Dolly is always a win! Edit: This movie has such a good message, chosen family can be greater than blood. At least that’s what I’m personally taking from it. Everyone has their take but this being three weeks post Avengers Infinity War, adding in time travel FOR Deadpool at the end gives him the ability to come back whenever he wants.
I've seen a few comments about how the "Take On Me" cover was a weird choice for Wade and Vanessa's afterlife. But it's actually perfect. It's a throwback song, that's kinda ridiculous and hard to take seriously, delivered in an earnest, heartfelt way.
"I don't think anyone else could be Deadpool other than Ryan Renolds." The best quote I've ever heard in the 52 years of my life. I most certainly agree.
One thing I always thought was cool about Cable when I was introduced to him in the comics back in the 90s was that his robotic-looking parts are actually a techno-organic virus and he had to always use some of his telekinetic powers to keep it from spreading throughout his body. It's a shame they didn't really touch on that in this movie. The closest we got was when he was looking at it in the mirror in that one scene.
The only mention of it was in the extended version of the movie when Cable was questioning Weasel and talking about pain. It would have been cool to show it more, but they probably thought the movie was already pretty packed with informations.
Fun reaction, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the sequel to the first Deadpool because I did when I saw it in theaters with my dad. Deadpool still knows his stuff, even when he was split in half by the Juggernaut. I even liked how the choir was cursing during the final fight. However, Vanessa's death was heartbreaking but luckily, she's saved at the end, during a mid-credit scene. BTW, nice Ollie intro and creative censorship at 26:57. I also loved how you enjoyed hearing 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton during the opening kill montage.

One cameo(s) you might have missed is right after Cable travels back to current day, the two rednecks standing behind a pickup, that he approaches, asks what year then shots them. That was Alan Tudyk and Matt Damon. I admit, I missed it when I first saw it in the theater.

Just in case you missed it, there’s a “faux competition/feud” between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Sort of like Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon. Which is why it’s so funny that both will be in DP3, and adds comedy to the opening with the Dead Logan music box.
37:10 in case you didn't know, this setting, and especially this scene in particular, is a direct homage to the original 80s video for the song being played, A-Ha's 'Take On Me'. Just in case you wanted to check it out.
Something kind of cool is after the standard cut. They made a super Duper cut which not only added scenes, but also used alternate jokes and takes because there was so much improv. Then they released once upon a Deadpool, which was a PG-13 rating so it was censored, and Deadpool has the Ted Savage tied up and in his childhood bedroom from the princess bride and he is telling him the story and then he sensors out the parts that’s needed and we get to see between them, which is great
Deadpool's crack about what comic book person came up with Domino and her powers always makes me laugh, because it's the same person that came up with HIM. And I still very much want to see Vanessa with HER comic powers.
Apparently Domino is lucky because she syphens that luck from those around her. This is why when she survives the jump out of the plane, basically everyone else who can die, does die.
Wait…I just realized something. Deadpool 3 is officially in the MCU. There was a comic storyline in which Deadpool figured out that a bunch of heroes have tragic origins, time travelled to prevent those tragedies (with good intentions), and prevented several heroes from ever existing to begin with. For example, he saved Dr. Strange from his car crash. What if his time shenanigans here actually somehow warps the MCU timeline?
Addie, if you haven't found it yet. Check out the Deadpool 2 teaser/ trailer where he jumps into a phone booth to change clothes while a guy is getting mugged. Very entertaining.
My favourite thing about this movie is how they showed Domino's luck power. Well, that and when the whole rest of X-Force gets killed off in the paradrop... Which is itself a side effect of Domino's luck power!
Juggernaut is one of my dad's favorite villains. When he appeared in "X-Men: The Last Stand," I had to hear an entire rant afterward about how wrong they got Juggernaut and how disappointed and angry he was. It wasn't until we saw "Deadpool 2" that I understood for real what he meant. He said this Juggernaut was much closer to the comics, and he was certainly cooler and more menacing in my opinion. Also, when you commented about the music from Annie in that scene, it reminded me of a movie I once watched called "So Close." I can't remember if it was a Japanese or Korean movie, but they had this long gun battle scene, mostly in slow motion, that was set to the song that goes "Why do birds suddenly appear..." It cracked me up when I saw it, and I always think of that movie when I see this movie and that scene.
