Same scenario on the 48Kw generators i service & repair, I tell the new kids they have to prime it properly to get all air out of lines or RPM loss will accrue once load is applied ( especially in cold climates)
I get same statement from them each time, “it takes to long & the primer is hard to set back in position “🤷🏼
Was a Thermo King mechanic some time ago. I had a fuel cap with a adjustable regulator on it and air hose fitting. Would keep the pressure at 20 psi and crack open the fuel lines at the pump. Made it a lot easier to start 😎

Back in my yard dog days at FedEx in the middle of August when it's 105 and 90% humidity all of us switchers would drive around back and turn on the Thermo King and turn that b**** down to like zero and hang out and it when we had a break
useful tool is this knowledge for every single truck driver even if just hauling logs if ya get asked to haul a reefer ya gotta know
that little screw with the phillips head is the proper bleed screw but your method works fine but the proper screw probarbly has and o ring
I've never put any thought into the fact that a refrigerated trailer needs a generator. Guess I just thought the refrigeration was powered by the truck, but it makes sense that a gigantic fridge is gonna need a substantial amount of power.
The unit he showed is not a generator. It is a diesel motor direct coupled to a mechanical refrigeration compressor. back in the 70's Trane did build transport refrigeration that had a belly mount diesel gen set that powered a electrical compressor.

I applied to be a truck driver, they asked if I could haul reefer I bolted out the hiring office scared they knew about the sack of green in my car
So , these people are that dumb they dont check fuel before calling you ??? Its just amazing ...I used to help a neighbor when she had car issues until she started her car to warm it up and let it run a half hour while she was playing video games inside until it was out of gas

I was a diesel mechanic in the army. I’ve always thought about doing mobile mechanic work. How did you get your start in it?

Yes i charged a higher fee to come out. I charged $350 instead of $250. $250 for a diesel Refueler $350 for a diesel Refueler and mechanic
@@semperfimechanic Good deal there's a lot of people including me would not know how to prime a diesel my brother he was in the Marine Corps as a diesel mechanic back in a Vietnam war, that's when glow plugs was still a thing and all that good stuff 😆.
