I always imagined there being an Easter egg at the end of CnC 1 where you capture the Temple of Nod, and the ending cutscene just has everything go from dark, black and red (and exploding/on fire) to bright, clean and well-lit, and Kane is suddenly in a GDI uniform looking very sheepish.
I would do the same but with superweapon so you can capture enemy superweapon also makes it portable unpack into a movable transport and run away with a new captured superweapon lol

There should be whole different mechanic - infantry can enter the building to clean it off, then it becomes neutral and only then engineer can enter to capture it. Automated and energy intense buildings should instead be dependable on the energy grid - like pylons in starcraft, but here capturing the nearest powerplant would neutralize those buildings making them capturable with engs.
An engineer capturing a pillbox is like an engineer capturing a garrisoned building How??? The Tesla and Prism towers make a lot of sense though Personally I think it'd be really cool if what your engineers can capture depends on the tier of tech you're on.

Yes you are right, I was attacking enemies base and when I returned to my base I didn't find my coneyard and some other building because of engineer rushing and if my team didn't defend my base maybe nothing left from my base lol.

Totally not worth the price in that regard. Same with the more costly prismtower. The teslacoil on the other hand ...
