My first ever loco, when I was a small boy back in the early 1970s, was a Brush Type 2 (the one with the non-prototypical blue with white banding and roof livery) that came with the Triang Freightmaster train set . It hadn't moved for decades, but recently I restored it to running order. Of course, the magnets no longer work on nickel silver track, so it doesn't have much pulling power, but I don't care. It brings back happy memories of playing trains with my dad. As for your model, it looks and sounds superb: light years ahead of my Triang version! Looking forward to your full review. Thanks for sharing and putting a nostalgic smile on my face.
Hi, Another wonderful model from Accurascale, looking & sounding great with the backdrop of your fantastic layout. Looking forward to the review. Cheers John b😎
Hi Eugene I took delivery of the very same loco a few weeks ago, but unable to give it a ‘proper’ run as still laying track, so great to see it stretching its legs! The shade of blue appears lighter on your video, I have mine in front of me and I reckon it’s spot on. I always look forward to your reviews as they come across as professional and honest! Even though I have this loco, I’m looking forward to hearing your opinion! PS..love the class 33 parked up by your station 🙂
Very nice. Did you make those turnouts into the sheds or can they be bought? I have seen them outside of Kings Cross Station. Martin. (Thailand) "Yorkdale LNER Preservation Railway" UA-cam.

Thanks for sharing that. I have my own story I'll cover in the review based on an Airfix model - yes, Airfix. It was actually a decent model.
Running okay. Sound effects seem convincing. Thanks for uploading.

Good model. I got the Bachmann blue, not obvious if there is a clear winner. Got Accurascale skinhead Railfreight grey on order.

I use pretty bright lighting for the running session photography so I would expect that may be making a difference. Yes, that Class 33 is up next!
@ can’t wait…absolutely my favourite loco!!!! 👍🏻
Pretty close sounds from what I recall of the real thing.
Thanks for that.

Thanks. All the turnouts are standard parts, mainly Hornby for the R2 and curved versions, and Peco for the larger radius and 1:3 turnout.