Juggernaut has always been my favorite too. I was so happy that they finally got him right in a movie. I was right there with your dad ranting about what they did to him in The Last Stand. I really hope they bring him back in future movies
Funny thing: My favourite appearance of Juggernaut in the comics was actually a rather harmless one. Colossus, Nightcrawler and Wolverine were hanging out in a bar where Juggernaut also was at the time incognito. Through an accident a brawl started between Colossus and Juggernaut. Wolverine, noticing that Juggernaut wasn't actually out for blood and Colossus needed to blow off some steam decided not to get involved. In the end Colossus lost, the bar was a pile of rubble but Jugs wasn't mad and had a good time and even paid for the damage caused. A great classic! I miss those days so much!
The thing with Domino's powers is that it isn't that she's lucky, she also makes everyone around her unlucky. She can't control who loses their luck, but in order for her to be lucky she has to take the luck from everyone around her.
I have the X-Men comic where Colossus and Juggernaut fight in a bar. Wolverine is there but doesn't step in, he's mad at Colossus for breaking up with Kitty for the girl on the Secret Wars planet 😁
Cable is the son of cyclops and Jean greys clone from an alternate timeline, he’s pretty much Deadpool’s best friend in the present, he’s an omega level telekinetic mutant on par with him mom and people like professor x except he has a techno organic virus that’s trying to turn him into a machine (hence the metal arm) and he uses his telekinesis to keep the virus from infecting his entire body, while it is trying to kill him the virus also did pretty much give him even more abilities, the movie didn’t do the greatest job of explaining this but when the gun flew out of Deadpool’s hand to cable, that wasn’t a magnet or the gun being registered to him or anything, it was cable using his telekinesis
Things that made me lose it during this film: "ZIP IT THANOS" had me in stitches in the theater XD Literally any scene with Domino. I L O V E Zazie Beets. Also the end. I despise goodbyes. I keep telling my partner that if he goes before me, "I swear to god I will find you in the next life, and blast Careless Whisper outside your window" The awesome fact is, that even with this movie, they can directly continue off of it. They can do a whole "Hey you caused like... a bajillion incursions. fix this shit." And I swear to god, if Spiderman isn't in DP3... Imma go berserk.
When Wade opened the hole in the floor with the cocain and the cure for blindness, that was a reference to the first movie where he tells the roomate about that stash as a throw away line that you think he is lying about... but nope, he actually has a coke stash a gun and the cure for blindness hidden the the house lol Also when DP was swirling the swords around him to deflect the bullets but gets shot up, its a reference to where he played Deadpool/Wade in one of the X-Men movies and did that same maneuver but DID block all the bullets lol
Since Deadpool 3 is bringing Deadpool into the MCU, rumor is the end credits scene of Wade going back in time and messing with the timeline is going to play a major role in the plot of Deadpool 3 and the TVA from Loki will be trying to hunt him down. Again, that's a rumor, but it would honestly make logical sense considering how time travel and branching realities have played such a major role in the recent MCU movies and shows.
There's an alternate cut of the movie called the super duper extended cut that puts back in deleted scenes and replaces a lot of jokes in the movie with new jokes from alternate takes. It includes an extra end credit scene that starts really dark.
Wanda: non-consensually takes over the minds of a whole town "they won't know what you gave up by, you know, turning the people loose that you held in your mental basement an giving up ur imaginnaarry frens lol but ur gud nao" Cable: stays and doesn't see his wife and little girl again. "So anyway"
Luck is probably the best superpower, because in every superhero story ever, luck plays a massive role in success...it's just a necessary part of creating "plot armor". So instead of ignoring it or pretending it's not there, pointing it out and making it cannon actually makes the stories more believable. Also, it works for a character that's adjacent to Deadpool, because it's really tongue-in-cheek. Because Deadpool is very aware that he's a fictional character in a story, so his stories get really meta about pointing out story telling devices and superhero tropes.

