- I needed to build a router table for some molding work on my new space and don't have time to build a big one so I made this easy-to-build router table with a couple of cool tricks up its sleeves.

Finally a "doable" fence project, without complicating too much. Thanks a lot. Saved video!
What I enjoyed about your video is that you call it a DIY video and you don't need a workshop full of expensive tools to make it.
So far I watched half a dozen videos to make router tables and with the exception of yours they all have huge workshops and thousands of dollars worth of tools.
If I had thousands of dollars worth of tools I probably wouldn't be watching DIY stuff!
Thanks again
Better than any routewr table I have seen so far. Defo one for my workshop. Thanks
Nice useful table
The timing of this post is perfect! I've been clamping my router to my workbench upside down and just using the regular faceplate. We were finally called out for it in our latest video. Looks like I'm making one of your router tables.
Thanks Izzy. You proved that one doesn't need a fancy faceplate, fancier fence and most fancy tracks to make a router do what you want !!
You make everything seem so simple and possible! Thanks!
Made this table yesterday. Worked great for what I needed. Thanks Izzy.
I've been debating building a table for 10 years and you just ended . That's exactly what I need ! Thanks for an average Joe video for an average Randy . So simple .
Great video!!! I've been looking for a router table but couldn't justify the cost. This is a great solution and I love the pivoting fence. So simple but effective.
I absolutely love your how to videos, you have some of the best jigs for creative wood working...don't ever stop!
Izzy you keep showing me things that I didn't know I needed. Thanks man!
This is one of the best DIY router table that I've seen. Simple, easy to make and it is functional! Izzy gets bizzy!!
Down in FL helping my son with his move. This will be very helpful as we try and get some projects done. I miss my shop but this will help.a lot.
Recently I've watched loads of DIY router tables; this is the first I've seen with the swinging fence rather than a parallel fence. This looks so much easier to set up. I'll watch it again a few times as I feel I'm missing something compared with all the other parallel fences !!! It's certainly a novel idea. Cheers Izzy.
Thank you after watching so many of these videos, I finally found a good easy cheap way to make a router table. 4 thumbs up for best video!!!!

C’est exactement ce que je me disais, c’est la meilleure vidéo sur ce sujet. Bravo à ce monsieur....
Great vid, I have a Bosch router and a small shop so this will work great for me. I can leave the fixed base permanently mounted in the table and use the plunge base for hand routing. Liked the blues harp as well. Thanks for thinking of us small shop guys.
Thank you so much! It’s been hard to find a truly simple router table build. And I love the pivoting fence. All kinds of cool stuff you can do. Can’t wait to make it
Your freehanding skills are outrageous; and apparently ambidexterous.
You rock... Frickin machine dude...
Ok I was blown away by the pivot, for reals, great idea and seems simple to build
Awesome table! Simple and effective! I love the swing fence!
Just made mine ,so simple and easy to use , thanks Izzy👍👍👍👍🔨🔨🔨🔨
Thanks Izzy for sharing your knowledge its always a pleasure to watch what you got going on.
I love the way you make these brilliant things for 5c. First class. Thanks
That is pretty darn cool! Love that router table. Simple, but effective. Perfect!
Ah that’s such a cool table - I’m gonna make a router table as one of my future projects, the hinging fence is great , I can imagine myself routing guide runners for all sort of crazy mechanisms! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome idea Izzy, this will be great for me to try in my garage where work space is certainly at a premium. Thank you!
Pivoting the fence displays genius in simlpicity. In one morning, I threw one together and made the fluted molding I needed for a job. Thank You!
Been doing the same with my drill press for years!!
Thanks for the inspiration, just made one using the pivot idea and a few other bits from other videos. Love your stuff Izzy. Andy UK
Hi Izzy
Greetings from Northern Ireland. I just love your videos. I love that your videos are real, not fanboy bullish!t for Red tools or Yellow tools. It is great to see stuff that real world hobbyists can do and afford.
Also that you can actually do the stuff for real and not just talk about it. Keep it going. Love it !
The attachable is a great idea gonna use it for my router/jigsaw table, best diy router table I've seen so far.
I made your table saw plan on making this great router table tonight. Thanks for the great advice and down to earth style!
Build this today with small modifications to clamp it into a old workmate. Simple to build and very helpful! Thanks for the idea.
great to see how this is done, simple, something that will definitely be installed in my garage
I just watched a ton of videos on making a router table and this is by far the best! Getting started right now haha. Thanks dude this is so helpful!!
Thank you for this. Built this basically as you did in an afternoon. Already useful.
Awesome Izzy does it again. An inspiring project for the weekend. Thank you.
The pivoting fence is BRILLIANT!!!
I like this guy. He cuts straight line without any guide. Very cool. 👍
This is what Iove about your channel. Sometimes the most simple solutions are the best solutions. Thanks for sharing!
Again - The mind of a master. Your innovations are amazing and btw " Love the music too "
I finally made it! It works! Thank you for the simplicity!
