Nobody wants to die, but as an officer sworn to serve and protect, saving children should be something you’re willing to risk your life over. This is so sad.
Unfortunately, there are laws on the books that say cops have no legal or moral liability to put themselves in harms way. It is solely a personal choice.
@@demonsmokr meanwhile, truckers, have a legal obligation to risk their own lives, if anyone else is at risk. If they don’t choose a course of action that saves as many lives as possible, they are tried, and stripped of their license. Charged with manslaughter. The fact that officers don’t have even this same basic standard is insane.
If you want the title and the honor of "protecting your community," you're supposed to risk your life over something like this. It's what you signed up for. You consented to taking that risk. Just like how doctors and nurses consent to the risk of getting covid when it was killing their patients left and right. If you don't want to do what the job entails, find a different job.
Every bullet the shooter was firing could have been injuring or killing a young kid I agree they should have a better response to active shooter situations I looked at those kids faces on the news they barely lived what’s really sad is that seems to be becoming a trend this is terrible I’m sure those families must be torn aswell.
Any update? Did he run out of the school for cover? Look closely. In the beginning, he almost appears to peek around at first as if he'd already seen a guy with a gun walking. Why did he hold the corner of the wall to look closely and not keep walking? I wonder if he'd already noticed the gunman? Was he going to the restroom?
The kid who peaked from the wall and saw the gunman and knew to run back quietly to his classroom and witnessing a whole classroom being shot up is absolutely horrifying
4:32 it is terrifying. The fact that if that kid got there like 3 seconds earlier, he would’ve died, It gives me goosebumps how lucky that kid is. I hope he’s ok
if that were me as a child , his outfit would’ve made me curious it’s starting with the vest. since from that angle you can’t see his gun , but he was wearing tactical gear.

this is terrifying. imagine being in a classroom, what is supposed to be a “safe place” and someone coming in and takes fire on all of your friends and teachers. trying to run away, scream, and when you finally think help arrives, they just stand there and do nothing. your screams of terror don’t do anything to move them. they just stand there and watch. heartbreaking.
First off that can’t be right . U should just use your brain . 376 is an army LOL. U can just hear anything and believe it basically is what your saying buddy? Take a break from the internet
The cops stood there listening while those kids and teachers got killed. They had weapons and did nothing to help those that were killed. I’m so sorry for the families that lost their loved ones.
This was so heartbreaking to watch, the fear the little boy showed when he saw the shooter and heard the gunshots is the same fear all of the kids felt. To think some were still alive and brave enough to call police, waiting for police to come in and save them, all the while the police is right outside their classroom checking their phones and sanitizing their hands…
I can’t stop thinking about that little boy hiding in the bathroom! I heard but I’m not sure that he was in there for the duration of the shooting. He couldn’t have been more than 8 yrs old, in there alone and terrified for what must’ve felt like an eternity. I hope the cops were talking to him and reassuring him, but I doubt it. I know he survived, but he will be traumatized for the rest of his life. 😢
I am just so glad that little boy didn’t call that man. That would have just been devastating!! I think the schools need to have training for these kids maybe have a butting to push to alert all the classes and police of a school shooting. Ughhhh
it’s so sad one girl had to use her bestfriends blood to pretend to be dead and seeing those cops run away and not protect the children is heartbreaking. as a child who still attends school and just imagining those little kids who depended on those policemen to save them and still getting shot is actually really sad and horrifying.
This is absolutely embarrassing just seeing the officers stand there doing nothing is disgusting.Their actions are something that can never be forgiven
Every time I heard that gunshot noise, a tear dropped. I can imagine the pain those children went to that day. I never want to see the words “shooting” and “elementary school” in the same sentence. These children deserve the world. Rip to the ones who lost their lives that tragic day.
What happens in this video: 4:20 shooter walks in 4:32 first kid to see shooter 4:38 first round of gunshots 4:40 shooter enters class 4:57 shooter goes back into hallway 5:00 enters class again 5:39 little girl screams then most likely gets shot 6:26 you can hear faint screaming or crying but you need to turn volume up to hear 7:02 police enter school 7:13 police aim at shooter then retreat 8:23 cop pulls out phone then puts it away 8:53 speed up 9:06 cops check on nearby classroom 9:20 they have eyes on the shooter 10:10 shooter is down
Exactly and the worst part is that the doors were unlocked and police weren’t doing anything they could hear the shooting and I absolutely cried for those little children that still had a long life to live also the teachers that sacrificed themselves, May they R.I.P ❤
It's the US, when all this woke groups and dumb extreme liberals that are restraining people instead of liberating are causing stress amongst the youth. This is why these young men are becoming more violent.
There's a video of a mom that went in to save her two boys and not only saved her boys but a whole classroom of kids. Now she's being harassed by the police and threatened interfering with an active shooter investigation. Just because she's got the balls to go in and do what she needed to do and all you cops that stood by while these innocent babies and teachers got gunned down is disgusting on your part! They were handcuffing parents who heard the shots and knew their babies were in there while the cops just stood there ! I would have done the samething to save as many as I could have even if I would have got shot in the process!
Amen, maybe we need more women officers. They have a heart of a mother and would die trying to save children. Especially if men w protection are just standing there?
If I were her, I would take the harassment and trouble from the police and gotten handcuffed with a smile on my face. There are certain things just worth getting in trouble with the law for. Children are number 1 on that list. I heard gunshots outside of my apartment window weeks ago at night, my first reaction was to get my child to an inner room and to get on the floor. Protecting all children should be any adults gut reaction in any situation, forget everything else.
The fact that they waited so long to pull up an entire army yet still do absolutely NOTHING is beyond my belief. Their cowardness costed many lives. May those children and teachers rest in peace.
Cowardly behaviour sure , but at the same time a natural instinct to stay away from a situation which will a 100% bring death as the gun man would obviously be ready for anyone to enter the classroom
@@shukrantpatil Natural instinct or not, it's their duty to serve and protect civilians in danger. They were trained to perform certain procedures in various different situations. It is not appropriate to say that the timing of a little boy during a tragic event is a blessing. The loss of life and harm caused during a horrific event is a tragedy that cannot be minimized or justified by the timing of any individual's actions. Furthermore, it is important to recognize that this statement may come across as insensitive or inappropriate to the families and loved ones of the victims who have suffered immeasurable loss and trauma. It is important to express empathy and compassion towards those affected by such tragedies and to focus on honoring the memory of the victims rather than singling out an individual for their timing. In summary, while it is understandable that individuals may feel a range of emotions in response to a horrific event, it is not appropriate to suggest that any individual's actions during such an event are a blessing. It is more appropriate to express condolences for those affected and honor the memory of the victims.

