Using Sawyer Picaridin for about a month now while hiking. Works great against mosquitoes, did get bit a few times. Not one horse fly bite, there is plenty where I am. No ticks either. Very happy with the results so far
*Yea I live in S.Carolina and this stuff is amazing. It works extremely well for about 6hours strong. Definitely wears off around 8hours I'd say its better than a thermacell actually. Much cheaper too*
I have tried the spray. It didn’t seem to work at all. I’m in Southeast Texas, the mosquitoes are terrible. Deet is the only repellent I’ve found effective.
Yes in areas with dense mosquitoes deet is your only real option. Picaridin is best used for mid level insect density. You also have to use it on dry skin. If you're already sweating it won't work at all :)
@1400deadwood well, maybe the young man was into inhaling this stuff. Who knows? DEET may be toxic but there are instructions and precautions how to use it, but many people don't bother to read it.
Thanks for the review... I’m in australia...I wanted to check this out but I only buy natural products now, I thought this might be. I get one called Moov which is melaleuca oil, seems to work, not as long lasting but I like knowing I’m not absorbing chemicals.

I'm using picaridin right now and it doesn't do shit, not even for 5 minutes. The mosquitoes are swarming.
😂
What happen if I mix both DEET and Picaridine together in one lotion ?
Good info, thanks.
The expiry date please

Can you use it on face?
I do. But obviously if it leaks into your eyes its gonna burn
Used 98% DEET in Belize and it didn’t work that great. No-see-ums we’re brutal.
Deet is useless. Permethrin