Yeap! Im 100% making one like that one, so easy.. You're the best mr. Izzy swan
Izzy - not completely necessary but it just makes me feel better! My man.
I’m building a fence like this. Never thought about being able to make grooves like that. Thanks. Always great content.
This dudes brain is on another level. Love the Izzy builds.
It's a real joy to watch you work. The command and mastery you show is very impressive. Thanks for the videos.
Bloody hell this was brilliant! Never thought of having the fence on a pivot - might have to try this.
Very cool. I built something very similar about a year ago. Of course I didn’t think of the extension or the miter gauge. You are a genius!!
Izzy , once again your smart, simple and effective, I love it!!
Very cool Izzy. My only hack would be to make the fence base out of 3/4 stock or two layers of 1/2” so you can hold the “faces” up 1/8” or so off the table surface as a sawdust relief. Been doing that on all my shopmade stuff - it eliminated the problem of sawdust buildup wrecking my cuts.
Pretty amazing router table! Especially love how you created the details in the board -- way cool!! :)
The rotating fence is a stroke of genius!
Simple and effective! Love it.
Thank you so much for your video! Brilliant instructions, built one yesterday and it is working just great!
These videos are the reason I love this channel.
Just watched this video, and while watching it, thought I won’t try this build as the fence is only held one end! However once you demonstrated how it works, I was blown away by how clever it really is, especially cutting curves. You should patent the design.
Thanks all the way from England. 👍👍👍
You are really creative, Izzy. Thanks.
You never disappoint. Every video I watch, I think "how did I not think if that?" Awesome project.
Awesome video! One of the absolute best builds I have seen in the past 5 years! Thanks!
*Sir*,thank you for sharing your router table build with us, it's truly a no nonsense table. One I would truly like to try and make, with very limited tools available.
Thank you Izzy. Your'e a good bloke. Love your work.
Just what I needed to see! Nice, watching a skilled craftsman! Excellent video!
Izzy you always amaze me with your simple yet genius builds
That pivot fence trick was amazing!
Now You have a spacious workshop. Waiting for new successful projects!
Way cool build! Thanks for sharing Izzy!
This is so great - THANKS!! I am going to try to adapt it as a drop-in for the open space on my Rigid table saw; there is a big gap when you extend the table to the right of the blade. I'll bet that will work.
Izzy you the BOMB your knowledge is awsome. Thanks
Awww man this is awesome. Definitely going to have to try this out.
MAN!!! that is freakin awesome. i'm using this when i get my bench built
Brilliant, and simple, fence design. Thanks!
I remember the old PBS Router series where the old man had a simple router table like this with the the pivoting fence. That guy could do anything on that thing.
That's great. I've been wanting something like this that would clamp into my face vise.
I think I may be building that this weekend. Awesome design and I appreciate the consideration for smaller shops and portability. Great work as always Izzy.
Absolute Genius.....you certainly aren't afraid to think outside the box.....
I am definitely making one of these !!!! : ) : ) : )
This a perfect table that I wanted to build. Thanks
Thank you for all your wonderful videos.
The genius of izzy strikes again. Wow man you never disappoint. This is going to help so much in my small garage. Thanks again "da Vinci "
Hj Izzy inspiring stuff ,just setting up my garage has a work shop in my retirement love the jigs you use have given me lots of ideas to try many thanks from Alan in Liverpool
Love the homemade tool vids and minimum tool vids! Looking forward to the next one!
Very ingenious idea Izzy.
Thanks for sharing
I need to do this! Great addition to the shop.
Excellent and beautifully simple
this is going to be my weekend project
Keep your rounded corner theme going on all of the elements of the build and looks great! The tips and tricks are brilliant and I would make the hinge point of the fence a slot so you can change it on the fly.
Tony Taliaferro a slot+ a bearing, no wear.
Great quick project! The how to studio is really coming along!
-Caleb Harris
Simple and effective! Thanks for sharing.
Wooha! One handed cuts with no cut guide, that's amazing!
Going to make one this weekend for sure. Need it for finishing edges of my cutting boards. Thanks Izzy.
I needed one table and you just gave me a great tutorial to make one:-) Izzy thank you so much !!
Can't wait to build mine today
For quick and dirty, this is a super cool router table. Perfect for the small shop.
Needs dust collection though.
Love the simplicity of the build. Very cool to watch this come together. Nice work man.
Awesome - quick & easy and extremely functional.
Your creative ideas out of routine stuff is mind blowing. God bless.
Fantastic! Now I want to try and build one.
This is so cool, smart but simple and effective without any complicated parts.
I definitely will copy your invention Sir, thank you for sharing.
love it. I want a router lift insert for my table, but I think this is something I'm more apt to build and use
That was really cool. I had already made a table for my router, but if not, this would have been the way to go.
This is badass! Not surprised given you are a total legend. Thanks brotha!!
This is a really creative design. All your videos keep me thinking about how to make really cool things. Thanks.
Hey mate, nice work been looking through UA-cam for ideas on my router table and this is the best one I've seen by far. Gonna try it myself tomorrow, cheers!
