Agreed too. But even counting the sequels, Iago did inspire Jafer to marry Jasmine and later dispose of her and the Sultan later, so I think his placement is justified. It took a full movie to redeem him!

I think it should be pointed out that the hyenas cared more about one another than scar did about the other lions.

I think the hyenas were not truely evil. They were banished from the kingdom just because they are predators. They were starving and scar offered them food.

We see when Scar is running the Pride Land that the hyenas hunt everything to near-extinction, draining all the resources and creating economic devastation. This suggests that they were not starving because of Mufasa, but because of their own bloodthirsty lack of restraint.

It seems kind of tragic that, in the entire history of Disney sidekicks, only Maleficent, Ursula and Jafar were able to get competent sidekicks.

I think Iago is too low due to his work in the sequels and ultimately being the one to save the day by not only killing Jaffar but freeing the Genie who saved Aladdin before he was beheaded.

Shenzi was a weird thing for 90's kids to see and hear. Whoopi Goldberg never played or voiced evil characters before, but she nailed that one.
As someone who played Shenzi in a Lion King play a month ago, I can confirm that she is, without a doubt, the most evil Disney sidekick there is.
How do you figure that? I'm honestly curious. 🤔 The hyenas always struck me as more hungry, desperate, and easily manipulated than truly evil.

Why didn't you mention Iago's turn around in the sequel? Not only is he the one to defeat Jafar to save Aladdin and his friends (at great risk to himself and with nothing to gain out of it when he could have had power at Jafar's side), in the entire Aladdin TV series and the 3rd movie he's one of Aladdin's friends. That should not only be worth noting, but also reduce his ranking.

@@samwitherington8202 well Kaa is a hungry snake and snakes are predators just like tigers the only difference is that Shere Khan is also attacking Mowgli out of fear after all humans are the reason he's an endangered species and if you knew anything about animals especially carnivores then you should know that they are more dangerous when provoked. Also in real life tigers have done the EXACT SAME THING Shere Khan did ON A REGULAR BASIS.

One I might have considered for the list is Honest John and Gideon from Pinocchio. They are greedy, manipulative and have little to no scruples about effectively selling children into slave labor. Granted, it may be a reach to call them sidekicks as they worked for the highest bidder rather than one master villain, but they were the catalyst for having Pinocchio captured by Stromboli and later by the Coachman, giving them a sort of side-kick role for both evildoers. Thanks for a fun list of nasties and semi-nasties.
I kinda like hyenas. The more i think about it, i rooted for the hyenas. They, led by Shenzi was the final boss battle Scar had to face. Simba was the first boss battle. The hyenas was the final boss or bosses. Too bad they didn't appear again in the second Lion King movie. They could've been allies to Simba this time, looking at the fact that Scar betrayed them, and the renegade pride as i call Scars onterage, i don't remember movie names that well, were loyal to Scar

Iago is pretty high on your evillist considering that he redeems himself and is willing to sacrifice himself to aid the heros in the 2nd film and becoming the friend of the hero. ;) he is definatly less evil than the creepy eels.
Iago is high on the ranking but at the end of The Return of Jafar he was reformed and join Aladdin and his friends. That's why I like him more👿😇

You forgot the Weasels in the general Disney franchise, from The Wind In The Willows and on (Prince and the Pauper, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, House Of Mouse), they're probably the most evil, or at least second evil sidekicks. However, don't we forget that Smee himself suggested Hook to cut Peter Pan's throat while this one was sleeping instead of using a disguised bomb.

How the hell are the stepsisters more evil than Flotsam/Jetsam, and the literal (attempted) murderers listed above them?
Desoto and Roscoe are actually Dobermans. Rotties have more rounded ears and not cropped.
Another thing about kronk is that he is such a good person that is shoulder devil is more of a troll than a demon who even stands up for kronk when yzma insulted his spinach puffs

Are the hyenas really that evil though? They were just hungry and forced to scrounge in the graveyard by the lions. Eating kids is also… kind of what predators do. That’s a huge part of why many animals never reach adulthood.
Because they're gluttons who care nothing about balance and harmony and only want instant gratification. That's why they were banished from the pride-lands in the first place, because they didn't respect or honor life the way the other predators did and simply killed and ate everything they came across. Just look at what they did to the pride-lands under Scar's rule. Also, they were rather sadistic in their hunts based on how they tormented Simba, Nala, and Zazu.

@ Eli Bridgers. I’d put sir hiss more in the middle, as he doesn’t do anything pure evil and does question prince john’s decision to hang friar tuck, but has no problem with stealing from the poor nor with killing Robin Hood essentially without due process.

@@anaboveaveragerat4216 I'd say it kinda depends on the way you look at it. While Jack is probably the most pure (pre season 5 at least), if you go by the scale of their heroics (like they did for the Dreamworks heroes list) then i'd say Ben Tennyson would probably be the most good since his heroics saved the universe multiple times and he's even been responsible for saving the multiverse a few times.

