Two years ago, my teacher Deaf, I sign barely one year, my receptive not-yet developed, then for this spring we were to have a new Deaf teacher, so I used the winter break, studied the few videos that teacher made on youtube, to pick-up my receptive of them, it helped a-lot, learned a few signs, increased my receptive speed, understand better. ASL students should do exactly that, especially if their upcoming teacher is Deaf, absorb all those details before class starts, to be ready, it helps~ Knowing this, ASL teachers should post some deliberate practice videos for this very purpose, it makes a difference~

Excellent information - thank you! Much appreciated. Just a tiny feedback, make sure the interpreter's background is clear of any object behind her - the grey object behind her was very distracting. Again much appreciated and sharing this with my ASL interpreting students!

Excited to view this. Tiny feedback # 2 the interpreter's earrings are distracting due to the swinging and refletctions and the nail color causes eye fatique.
