This is the best video I’ve seen showing a simple winch system for a wooden pole. Thank you so much. I’m making one for my parents based on your design.
I am glad I could help there is information out there...but it seems scattered and it took a bit to figure this all out. I hope your parents like the birdhouse.
You just saved me a lot of time, I was going to use a 4x4 post, not anymore though. Just wondering what you charge customer's for your stand and wench system.
Great video and the first one I've seen for using a winch on a wooden pole. This will come in handy for my daughters bird house that is 20' in the air. I have to rebuild the bird house that has a total of 5 levels and was very hard to bring down on a pivoted wood pole. When I disassembled her bird house, the floors were made from glues 1" x 6" boards and Luan. Over time the Luan ply's separated from each other. What did you use for your base?
