I got this on Ps3 not realizing it didn't have the campaign or split screen. After reading the description more careful I realized it said it was multiplayer and zombies only.
Honestly, the graphics were awful... but it was how I used to play Black Ops 3 on the PS3 before I had a powerful enough PC to run the "next-gen" version and gameplay wise it was not so bad. If I didn't played this version, I would have never really bothered about BO3 and I can't feel any other feelings than nostalgia for this one
Remember when this game came out, I bought it on Xbox 360. It felt like an entire different game. The split screen, completely broken. The MVP screen isn't animated on 360, it was an obvious last minute cash grab. It felt like it was made on Xbox one, and back ported to 360 😭
I was one of the first people in the world to complete this game when they released the one and only dlc pack. I bought it the minute it came out and was part of the second group to complete the EE. Was 7th overall in the world to complete all the achievements according to trueachievements
the reason why it released much like the newer games at the time (so like gta 5, cod aw, cod ghosts, bo3 in this case, etc) was more of a last ditch effort for the 360 fanbase (which stayed either because of the fact that the xbox one was online only or just didnt have money at the time) before switching for the xbox one which was way more powerful. it also suffered through terrible development as it wasnt treyarch wasnt making the ports, it was originally meant to be ported by mercenary but then went to Beenox instead. there is a fully functional build with a completable campaign but it suffered from broken lighting and framerate issues so thats why theres no campaign in this port sadly. still though, bo3 on the 360 was quite fun specially with mod menus.
I'm going to look back at it and realize it's an old gem now I mean like seriously it's going to be a big joke to the newer gen like it is now but it was a classic technically just a half of what we got for real

Ghost and AW made sense. Those were right during the transition period. BO3 was a little different. They either shouldn’t of offered it at all on last gen, or properly ported it
This game reminds me a lot of the final CoD on PS2. Call of Duty World at War Final Fronts, where that game had a campaign but no multiplayer or zombies. Also had worse graphics compared to a lot of other games on that console... Time is a flat circle.
The reason it looks so bad too is because with the older games a lot of the lighting was baked into the materials of the objects but on Xbox One it was the game engine doing it in real time
What I don’t understand is how this game never had a campaign, foreshadowing Black Ops 4 not having a campaign perhaps. Also I wonder if the 360 Slim could run it better

It was I think 25$ when I got it, but the only reason that this game can even run is because devs have the source code and consoles tend to have more optimization in mind than when it comes out for PC I mean shit, the Xbox one can barely run MW, you can literally see it stutter half the time
Well Metal Gear Solid V phantom pain was released in 2015 and 360 version exist I played it and yes it has worse graphics then pc or next gen but its totally playable

Kinda long personal story below (if you don't want to read all this bullshit of mine I won't blame you lol). I was one of the few unfortunate people that first played BO3 on PS3 because I was so broke financially (still kinda am to this day ಥ‿ಥ ) so I couldn't afford a PS4 at the time and I happened to get my first PS4 (Pro) just last year. Yeah that how late I am to the "party". Yes the game was ultra bugged, the connection of the servers was super inconsistent if your internet connection wasn't good and stable, the graphics and frame rate were burning some eyes for sure and the animations were kinda glitchy but for all it's worth the game actually played quite decent for old gen consoles and introduced us broke players to BO3's world of Multiplayer and Zombies and made us learn the new advanced movement and the new Zombies system with all the new lvl and weapon rank ups so that when we come to new gen (PS4/XBOX One at the time) we would be already familiar with the game's core. Personally am actually greatful that I had the opportunity to be able to have and play BO3 on PS3 despite all it's flaws that I have mentioned and then some more that I didn't but then again no game is perfect.
Well the Xbox 360 version was running on a new engine that Xbox 360 didn't support so it looked like a potato and trayarch didn't finish the game so let it die instead of completing it
The Xbox 360 has honestly really good graphics. But a good amount of Xbox one games that were not properly optimized for Xbox 360 just made it look terrible. There’s some games on Xbox 360 that look so good even better than series x games. Hot take: I think game consoles peaked on xbox 360 and ps3. It really pushed the limits for game developers to get more creative to create game art.
It existed because during the time people like me did not have the money to go ahead and pay for an upgraded console so we wanted to play Black Ops 3 and just get a taste of what it was "small taste" Came to find out that it was complete garbage because it didn't even get finished and the graphics made me laugh it felt like a backwards compatible title for a backwards compatible title it was just irrationally made but I had a little bit of fun until it started getting worse

It's such an entertaining version of the game to play the PS3/360 one. It genuinely is one of the ugliest AAA games to ever release. It just looks unfinished and broken, like things are missing and not loaded properly or something. Topping it off like you said, the animations are just completely broken and awful. It's still enjoyable to play, but it's just a dogshit 0/10 version of the game that only should be bought and played to laugh at.
I remember back when I was 15 year's old when this game released i saved up money to buy this version of the game since I never had the money to just buy a New Xbox it was actually pretty cheap new then i know why but I laughed a lot trying to play this game because it's so bad i never bought a game again without watching game play and looking at reviews ever since it actually put me off gaming for like 7 months i think i played the game for a week straight and I couldn't take it anymore i actually never played a call of duty game for years after that for some reason the Xbox 360 version of the game didn't just mess up my childhood but it Also put me off gaming until I got a new Xbox one lol
The reason why it doesn’t run as well is well and the reason why they put it to the consul is because they wanted you to switch the money to buy it again that’s when they brought that thing because they knew that they’re not gonna like it on the Xbox fixactually made a lot newer consoles to be sold garbage that is the same the Xbox 360. I have a Xbox 360. It still felt smoother and had different texture.

I just boosted this game to get all the multiplayer achievements and cause unlock tokens are broken, you need to get to prestige 10 to do it
