Would have been more interesting with smaller subspecies of the tiger. The Bengal literally wins against any other living cat species, except for the sibirian tiger probably. The giant jaguar 10 000 years ago could win against modern tigers. Pound for pound they have the most muscle i think. And of course its bite force is exceptional.

My main issue with this video is by the end of the video you took away the tiger’s main advantage- that being its size and made them the same size but then you allowed the jaguar to KEEP its main advantage- that being its superior bite force. That seems unfair to me. Taking away the tiger’s advantage but letting the jaguar keep its advantage is obviously giving the jaguar an unfair edge in the fight. Naturally if they ever crossed paths, the tiger is way bigger while the jaguar has a way stronger bite. The size advantage overall should make the tiger stronger. Size DOES matter in this. It's actually very possible that both animals would die from having done battle. Infections resulting from wounds could very easily end up killing the "winner". If their ranges did overlap, they likely would seldom fight each other, much like the Jaguar and Mountain Lion in South America.

Hard to say because Bengal Tigers weigh about 500 pounds ,but when it comes to a Siberian Tiger they are around 700 to 800 pounds.I think there has even been some 900 pound Siberian Tigers .So I guess it depends who the Jaguar is fighting .
Tigers also have something crazy about there growl. Scientist have said that because of the frequency that they growl at does something to it’s prey that literally makes them paralyzed in fear or something along those lines. Very very interesting stuff.

This was a hard one… I will go with tiger but I didn’t realize until recently that Jaguars can weigh up to 300 lbs but more like 215 on average so MAYBE it could have a fighting chance against a female tiger who is at the lower end of the weight scale. It’s just a guess tho.

Tigers have multiple skills, they can hunt at fields, climb the tree, and swim on the waters. Jaguar are master of diving on the water as Leopards are master of climbing the tree. They are all the best big cats in their own habitats.

In 1996, I decided to stop by the Baltimore Zoo, for nostalgic reasons. I walked by the cage of a massive jaguar. I'll never forget those yellow eyes staring back at me. If those bars weren't there, that big sucker would have torn me to shreds. Suffice to say, it scared the hell out of me.

There is a video on the internet, (dont know if it exists anymore) of a Tiger vs Jaguar, and lets just say this, the Jaguar didnt last 10 seconds, tiger instantly used its sheer size and weight and pinned it down and bit into its neck, lights out, Tiger has better combat advantages. The jaguar may have an insane bit force but that is useless when it basically has no chance of getting to use it, as the tiger will bat the jaguar away like tennis ball. It will become a fight of which animal has the balls to go in for the kill, not which animal has the advantage, In which case the tiger is usually going to as its sheer size will intimidate the jaguar. This is my honest opinion I could be wrong I'm not a zoologist. There is another video which isnt to hard to find were a Tiger and Jaguar were caged together in a Chinese zoo and the jaguar got agressive, every time the jaguar jumped up to bite the tiger the tiger would just push the jaguar back down and repeat, the jaguar couldnt get close due to the tigers long forelegs. I think 90 kg is underrated for male Jaguars, at least for those from Pantanal. Guess they weigh around 115 kg on average. Actually, it seems this point is in discussion nowadays. Not sure.

