely going to make this.
Great video! Thanks for sharing with us!

Thank you, very nice and easy 😀
you are so welcome...
Fantastisk oppfinnelse. Jeg har akkurat den samme frelsen som du og har tenkt at jeg skulle gjerne hatt ett fresebord. Nå skal jeg lage meg ett sånt som du har der. Veldig praktisk og veldig billig. Me like.😊
Perfect, thanks!
really simple and easy to build, i like it!
I am happy to hear you like it ... it is werry simple but it gets the job done
Thank you, sir.
Thank you my friend fantastic video: -)
Nice job Man,simple and fast
Thank you ...
Looks like a great plan, but will the router bit cut deep enough?? Where did you buy your router bIts? Using Bosch router bIts and I dont think the shaft will be long enough if the furniture plate is more than 10-12mm thick…
Tak skal du have Kim. Jeg har præcis denne router så dette var meget nyttigt.
Best on youtube
thank you so much although it might be a bit of a exaggeration 😉
simple but beautiful!
I like it going to do this one
Awesome idea for a small workshop...and you Danes be crazy.🤣🤣🤣
Hi Simon
To be honest this is not all out my idea i just seen something and adapted it to my needs .... And about the last part of your comment well I for sure can´t speak for all Danes ... but i`m pretty sure fore my part you are so right ... hopefully it is not to bad 😜😉
Excellent. This solves it for me.
Glad to hear that.... good luck with your projects..
A great solution. Thanks!
You are welcome I am just happy you were able to use it.
Great job, thanks for video!
My pleasure!.... glad you liked it
Now that you mentioned the trick to have the shavings exit through the little tunnel, I started thinking about the shavings and dust going down into the machine 🤔 Is that not a problem?
New subscriber.... 👍...
Just love it bro ❤... Update more
Thank you..... I recently moved so i do not have a workshop up and running yet.... I am working on it tho...
Jävligt bra beskrivit. Jag tyckte om när du sa "sulan" /faceplate hehe. Denna videon gav mig inspiration. Ha det bäst
jeg takker mange gange.
Jeg er glad for du kanbruge den til noget ...
I like it
I am very happy to hear that... thank you👍
Very helpful. Thanks.
thank you ...
Great idea! I'll be doing this with my router when I get it. This is also convenient if you don't have the space to have a "real" router table. Also thanks for the tip about using the inner thing in a ballpoint pen - now I have a use for my ballpoint pens 😂 Are you enjoying the Bosch 1400? This is the one I'm thinking of getting, but I've only been researching for a couple of hours, and there's also the blue Bosch at just a little higher price, or the Makita P0900 🤔 Don't wanna buy garbage, but I also don't wanna go crazy as I'm not gonna be a heavy user, just have some projects planned that really need a tool like this, and I'm starting to think of more cases where it'd come in handy.
Thanks, great video. I just bought the GOF 1300 which is a very similar router from bosch, however, the holes you used to attach the router to the piece of wood with the 6 mm screws are blocked and I can't insert the screws through them. Did you have the same problem? did you drill these holes? Thanks, SF
Simple ideas always the best cheers
they often are .... thank you
Hi I have one of these do you know how to release the plunge tension with the sliding button so the side ?
I love this, so much other faffy nonsense out there
thank you...
Cheers buddy. awesome idea.
thank you ... but it is not all my idea.... I have seen other make something a lot like it.... this version is just how i do it
I was going to buy a router table but this looks good to me.
It will sure get most jobs done...
and cost vs value it ain`t easy to beat 👍
my AEG table router recently died and replaced it with a bosh plunge router, ive attached it to my existing table basically the same way as in the video. my only concern is that the locking mechanism on the height adjustment would end up slipping due to vibration and change the height while busy.
is this a problem you have encountered at all?
If you haven't already done so, and are still looking for a solution, add a locking nut to stop the adjustment from changing
Exactly the same router i just bought. This video has saved me a lot of grief as I wanted a table router but bought this one in error. So simple but effective, Thank you Kim. What was the thickness of the ply used?
oooh thats a hard one ... dont remember 10mm i think... you have a router so thikness do not matter jusy rout out some room for the router so the bits can reach .... just be mindfull not to weekend the ply too much.
Skol. Great video without any nonsense.
You are very welcome .... I am happy that you liked it 🙂
Thanks for making this video. I have the Bosch 1400 ACE router, which is very similar to yours, so this is a great video. I was wondering if the wood will not start to sag due to the weight of the router?
hi there
thank you for the kind words...
to answer your question .. yes in time it will i do not keep the router on there fore days on end..
solution to that can be eider use a thicker peace of wood or screw on some support underneath
Best reguards kim
Thanks for the simple guide to making this table. I have the POF1400ACE and am having a go at making this table. I'm using 18mm plywood and have (currently) left the router sole plate in position (as I don't have a centring cone.) However, I'm having a problem plunging the router bit through the plywood (roughly 10min into your video). I have a router guide bearing clearance hole cut into the plywood, but when I fit the roundover bit (1/4" shank with 6mm radius roundover bit) I don't seem to have sufficient plunge travel to get through the plywood. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi there
well your problem is that your plywood is to thick or you router bit is too short ....
a possible fix is to rout some of the plywood off so you can place your base of the router in the cut out...
take off half the thickness of the plywood or something like that.
you can make it as fancy as you will like... draw round the base and cut it out so it fits perfect or just rout out enough so there is room fore it ... it will make no difference fore its practical use just keep it safe don`t make the plywood to thin so the jig become unsafe.
best regards Kim.
Brilliant,,👍👍👍
thank you so much .....
thanks a lot, inspiring...
you are welcome...
I`m happy you got something out of the video.
What thickness plywood are you using for the router table
Hi There..
Sorry i can not remember .... but it is not that important what thickness you use if your bits do not reach through just rout out an recess...
Just be careful that you don`t make your plywood too thin ...
regards Kim
I'm gonna find the composer of this song and make them eat their sheets.
nice one.
thank you...🙂
You should try sharpening your drill bits !
hehe yeps.... or buy some better quality once that actually are worth sharpening ...
