Holy cow, this looks like it was filmed yesterday -- what a restoration! Thank you WB!
Finally, my prayers are answered and I can throw the wretched 2005 DVD
away! Thank you WB! This film was one of the glories of the old 3-strip
technicolor process and deserves its restoration. And then, there is
Korngold's magnificent 'techniclor' score matching every fabulous frame.
I can hardly wait for its release!!!
In a way you kind of right, I have been watching this film over and over again with the 2005 version since the first time watching it back in 2018, and I'm not gonna lie I don't find that version too bad despite too many specks of dirt, scratches, and color frigeses, I liked the color reproduction, but I'm so happy to learn the original camera negative survives and now they made a blu ray version

Yeah, that's what make Technicolor great because it uses natural and original color when shooting it, unlike ordinary color emulsion layer films :)

Fantastic movie to watch and a great director Michael crutz did a amazing job director this movie also three brilliant actors in this movie Bette Davis was fantastic as queen Elizabeth her make was fantastic on her also great script as well I also really enjoyed watching this movie by this director
I hope they do a full restoration of "Life With Father" soon.