Hey, Addie! I loved "Deadpool 2"! The rated 'R' violence bordered on splat-stick yet it maintained its delicate balance of action, humor and heart! It also fulfilled the promise made at the end of the first movie by bringing Cable and time-travel into the mix! Cable is a hugely popular X-Men character with a tangled history. He is Nathan Summers, son of Cyclops (Scott Summers) and Madelyn Pryor (Jean Grey's clone) who is infected with a techno-organic virus in infancy. He is taken into a future timeline for treatment and is left there where he grows into a powerful warrior and enemy of Apocalypse. He returns to the present to battle his clone nemesis, Stryfe, and forms X-Force. The team Deadpool assembles is so ridiculous and is one of the movie's highlights introducing the alien Shatterstar and the lucky Domino as well as Brad Pitt in a surprise cameo and, of course, Pete "Sugar Bear"! I thought it was clever how they interpreted Domino as a black girl with vitiligo around one eye rather than a white girl with a black birthmark around one eye! Lol. Deadpool's films occur after "Dark Phoenix" in the young X-cast timeline. His reference of Logan dying is the character being self-referential about the franchise as a whole. He is not referring to something that occurred in his timeline's past. The young cast cameo indicates they share the same timeline as Deadpool. The film should be seen last in the sequence to not spoil "Logan" and to serve as a gleeful celebration of the whole franchise! I loved the young X-cast cameo hiding in the mansion and the 'cleaning-up the timeline' end-credit scene had the audience in the grip of hysterics! @@mbpobletand when that clone died Jean raised Cable with Scott as a son for a few months until Cable was sent to the future, about a year later a strange old woman would psychically take their minds and out them into bodies of 2 people in the future so they could raise him there for 12 years. Then they are forced to return to the present when the strange old woman died but not before it is revealed that she was an older alternate future version of his sister….yup X-Men comics were weird in the 90’s
Don't Juggernaut's powers come from an entity which is a Demon but also like a primordial being or something like that?.. and that's why he can regenerate, change his physical appearance and appear as big as he wishes or needs, but he can't control it, only the entity.
@@FreddieHg37 yes Cyttorak, however his avatar can only access his power via the Crimson gem of Cyttorak. Fun fact he can also lend his powers to sorcerers, such as in Infinity War where Strange used the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak on Thanos
@@FreddieHg37 Yeah, he's not a mutant, he gets his powers from the Crimson Gem of Cytthorak.

- Inscription on the Gem, apparently.
So... you know where he's fixing X-Men Origins, where he meets Wolverine? There is a version of that scene, which isn't in any of the digital releases anymore, where he says, "Look, eventually, you're going to hang up the claws, and it is going to make a lot of people very sad. But one day, your old friend, Wade, is going to ask you to get back in the saddle again. When he does, say yes." And... we all remembered that when they started giving teasers for Deadpool 3, and let us know that Hugh Jackman would be playing Wolverine in it again. What's even better? In some of the set pictures, he's in a comic book accurate yellow and blue outfit. Glorious.
An appearance from Ollie has got to be the best way to start our week!!
We get two previous Josh Brolin movies mentioned here. "One eyed Willie" and of course Thanos
Only 14 short months away until Deadpool III !!!

Hearing Dolly just reminds me how funny the movie 'Nine to Five' is and how great she is in it.
Yup, the real meaning of the full saying "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb"
25:35 - Just realized Deadshot is making a sly reference Goonies - Josh Brolin's first major acting role.
Deadpool. Deadshot is a DC Comics character.
I've seen a few comments about how the "Take On Me" cover was a weird choice for Wade and Vanessa's afterlife. But it's actually perfect. It's a throwback song, that's kinda ridiculous and hard to take seriously, delivered in an earnest, heartfelt way.
Also, with the invisible wall between them it was a little reminiscent of some scenes in the music video.
And throwback version being equal to or even better than the original release!
