That way when I inevitably screw up a dish I know I can do it better the next time. And it really helps to find things that you love to cook. Have fun and relax with it.

This looks so good. My mom is from 🇻🇨 so we use the egg to bring it together as well. I like it that way. I don't want to eat macaroni pie and think of childhood Kraft Mac n cheese. I also like using mustard in my pie, a little grated onion, and a tiny bit of garlic powder. Once I did too much and it killed it. 😅😅😅 Learning from mistakes.
I know the usual pasta is elbow...but, try small shells and see what happens. The cheese sauce sinks into the macaroni and it is heaven in your mouth. Enjoy!

This the way I was taught to make mac and cheese with a white sauce minus the egg and mustard. Of course make it your own and use the cheeses you prefer but this is a good baseline to start with.
