I hate to imply anything you do isn't perfect but a video like this really needs a date ticker. Your narrative is great, it's very concise and a litany of dates would be detrimental. But it would be nice if the month and year is always visible somewhere in the corner of the map. That also helps when you need to switch fronts/theaters as things can happen at the same time. Absolutely love your work. The moving maps are such a great aid in understanding the operational level of the wars, and something we never had before you guys started doing them. ❤

Im ok with this new style of mapping but I think the old style like that of the 1941-1945 eastern front series style was better than the current one. Still tho, cool vid and cool mapping, just hoping that one day u would return back to ur old style of mapping.
This exact time period already has a complete 3 video series in that style - this one looks like more of a overview that gives a quicker run down and more context about what's happening on the western front and how that plays back into the eastern front. So this one is a little more macro, while the previous three are more mirco. Would be nice if the title or description was a little more obvious about it, though.
That mapping was at the corps level I believe. At least it was for Eastern Front. Corps -- not divisions, which I would've preferred, but settled for Corps, as it was well ahead of anything else at the time/

Hey eastory, i've been a patron for a few years now. Just a few things I wanted to comment about the videos. While the content is great as always, I really prefered the old art style, the music, design of the map of the WW2 eastern front videos. I think a lot of others did too with the extremely high views they received. They were just a bit simpler and flowed really nicely. But yeah, the units, design, commentary, everything about those videos were just perfect. While these videos are good they just can be a little too much into the detail, quality not quantity. Either way keep it up! Will continue to support you.
It must have been terrifying for soldiers in eastern front to be encircled in fort, then get saved by friendly forces but soon they fall back but you are ordered to stay there and get trapped again
Your content could be even greater if you mentionned the actions of the Allied Armies of Orient in the Balkans, because it was a very big pressure and threat against Austro-Hungarians and prevented them to allocate all their troops to the eastern front. And also it prevented Turcs to support the other central powers. Also, US Expeditionnary Corps joined too late on the western front to have a real impact on the combats, but it was a great signal for central powers that they would lose finally.
Not to nitpick, but Ukraine was separated into two states, the one in the west called Western Ukraine. Also, there were two Lemko-Rusyn states (initially three) in southern Poland.
