Nope, you aren't the only one who did it! 😀 I also thought that I was the only one who sends Kirovs to defend the base. It was many years ago when I first time completed this game before youtube existence. What exactly the beacon do you mean?
You know you can just take your Kirovs and go on the far left of the map till you reach the top left corner, then just turn right and destroy the nuclear reactor and then the Kremlin :)
Man the soviets got a weak air power due to they only have kirovs while the allies got more air units and the soviets tend to kill each other all the time and cannot tell who is friend or foe.

@@hdw I messed up and called the sensor the beacon. I think Yuri Revenge it gets named beacon? Idr been years since I played.
This was the hardest mission as a kid. Kept getting owned until I did the Kirov firewall thing, then it was chill except the sound was annoying.
I just starte playing RA2 again, and I couldn't beat it on easy omg... the kirov firewall seems so obvious now jaja
