The ICE cars are numbered EMD5151-EMD5158, EMM6151-EMM6158 and EMT7151--EMT7154. Generally a set is made up of a low numbered ICE and a high numbered ICE as they are normally run with cars of the same last number, example: A five car train made up of 152 and 155. Cars EMD5152, EMM6152 and EMT7152 make up 152, which is connected to EMM6155 and EMD5155 of 155. EM is for electric multiple (unit) D is for driver, M for motor and T for trailer.
Older SMUs, IMUs and all EMUs do not. The newer SMU 260s have it, along with IMU 160s. But really, why is it a problem when you have celluar data? SMU 220s are still my favourite.

phil take note the ICE number change & only 4 cars 1 of only 2 ICE left in network and used exclusivlly on Sunshine Coast line.
