Imagine hearing this in Metroid: Dread - Edit: Sad this theme never came back. Kraid fell from Grace in Dread. Going from this tyrant behemoth who had equal footing with Ridley in terms of leadership of the Space Pirates, to becoming a chained up experiment with no army and in complete solitary confinement. This theme should’ve played during the rooms before you battle Kraid, but instead of sounding awesome like this theme, it should’ve sounded more vague, and depressing. :/
Since whoever the emmi’s are being controlled by seem to want samus’s Metroid dna it wouldn’t be too far fetched for the space pirates to return and a 2021 remix of kraid’s lair would be the best

Funny how our brains do that. I've not played Metroid Prime for more than a few hours but the other day the main theme popped into my head and I had to crawl through tons of OSTs trying to find it haha

The sound chip was nice, the consoles processing power wasnt It was a pain and that was why it was hard to use, you needed extra light samples to use it
There is something about Zero Mission that I really like. I can't exactly put it in words, just think of it as equivalent to Fusion's incredible atmosphere, the explorability of Super Metroid, this is literally the example of a remake done absolutely right. It took Metroid 1 and made it 10 times better.
That'd be cool. But I hope it's not all remixes. SR on 3DS was just all remixes iirc and they were great. But it was kinda unfortunate that we got nothing new.

It’s stupid that paths that are MANDATORY to progress or even get the Ice Beam are hidden in floors and walls that are indistinguishable. In Zero Mission, you’re way faster and can angle your shots around, so that isn’t as much of an issue. And the enemies are just dreadful. They just keep swarming you and never give you a chance to breathe. That’s probably the point, but when your character is too slow and fragile to properly fight back, it’s not fun!

Thankfully I randomly stumbled upon a gba emulator for my phone and one of the games I downloaded and that got me through these lonely times was Metroid zero missions. Hearing this brings back all those happy memories

You realize that AM2R was built from the ground up. Original or remastered music. New sprites for Samus. Original sprites for Alpha to Queen Metroids. A scan system that allows you to have more lore than Other M. AND SO MUCH MORE.
Hopefully we get Meta Kraid in Prime 4...or any Kraid for that matter. He last appeared in Zero Mission and we haven't seen him in 16 years. Kraid has been overshadowed by Ridley in terms of favourite bosses and not many people remember how creepy and difficult he was back in the original and especially Super Metroid.
my first metroid game was super metroid for the snes. The music in that game was astounding and i loved it so much, especially the maridia music and lower norfair where ridley is. but good god, i played the nes metroid and man there was something about kraid's lair i couldnt just resist, the atmospheric music. i loved it, but then... zero mission. i got to kraid lair and omg this version is most definitely my favorite metroid song of all time!
