So beautiful I dont have words how to describe this great music, drags me from dark depression, pain and evil in society to light and goodness simple natural life. The Village was indeed one of the greatest movie in history, the music score by JNH is as great as movie was. One of the best.
This is by far my favorite movie since i was a teenager. The soundtrack is remarkable, it makes me dream awake and feel many things, profound things. I thank the creators of the movie and the composer. This movie helped me understand why life is very complex and still today in 2019 it has so much truth. Thank you.

This beautiful song makes me cry everytime I listen to it...I don’t know if it is from sadness or joy however (no doubt beauty everytime though)...perhaps it is because I am still hoping to find the love the two main characters share...

A beautiful, sad, moving and uplifting film. Shy's best in my opinion---even better than "The Sixth Sense". A narrative on love and also on the pain often endured in this life, sometimes unbearable and often inescapable. One of the better soundtracks from JNH. A terribly under rated film. Bryce Dallas Howard's best performance----absolutely flawless! Hilary Hahn's violin brings this music to life and touches the soul. Movie and soundtrack combine for a timeless masterpiece.

People were acting 'gotcha' cuz they saw the ending coming probably primed by 6th sense success. But that wasn't the point of the film... lol.
Truly one of the best and most amazing movie scores of all time, imo. This is just beautiful.

@@dodgeball693 the Jin-Rioh soundtrack, most things my Joe Hisaishi (I'm actually a very big fan of the kaguya soundtrack even if it's not the one people think about the most). Memoirs of Geisha from John Williams also is a great one. Mishima from Philipp Glass, Le roi et L,oiseau (the king & the mockingbird in english) from Wojciech Kilar, Arietty from Cécile Corbel, Prisonners and Mandy from Jóhann Jóhannsson, Ghost in the Shell from Kenji Kawai, The Name of the Rose from Howard Shore.
You could also check out some video game scores like Samorost 2,3 and Machinarium from Floex, Journey from Austin Wintory, Shadow of Colossus from Kow Otani, Anything by Disasterpeace, Celese by Lena Raine....

Masterpiece by James Newton
This was one a few films where the soundtrack worked to keep me totally focused and enthralled with the story. The Oscars Board was right to recognize this score and the violinist Hilary Hahn.

I really love this song.
I saw this in theaters when I was about 14, I loved it. People trying to escape a cruel outer world and make their own. This is my favorite track from the soundtrack. I used to have fantasies of living in a place like that where there's peace and people you can trust. A simple but happy and peaceful life.

Here after I heard this in a very heart breaking video called "The Tragedy of Mankind" by JACOB BRONOWSKI. I recommend it. Very haunting.
People can put down M night for his movies...he hit a few great ones..like this I like his directing.
I have watched The Village so many times and although I have not seen any other M Night Shyamalan’s movies other than Lady in the Water it to me is his best movie

Same. Honestly, songs like these give me a bit of anxiety because it makes me think of what I once had and how I've lost those good things. Only good thing in my life right now is my daughter.
UA-cam has ruined these various sound track videos by inserting all of their high volume adds into the mix. What a shame! Time to buy the CD.