This video says bengal tigers are medium sized when they are the 2nd largest tigers and largest in average. Average weight of tigers in this video is more like average weight of Malayan tiger (2nd smallest). Bengal males average 240kg and tigress average 180kg. If you include sundarban tigers too.
Fun Fact: Bengali people living near sunderban wears mask behind their head when walking in forest so that tigers won't attack them from behind. And yeah, it actually works.
I live in Bengal at the City of Kolkata, nearly 150 KM from Sundarban, and work voluntarily for a NGO working for the conservation and protection of environment and wildlife of Sundarban. For that I have visited Sundarban and its core areas plenty of times. It is said there that the time you saw a tiger which choose to stalk, ambush and hunt you, is the moment you feel its teeth at the back of your neck. And I have seen many people fall to those jaws despite their reversely worn masks at place. These days Government and Forest Department in India make sure that everyone entering the forest with permission wear steel plate armour on their back and chest, and steel helmet with extension covering their back of the neck and shoulder. Yet, only a couple of years back, a forest official simply died because the tiger punctured his neck from the front and thrashed him so hard with a single swipe of its forward paw, that his neck just simply broke. So, it seems that these cunning predators are evolving their skills with the human protection gears as well. Nature always finds a way.
Jaguar is waaay more aggressive and fierce, fearless.... they fight until the light inside their eyes disappear...tiger only would be defending against a formidable enemy... you have to see them in action...is very scary.
I think fights in the wild don't usually take too long. So for me having great stamina won't really have a significant advantage. They will measure each others strength and one will likely back down to survive.

My main issue with this video is by the end of the video you took away the tiger’s main advantage- that being its size and made them the same size but then you allowed the jaguar to KEEP its main advantage- that being its superior bite force. That seems unfair to me. Taking away the tiger’s advantage but letting the jaguar keep its advantage is obviously giving the jaguar an unfair edge in the fight. Naturally if they ever crossed paths, the tiger is way bigger while the jaguar has a way stronger bite. The size advantage overall should make the tiger stronger. Size DOES matter in this.

It's actually very possible that both animals would die from having done battle. Infections resulting from wounds could very easily end up killing the "winner". If their ranges did overlap, they likely would seldom fight each other, much like the Jaguar and Mountain Lion in South America.

There is a video on the internet, (dont know if it exists anymore) of a Tiger vs Jaguar, and lets just say this, the Jaguar didnt last 10 seconds, tiger instantly used its sheer size and weight and pinned it down and bit into its neck, lights out, Tiger has better combat advantages. The jaguar may have an insane bit force but that is useless when it basically has no chance of getting to use it, as the tiger will bat the jaguar away like tennis ball. It will become a fight of which animal has the balls to go in for the kill, not which animal has the advantage, In which case the tiger is usually going to as its sheer size will intimidate the jaguar. This video says bengal tigers are medium sized when they are the 2nd largest tigers and largest in average.
Average weight of tigers in this video is more like average weight of Malayan tiger (2nd smallest).
Bengal males average 240kg and tigress average 180kg. If you include sundarban tigers too.

Fun Fact: Bengali people living near sunderban wears mask behind their head when walking in forest so that tigers won't attack them from behind. And yeah, it actually works.
I live in Bengal at the City of Kolkata, nearly 150 KM from Sundarban, and work voluntarily for a NGO working for the conservation and protection of environment and wildlife of Sundarban. For that I have visited Sundarban and its core areas plenty of times. It is said there that the time you saw a tiger which choose to stalk, ambush and hunt you, is the moment you feel its teeth at the back of your neck. And I have seen many people fall to those jaws despite their reversely worn masks at place. These days Government and Forest Department in India make sure that everyone entering the forest with permission wear steel plate armour on their back and chest, and steel helmet with extension covering their back of the neck and shoulder. Yet, only a couple of years back, a forest official simply died because the tiger punctured his neck from the front and thrashed him so hard with a single swipe of its forward paw, that his neck just simply broke. So, it seems that these cunning predators are evolving their skills with the human protection gears as well. Nature always finds a way.

No matter who wins this deadly battle, both are really beautiful animals and true sigma's of the big cat family
Jaguar is waaay more aggressive and fierce, fearless.... they fight until the light inside their eyes disappear...tiger only would be defending against a formidable enemy... you have to see them in action...is very scary.
I think fights in the wild don't usually take too long. So for me having great stamina won't really have a significant advantage. They will measure each others strength and one will likely back down to survive.

Bengal and Siberian Tiger would win but you could compare the Jaguar with a South China or Sumatran Tiger as they are roughly the same size both topping out at at about 300-350 lbs max