"I don't think anyone else could be Deadpool other than Ryan Renolds." The best quote I've ever heard in the 52 years of my life. I most certainly agree.
Just when I need something to watch, Addie to the rescue!
I’ve been waiting for this reaction and it didn’t disappoint. You was awesome in this as always addie
What’s funny is that lots went to watch Deadpool 2 after Infinity War.
...and one of the guys who killed the dog in John Wick is the film's director David Leitch. I also suggest his movies Atomic Blonde (2017), Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019, in between films 8 & 9) and Bullet Train (2022). #MoreDavidLeitchForAddieCounts
Your doggo looking out the window, at that time, had me rolling ❤😂❤😂
Round the 4 min mark for the thread
"His name isn't 'Elbowfist'." 🤣. Oh, that's pure gold.
One cameo(s) you might have missed is right after Cable travels back to current day, the two rednecks standing behind a pickup, that he approaches, asks what year then shots them. That was Alan Tudyk and Matt Damon. I admit, I missed it when I first saw it in the theater.
Fun bit of trivia: Brad Pitt appeared basically for free in this move ($956 and a cup of coffee.)
Where’d you get the $956 from? I think the cup of coffee part is the most known part of his paycheck for this movie.
@@Andrew.Grabowski SAG scale pay. Union rules required Pitt be paid at least a minimum amount according to the SAG-AFTRA wage table.
For those that don't know, the coffee was the big thing because Pitt required RR to get it from Starbucks himself.
I can never get over the fact that Deadpool's girlfriend is Inara. Maybe she's actually Inara's ancient ancestor from before when humans had to leave Earth that was.
I love everything about the deadpool movies, and I literally use the "I don't bargin, pumpkin-f****r" at least 2-3 times a month.
The dude that has the acidic spit is actually the guy that played "IT" in the remake. Freaking cool to see him on here!❤😊
We need to see more of Ollie.
I almost cracked a rib laughing at your "Elbow-Fist" comment. Fire-Elbow would've been the right swap, but yours is definitely better 😂😂🤣
So cute that she didn't get the dirty joke
Love Cable fighting Deadpool hand to hand! True "unstoppable force meets immovable wall" lol
The Deadpool baby-legs no pants scene was a reference to "Basic Instinct" (1992)
Shout out to Rob Liefeld. He learned to draw feet...just put everyone in weird boots.
Another great performance from the actor who plays Russell is The Hunt for The Wilderpeople. It's a Taika Waititi movie, it's super heartwarming
Addie, it was fun watching you have fun watching this movie. 😁
Lololol I forgot he calls NTW 'Eleven' in the end credits, that's hilarious! Stranger Things reference! 🤣🤣
Then they released once upon a Deadpool, which was a PG-13 rating so it was censored, and Deadpool has the Ted Savage tied up and in his childhood bedroom from the princess bride and he is telling him the story and then he sensors out the parts that’s needed and we get to see between them, which is great
Notice that the guy running for the panic room is in slow motion, but EVERYONE else in the scene isn’t. 😂
also 8:19 "the cure for blindness" just like he said in the first movie, next to his cocaine
Deadpool's crack about what comic book person came up with Domino and her powers always makes me laugh, because it's the same person that came up with HIM.
And I still very much want to see Vanessa with HER comic powers.
These are so rewatchable. Great reaction!
You should watch the unrated version too. Different jokes and longer scenes
The juggernaut is actually related in the comics to Professor Xavier, their brothers on their father side
the 2 guys at the pickup when Cable arrives are Alan Tudyk and Matt Damon
A curiosity of Cable. He's son of Jean Gray and Scott Summers (Cyclops).
Apparently Domino is lucky because she syphens that luck from those around her. This is why when she survives the jump out of the plane, basically everyone else who can die, does die.
FYI the pink haired girl is the same character from The Wolverine. Logan's bodyguard. And Cable is the son of Cyclops and Jean Grey.
