That was the plan, but we'll have to figure out another time for it. It'll be fun because it'll be a learning experience for us since we're normally fishing for trouts!
great video. i’ve got some small mouth streams in my area that would be perfect for a rod like that. i’m definitely interested. would the bear rod stand up to some 2-3 lb smallies?
We were using the Beartooth, Sierra, and White Cloud rods. We went with shorter rods because we knew the fish were going to be small and not spook too easily. But we definitely could have fished bigger rods.
I get why you would think that and normally that is the case but these are actually native Redband trout, and redbands retain their par marks through adulthood.
Beautiful rendition of plush lol man you guys make my day
Glad you enjoyed it
Fabulous fishing and good video. Nothing like this in UK.
Glad you enjoyed it!
3:54 bit of spunk in 'em. haha great video guys, tight lines!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Haha I glad somebody caught that!
You guys always raise my stoke levels.
Glad to hear!
Awesome dudes
Tunas always singing hahahahaha 🤣 you guys rock stoked for my beartooth to come in yyyyeeeewwwww
I always sing when I fish too. My golden tones attract the brookies.....yea I wish. Great video guys.
Sometimes ya got to serenade those fish to get them looking up!
It don’t get much better than this! Looks like a Idaho lava rock river gorge to me!
Great video. Makes me wish I was there. Love Tenkara.
Like the Redband trout, now I know what they look like. Thanks for the info and what they were hitting on; videos are always helpful.
Glad you like them!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some people have all the fun. Looks like a good time!
Time to join us on another one!
i would like to see an up close look at the flies that you use most. Wet and dry. I love the videos, not as much fun or as beautiful here in NJ.
We are working at making them more detailed. Check out our latest video we go a little more in depth with our flies.
Nice acoustics for your aria!
I am so excited about getting my beartooth rod to be able to do these types of trips. Great job guys.
Thanks Scott! Beartooth rods will be shipping very soon!
looks like perfect water for The White Cloud.
White Cloud and Beartooth water for sure!
This makes me rethink my weekend plans. Thanks for the inspiration. I've got a new species to introduce my sawtooth rod to.
Nice! Let us know how it goes!
Nice job
I think the acoustics were great! STP
I think this is your best video yet. Good explanation of what you're doing.
@@willrearick8712 thanks Will! We keep experimenting and trying to include more information so any feedback really helps.
That little spot has got to be close by.
Since I live in Ohio I have never even considered fishing in the desert. Another fun video!
Thanks for the video! Headed back to Wydaho next week and can hardly wait to pull out my Sawtooth.
Good luck!
Would love to see a carp fishing trip.
That was the plan, but we'll have to figure out another time for it. It'll be fun because it'll be a learning experience for us since we're normally fishing for trouts!
The fight of a carp on a tenkara line is a blast! They will rip the rod out of your hand if your not careful!
Great video! Starting to think of little desert steams to try out
A lot of time during runoff, we're looking for desert streams to check out
Absolutely amazing footage.
Many thanks! Glad you liked it.
Awesome
Fishing that spot this time of year the fish are not at all picky! I'm heading down there this weekend.
How did it go? Fun spot!
Looks like the Owyhee canyon.
Lots of cool spots in the Idaho desert that get overlooked.
Loved the video!
great video. i’ve got some small mouth streams in my area that would be perfect for a rod like that. i’m definitely interested. would the bear rod stand up to some 2-3 lb smallies?
Yes the Beartooth could definitely handle fish in that range for sure. Good luck!
@@tenkararodco sweet! thanks. much appreciated.
NICE. gorgeous spot! got my beartooth coming next moooonnnth!!! seriously hit me UP my dudes.
Great video guys, Tuna which rod were u using ? And in tight cover do u prefer a longer rod over sometime shorter ?
We were using the Beartooth, Sierra, and White Cloud rods. We went with shorter rods because we knew the fish were going to be small and not spook too easily. But we definitely could have fished bigger rods.
I want to see more footage of Lars.
He's too camera shy
Do those fish get big??
TopSecretVid I don’t think so
Looks like a great spot. I didn't catch what stream that was?
What state are you in here?
It was the desert of either Idaho, Oregon, or Nevada!
Utah and sometimes California.
Ben Castleberry missed out big time. caught all the fish without him.
Is that a Sierra (blue) and a white cloud (black)?
Correct!
Gorgeous stream and location. I assume Idaho. Which rods were you using?
We were using the Sierra, White Cloud, and Beartooth. Smaller rods for smaller water.
@@tenkararodco In Idaho? How far from Victor? :)
@@gregengelman Its the other side of the state, middle of nowhere really
No Utah....Its the place to go.🤣
If I guess will you tell me? Salmon Falls Creek?
Thats not it, you're in the right state!
Little Jacks Creek?
But where is this??
Ah shit just finished the video lol no asking
@@braxtonleefilmco.3686 haha, sorry those are just the fishing rules!
@@tenkararodco who ever made that rule needs slapped haha
Par marks mean that they're still babies. If that's all there is, I'd move on.
I get why you would think that and normally that is the case but these are actually native Redband trout, and redbands retain their par marks through adulthood.
