I know this song is about addiction, but I can relate it to my anxiety. More often than not, I wake up experiencing a panic attack. More often than not, I have multiple anxiety attacks during the day and I am sick and tired of it. There's always this little voice in the back of my mind that tells me how little I am worth, how everything I do is a disappointment, to do better, and how everyone would be much better without me, and I do self-harm because it feels deserved in some way for not being good enough. I'm so tired of fighting it but I can't stop because I know I am stronger than that, but some days, I don't have the energy to keep up.
Your songs have helped me so much and I just want to say thank you for understanding and creating something people can use to help heal their pain.

Each turn could lead you to the exit and freedom, but sometimes you are working yourself in deeper, hitting dead end after dead end, and it seems like it will never be over. But sooner than you might think, things will start to look familiar. You will recognize where you need to double back, not take one turn but another, and then there is the exit, your freedom away from whatever is gripping your life, addiction, anxiety, depression, pain from loss of those you love.

In all honestly, the thing that this song fits about me is my anger. I’ve got so much rage built up, that when I snap, I can’t control what I do. Every time I do snap, I hurt people, and after I keep myself locked away for a while.
I can relate to that. It shocks people that I could have filed so many things away when it comes bursting out once I finally snap, and I always end up ruining things. At least I've learnt to suppress it better now so it happens rarely.

I know this song is about addiction but I can relate to it with my depression. I struggle with self harm and I usually get urges at night and the voices in my head always scream at me to relapse. When ever I have an urge to cut I always put on you’re music! I love you guys so much, you literally have helped me so much and I only found you just a few weeks ago! You know, when I listen to music, I want to find things that not only sound good, but things I can relate to or actually puts out a true message, regardless how scary or shocking. This band hits the nail on the head, and although I'm still relatively new to their music, I'm actually a fan because they perform and sing to get that message out there. I had a very dark chapter in my life where after a serious injury I was addicted to pain killers. I used to spend days without sleeping because at night I’d just want something to numb a pain I didn’t have but I could feel in my entire body. This song really hit home on that, and reminded me of a part of my life that passed and I’m glad I left behind, but I still pray for everybody else who hasn’t been able to move on or were too late to stop. My heart and soul goes out to all of you.

Don't know how it took me this long to find this. But I type "The Devil inside me" into UA-cam search, and I got this. As many others have already stated, it speaks to them in many ways..and I'm no different. This is a powerful feeling song though, I am glad to have discovered it. Whether you embrace the chaos and demon is up to you. At least it is one more track to add to a playlist that I will always appreciate and help my soul. Thank you.