Cable is the son of cyclops and Jean greys clone from an alternate timeline, he’s pretty much Deadpool’s best friend in the present, he’s an omega level telekinetic mutant on par with him mom and people like professor x except he has a techno organic virus that’s trying to turn him into a machine (hence the metal arm) and he uses his telekinesis to keep the virus from infecting his entire body, while it is trying to kill him the virus also did pretty much give him even more abilities, the movie didn’t do the greatest job of explaining this but when the gun flew out of Deadpool’s hand to cable, that wasn’t a magnet or the gun being registered to him or anything, it was cable using his telekinesis
waiting for the day some actor says that line the other way around “i’m a grower, not a shower”.. that way everyone can think “ugghh what”.. haha
"I loved her like the ocean needs the beach"
logan and deadpool are both epic movies! lovve them both.
18 rated marvel movies...gotta love them
Things that made me lose it during this film:
"ZIP IT THANOS" had me in stitches in the theater XD
Literally any scene with Domino. I L O V E Zazie Beets.
Also the end. I despise goodbyes. I keep telling my partner that if he goes before me, "I swear to god I will find you in the next life, and blast Careless Whisper outside your window"
The awesome fact is, that even with this movie, they can directly continue off of it. They can do a whole "Hey you caused like... a bajillion incursions. fix this shit." And I swear to god, if Spiderman isn't in DP3... Imma go berserk.
When Wade opened the hole in the floor with the cocain and the cure for blindness, that was a reference to the first movie where he tells the roomate about that stash as a throw away line that you think he is lying about... but nope, he actually has a coke stash a gun and the cure for blindness hidden the the house lol
Also when DP was swirling the swords around him to deflect the bullets but gets shot up, its a reference to where he played Deadpool/Wade in one of the X-Men movies and did that same maneuver but DID block all the bullets lol
You really need to watch “Once Upon a Deadpool”. Nobody has mentioned it yet! New jokes, and Fred Savage is in it!
Im excited to see Deadpool 3 whenever that happens in the future
Don’t know if you know Addie but Cable is played by Josh Brolin who also plays Thanos in the mcu!
Domino's unconscious superpower is that she drains the luck from everyone around her... making her alive, and the rest of the team dead. Haha.
When i heard domino was going to to be in the i thought how in the world are they going to do her power, well they nailed it
I just caught the Goonies reference. He called him one eyed Willie and Cable was in Goonies.
I don't know if you are aware but yes Vanessa is saved! She's going to be in DP3!
"So anyway"
Excited for DP3!!!!
Wolverine vs Deadpool!!!!
That awesome moment when she eventually finds out Cable is the same actor who plays Thanos :P
loved the 2 josh brolin bits. One Eyed Willy (Goonies) and Thanos :D
Eh, it's like she is sapping the luck from everyone around her. See the destruction and chaos she caused?
@@StinkyGreenBud Sure, but that's the nature of luck. If one person is vs another, and one of those people is incredibly lucky, then the other will be incredibly unlucky. You haven't really said anything.
I mean, yeah...if a person is incredibly lucky, then their opponent is incredibly unlucky.
@wfly81 Again, did you not see the innocent people get thrashed by her power? Her power makes everyone, not just bad guys, unlucky. Her power is more villainous than anything.
@@StinkyGreenBud Bystanders are called bystanders for a reason. She didn't draw from their luck...they were just innocent and unfortunate bystanders.
Her lucky break is when the dude slip on the wet floor and falls face first into his knife.
Her luck doesn't come from the poor bastard who has to call his insurance company because his car got trashed. That dude is just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
When a dude is set to kill Domino, and he dies instead, that's her good luck that came directly from his bad luck.
All the references are great but i think my favorite HAS to be the Goonies one

Speaking of Marvel, I recommend Fantastic Four (Chris Evans) & X-Men Dark Phoenix 👌.
Yeah, Dark Phoenix isn't the most well-liked film for fans of the X-Verse (that's what I'm calling the X-Men universe). I think Addie oughta go into that one with VERY low expectations.

Juggernaut is closer to the comics in this movie. Cain Marko is Xavier’s stepbrother who has magical powers from the Ruby of Cytorak
