I saw your video when you cut apart a stock muffler. From it I figured all I need do is to drill 4 5/16" holes in my mufflers end cap, just below the existing exhaust opening. I took off both seats and used tape to make a new seat cover. This lowered my body into the bike and also provided much needed room for me to slide back. The air cleaner was more exposed. Results after my first long full throttle run at 1260miles was a top speed of 94mph on long downward sloping straight's. No other mods.

the second o2 sensor is for the Bazzaz fuel controller. it is what helps it make its own maps. thanks

I'm 6ft and 200lbs. The bike handles a lot better now that I'm sitting lower into the bike. I was ready to sell the bike because it always dropped into the turns to much. Now this no longer happens as I sit lower and further back after rempving both seats. She's a keeper.
Anyway I'm interested in the Bazzaz units. That and a rear sprocket change of +2 teeth shold get me better acceleration. I don't need more top speed. Please respond. I trust you and would like to hear more about the Bazzaz.

it does not matter, if your tacking about heat. the down pipe is only 20" long and the reading are the same no matter were you put it. plus the wire harness is only so long. you dont have to keep it in all the time. I can tune my bike and then take it out and plug the hole. the sensor is only for tuning. thank you

I think you mods sound great! I am 6' 6" 225lbs, I have the fuel controller w/ auto tune, K&N air filer, and the exhaust I made. On a flat blacktop road, about 98 degrees with about 3-5 mph head wind my top speed was 92 mph. If there is one thing i would buy it is that fuel controller, but you have to get the auto tuner, it is a life saver, honda bikes normally allways run lean, it add the fuel it needs. If you get the controller get a K&N air filter also, it is cheap and really helps it breath.

Right now I am very satisfied with my CBR250R. I measured how much I am sitting lower and it's 2-1/2". The handling is so much better. It's a different bike. Also the gorilla tape seat is more like a concave hammock across the top frame rails rather than a convex rounded top stock seat. This means not only is it more comfortable, but I do not slide around while riding aggressively. I have much better control over where my bike goes in the curves. I don't think that I need more speed, for now.

You put the o2 sensor way to close to the manifold, it should be on your mid pipe directly before the can.

I think I was able to reach a solid 94mph because of 2-1/2" lowering of my body into the bike and sitting more under the front wind screen. I was also sitting back further and this allowed me to sit even lower behind the fairing. Less wind resistance is my point as to how I reached 94mph on a stock bike with 4 small holes in the muffler end cap. I'm a back road apex strafe(r) and top end is never used on such narrow winding roads-it's all about the handling and keeping your average speed up.

It all depends on how much acceleration you want. Two teeth are not that much in my book. It depends what you want is. you might try 3-4 on back. or drop 1 on the front. if you get to much off of normal you will be shifting quicker. If it were me and top end was not my thing, I would go 1 down in front, OR 3-4 up in the back.

Do you really need to drill that hole for the O2 sensor? I think there's already a O2 sensor near the cylinder head just near the exhaust bolt.

Self mapping let adjust for your bike in your climate and time of season. It is not really tuned truly, so that's way you need it.

What is the advantage of using the self mapper as opposed to just downloading or using a computer to make mappings?

It is truly custom to the bike.

So was the Bazzaz mod worth it, in terms of more power, acceleration, etc.?