11:24 If WickedBinge watched The Return of Jafar, the TV series, and The King of Thieves, Iago has very much redeemed himself of his past involvement and role in the main movie as an evil sidekick. Iago was the one that put the final blow to Jafar by using his last ounce of strength to destroy Jafar's lamp, effectively killing him. Since then, he has became a supportive ally and confidante of Aladdin and company on their many adventures, although he's still a bit motivated by greed and treasure, he has quite a good heart at times. Aladdin and Co. may have imprisoned Jafar in the lamp at the end of the first movie, but Iago was the one that *LITERALLY* sent him TO HELL, and therefore became a TRUE HERO of AGRABAH from making a bold sacrifice, even if he doesn't have any heroic traits.

They missed quite a few henchmen such as Doug from Zootopia, Wiggins from Pocahontas, the Huns from Mulan, Gideon and Honest John from Pinocchio, the cats from Lady and the Tramp, Creeper from the Black Cauldron, Facilier's Shadow from Princess and the Frog, and the Stabbingtons from Tangled.

Personally, I'd actually rank Flotsam and Jetsam as the most evil. The hyenas had understandable motive to work with Scar, feeling like they were getting a raw deal while Mufasa was king, etc., and of course, they had every reason to turn on and kill Scar after he broke every promise he made to them. Ursula's eels, on the other hand, seemed to help her hurt Ariel and others purely out of sadistic pleasure.

Wiggins (Pocahontas) and the Falcon (Mulan) not good enough to rank? I get Wiggins would be at the top end of "Least Evil" and the Falcon would not get far past Diablo, but they deserve mention.
Perhaps Le Fou is really Shakespeare's Fool: knows what he is doing and hides it all under a smokescreen of cluelessness. Gaston might have the muscle, but Le Fou is the brains. I'm sure that somewhere in his plans, Le Fou could have gotten rid of Gaston for his own nefarious needs.

Some notes:
Valkyrie as least good might be surprising, until you look at what she did. There are lots of heroes in the MCU who spent some time as villain, but Valkyrie is the only one who fully embraced her role working for Grandmaster for... what, exactly? And her age means she was a villain for much longer, and probably has a longer kill list than Nebula, Yondu, or Rocket (even if more indirectly).
Mantis worked for Ego out of fear, obviously, and I'll cut her some slack given her abusive upbringing. But she also knew he was a mass-murderer, and she aided him for years, so hard to put her higher than that.
Groot definitely comes off the most innocent, but he's a mercenary killer so........
Korg ranks low because he never really did anything. He only helped Thor so he could escape. He didn't do anything too bad, but nothing too heroic like the others here.
Iron Man is complicated. Yes, he gave his life to save everyone... but honestly, most of the characters on this list would've done the same thing if they were the one with the chance. Tony gave a ton, but he also recklessly created Ultron, killing a whole bunch of innocent people, endangered a child (Spider-Man) in his war against Steve, nearly killed Bucky for a crime he was not truly at fault for, and this is all after coming out of a life of building weapons of mass destruction. Tony's done some pretty terrible things...
Gamora gets slack where the other Guardians do not because she never truly wanted to be working for Thanos. The first Guardians film does not open with Gamora realizing she doesn't want to work with him; it opens with her actively planning her escape and looking for her opening. She has a damn long rap sheet, but she ever really have a choice? The fact she survived that abuse with so much of her humanity intact just proves how good she truly is.
Aaaaaand why does Falcon get #2 over Spidey...? Because he's a freaking random dude with no powers who was freaking retired when he realizes Captain America is working something and openly volunteers his help without any prompt. Seriously, Sam has exclusively made the most heroic decisions in every instant without a single mark against him. Steve really only beats him because Sam hasn't been tested too hard yet. Spider-Man, meanwhile, nearly killed his classmates a couple of times, so y'know...

I don’t think they should’ve got the gold medal but yeah they should’ve been higher. And Iago should’ve been a lot lower. He redeemed themselves! And they clearly knew about it because this video was made after their Aladdin good to evil video.
I don’t get why the stepsisters were rated worse than flotsam and jetsam. The eels have probably led all those merpeople to Ursula, where she would trick them and turn them into those creepy worm things. A fate worse than death in my opinion

I would rank Lucifer from Cinderella lower. He's a cat who wants to eat the mice and annoys the dog. That's normal cat behaviour, not evil. He does enjoy tormenting Cinderella, which is why he deserves a rank on this list, but I still think he's less evil than for example the eels or Horace and Jasper. And if we count Lucifer's behaviour in the sequels, than Iago saving everybody in the sequel should count, too, and *he* should be somewhat lower.

@@ge0rgialiv I know. Also she's one of the only underrated villains in Disney history that Wicked Binge actually put on thier Evil to most Evil ranking. Yes they missed some and they even missed some henchmen in this list to.
Very surprised that the sheriff of Nottingham didn't make the list. Personally, I would've put him in top 3.
