You don't have to visit Thailand to eat street food. I've eaten street food in Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand. My 1st advice, don't stuff your face in one go. You'll need the space for the sweets and drinks, too! My 2nd advice, go when the dollar is strong.
If you had it with sticky rice, then that means you had a different dish entirely! You had _khao niao kai thot_ or fried chicken with sticky rice, which is the fried variant of _khao niao kai yang_ or grilled chicken with sticky rice. The dish in this video is _khao man kai thot_ or fried chicken rice, which is a variant of _khao man kai,_ which you could call "Thai chicken rice" as that dish itself is the Thai variant of Singapore's Hainanese chicken rice. So, _khao niao_ is sticky rice, and _khao man_ is oliy rice. They both have fried chicken but came from different origins, one from Isan/Laos, and one from Singapore/Hainan.
from time saving but delicious food to more authentic proper techniques in cooking components for dishes I always appreciate how much thought you put into perfecting your recipes much love ❤
That looks delicious. Greetings from Australia. I introduced my Dad to your Stir Fry Pepper Beef dish recipe and he absolutely loved it. Every now and then he cooks it. I can't wait to see more recipes.
There was a little chicken cart next to the 7/11 last time l was in Thailand, the did this dish with plain chicken, fried, or spicy chicken. That broth soup is amazing! They sold out early most nights.
Just cooked this dish thus weekend and it went well. The only part I need to improve is the broth. It wasnt as flavourful as I hoped. Will need more spices.
So I was looking for a scary story but somehow ended up on your channel (as always) lol. I am going to try this recipe. I failed so many times, not today! Lol. Thank you.
I've been looking for the name of the chicken for so long especially on your channel. This was my FAVOURITE when I went to Thailand and ate it on a street along Chinatown. Is this the same fried chicken that was on the stalls with some kind of spicy papaya mixture/seasoning?
The fried chicken they serve with spicy papaya salad is usually a little different. It has spices in the marinade. This one is particularly made to eat with the rice and soup as in the video 😊
That look so modern and top grad cooking, your chicken make me mouth watering and can be my experiences for cooking and make much more videos experiences from chicke meat. Thank #Marion 😍😍😍
That would be so yummy with your Marions coconut sweet chilli sauce but, I cant find it anywhere 😢 I think it may be discontinued in Australia please make more 🤤😅
Good one Auntie Marion. Looks absolutely amazing, anything from that area of the world brings joy to white people . From India Nepal around to Indonesia it’s all so good. I’ve not looked into Laos Myanmar or Cambodia yet. Just so much varsity. 😋😀👍🇹🇭🇳🇵
I haven’t tested this recipe with gluten free flour. But I do have another gluten free fried chicken you could use instead: www.marionskitchen.com/gluten-free-spicy-fried-chicken/
Thank you so much, I actually prefer the hot and spicy chicken. Thank you so much now my son and daughter-in-law will be able to enjoy it also. Love your cooking and your happy attitude ❤️
Just made this, was soo good! Definitely want to keep making it so I can’t cut down the cooking time! What do you do with the left over broth? There was so much ingredients left compared to fluid
Authentic Thai chicken rice stall usually boil whole chicken to be sold as a chicken rice along with fried chicken rice, so you should strip all meat out of the wings and eat it with leftover rice.
My stomach is growling after watching that video. Since moving to Portugal I’ve had a hard time finding simple Asian ingredients that I took for granted in the US. 😢

If I ever live in Thailand, I won't bother to cook. I would eat out everyday for every meal. Their food are sooooooo good !
If Im not wrong. Some thai people dont have kitchen in their house exactly for this reason.

Well, it exactly what I live nowadays. Kinda feel bad to told anyone I'm Thai but I can't cook lmao.
Eat out at 1-2 dollar dish street food it's cheaper than cooking at home.

I definitely need to go to my asian supermarket. I need to make this. X
Looks fantastic as usual! 🙂
If you can find it, using Gogi Tempura flour is what most Thais use for their batter.
So delicious looking, can't wait to try.
Love this dish
Well done dear ❤ very yummy and delicious Thai chicken 😋

Hey Marion. As usual u got me drooling!!😅 just a quick question: do we season the chicken at all?
Just made this, was soo good! Definitely want to keep making it so I can’t cut down the cooking time!
What do you do with the left over broth? There was so much ingredients left compared to fluid
Two thumbs up.
This looks good. Gonna have to try this
Yummmmm
Thai Hainanese Chicken Rice basically... One of my favorites! You didn't make the fermented bean dipping sauce!!
And fried, Thai Hainanese Chicken Rice would just be Khao Mun Gai
I was anticipating the broth, and what ways it ties in with the rest of the meal.
น่ากินมากค่ะ เหมือนเลย
epic 😍
That food yummy 👍
Any suggestions on what to do with the chicken wings after you make the broth? Aside from having em with the soup 🤤
I eat dip them in hot chilli sauce and eat them 😅

Hi Marion! Love this recipe! I’m so curious as to how you dispose your oil at home? Thanks!
It's like Singaporean chicken but fried. Nice
Wow this is so 🤤👍♥️👌🙏
This looks amazing! Do you by any chance mind sharing where this store is in Bangkok? Many thanks.

My stomach is growling after watching that video. Since moving to Portugal I’ve had a hard time finding simple Asian ingredients that I took for granted in the US. 😢
Thank you for highlighting the importance of the broth!! Living in Sydney, this dish doesn’t often come with broth and it’s just so wrong 😂
How do you say you want the mixed chicken (boiled and fried) rice in Thai?
I need to figure out this rice recipe prepared without a rice cooker. I normally cook rice in a covered saucepan.
Where can i find this spot in bangkok😊
"Sweet chilli sauce for chicken"? I think I need to try and track this down... and hope I can find it!
What do i do with the wings
Not first ! but close :)

I don't think so because the chicken is coated in flour. Unless you don't use the flour, then you can try your version.
I am going to Thailand with my gf for 3 weeks in january. Is it safe to eat street food all over the Thailand? How to tell?
Marion does fish , soy sauce and chinkiang vinegar need to go in the fridge or can they stay out? 😮
me crying watching this because i just got braces LOL
💌
Awesome
Lol, what you did with the chicken wing you cook for the broth? Just eat plain?
I like to dip it in hot chilli sauce and eat them while they’re warm 😀
🤤🤤🤌🏻
So you wouldn’t wash the rice before frying it?
Have you considered soups vide for the chicken before frying ?
👍💙❤️💙❤️💙