Even my highschool, which was noticeably easier to get into, you'd have a tough time not being noticed fast. Was noone at school this day? Was there an unattended back door that would allow entrance? Was the front administrators office not in view of the front entrance? Lots of questions

Lucky he's alive
I've thought about every hiding spot in my school I could possibly be in at any time because I don't want this to happen to me or my friends, and I know these kinds of things are unlikely to happen but the fact that the chance is still there scares me. I hope I never have to go through this.
Your a smart kid, I hope the best for the families and the poor children who have died. I hope you never (nor myself) have to ever go through this at all. It hurts me so much to know this happens way too often in schools...
I'm going to high school next year and I don't know where anything is gonna be, I js hope I'll be able to look for places to be safe in any emergency
I pray you don’t may god protect you and keep you from any harm or danger
My heart is really broke hearing all these gun shots and no one did anything
I agree, their been waiting for the group active
Why do they hate Latinos?
While the reason the cop looking at his phone is reasonable, now knowing that his wife was one of the teachers in the classroom. His actions are even worse knowing this. You know your wife is under attack, you arrive on scene and here screaming and gun shots and don’t even attempt to enter that room? He didn’t even go down the freaking hallway! I know stress can do crazy things to the mind and body but come on man
He probably used to watch black dude’s f**k his wife
That's what I said. How did he not know this and I'm sure he regretted just standing there.
He knew what he was told to do, no matter the cost.
That wasn't the cop. It was misinformation
@@brettb4452 maybe what was told to him was but ALL news sources say that was him looking on his phone with the wife.
It's ashamed to see those officers delay and not act fast. R.I.P. to those innocent lives lost. My thoughts and prayers go out to their families.
They have to identify the shooter
Pray don't save lives
Lol, thoughts and prayers do nothing!
Same too bru.
8:23 this officer checking his phone multiple times knowing he can hear screams and shots being fired is absolutely disgusting to me.
It’s so sad knowing that all those kids who are my daughters age didn’t stand a chance. And frustrating that the police figured their life was more important. Who knows how many children would have been saved if just one officer had the guts to go in. 😢
I am neither cop nor do I have kids, but I’d like to think most of us would die trying out of instinct.

It’s absolutely pathetic and every one of those “cops” should
Be fired. They’re useless
@@BBCforyoHoe cops can die too
Sad

5:38 literally makes me sick to my stomach... I have a 10 yr old son & this is unimaginable, unfathomable, indescribable... I could go on. Those poor, innocent, precious children & their teachers. 😫 I could feel the evil coming from him, as soon as he walked through the side door, & it almost took my breath - it's overpowering. I keep thinking about those kids not even an hr before this, they were accepting awards & making plans for the end of the day after school with their parents/families; then 77 mins of pure terror & evil took it all away. 💔
What is heartbreaking is that in the original camera footage you can hear the children screams. They purposely took out the screams. That was peoples children. I would want to hear them. See what thy went through. Because they went through worse than you can imagine. That one little girls scream can just tell me everything. That was most likely the last thing that came out of her mouth. That’s pure terror. If the police would have acted fast half of the children would still be here.
@@Cupid_PlaZu dam well know u don’t wanna hear their screams cuz of what they went through u are just curious and wanna hear them scream
When it's the "someone screams" they killed the murderer
At 7:58 the officer pulled out his phone because his wife works at the school right and the shooter went to her classroom and she called him and told him that she’s been shot and is dying so that’s why he tried to run to the classroom but the officers held him back which was so sad
@11:36 there are 7 cops in the building.
No training, no heart, not a clue what to do.
Should of stacked up, rifles in the front, and went in.
They should all lose their badges and be banned from law enforcement.
Absolutely disgusting.
I wish there was a charge for being a coward.
Right they seemed so f**king clueless! What training they got?
Exactly what I was thinking.
They should go to PRISON
@@bunnypeople how about the electric chair or shooting squad?
They got plenty of training. They just didn't use it.
this is just terrible i cant believe people do things like this.. poor children and teachers 😭 🙏! when the volume goes off when its shooting.. does that mean the people are screaming in terror? 😢😢💔
