Correct, I believe high sens increases the window from 5 frames to 6 and low decreases the window from 5 to 4. It's more important to change this setting based on how you play and if you want smashes or tilts to be easier.
Shoot, you’re right. Sorry about that - I based this video off of SmashWiki’s page about the small step forward smash, which didn’t mention stick sensitivity. Maybe that could be a good follow-up video topic in the near future, lol
I've heard this called stutter step, you can space away from the direction you fsmash by cancelling your reverse initial dash as well (dash dance input + a).
I just wanted to say, thanks for making all these guides on nuanced smash bros techniques. My friend gets frusterated playing me because hes still learning and idrk how to teach him these things myself
I’ve never heard of canceling a tilt with a smash - I know you can cancel a tilt with a jump (like with attack cancel bairs), but I’ve never seen cancels into smashes. And yeah I know it’s old, but I did come across this tech’s page on SmashWiki and realized I hadn’t gone over it yet lol
You've seen me do the reverse actually. Where I charge a smash attack, but using the character's innate "wind up" animation to microspace backwards to hard punish some landings. I'm sure I got this on you a few times during our matches.
forgot to mention that stick sensitivity changes this I think

This tech is why Roy can kill at 40 or 50 with jab fsmash sometimes lol I love to see it

Great video Sirius!
I love it!
Thank you 🙂
I personally prefer angling upwards my stick to cancel the dash, this works with down smash too
0:40 yes you can, you can cancel the slide with a tilt then cancel the tilt with f smash. Also this tech is oooooold

I just use the smash stick but i might swap for some mains cus tilt seems like u can get alot more goodies.
I changed my x button to use grabbing. It’s revolutionary 🧢

Yeah, I’ve definitely seen that - my air speed doesn’t let me drift forward enough to catch your f-smash because of that, lol
