As someone who suffers from severe depression, this game disturbed me to my core.
It's been years, but this stayed unbeaten in terms of story for me. It's a horror game, so you get into it without expecting much, and then it throws you into a spiralling descent of existential crisis.
Finished it last night, best game I've played in a long time.

I did not just play that game, I felt it, the horror, the tragedy, the pain and the suffering all of it, and in that regard it really beats Amnesia the Dark Decent
this looks incredible, i like that the developers of amnesia are working on a bigger title, hopefully this is a success, they deserve it
It's a shame that horror games like this are always ignored by so called horror fans, while Resident Evil village is called horror.
Severely underrated gem of a game. The entire concept and execution eclipses the vast majority of horror games and movies for that matter.

Outlast was nothing to me in comparison to Soma even tho it's definitely not the scariest frictional games production. I also really enjoyed outlast but I felt like speedrunning it and the only thing that scared me was that jumpscare at the beginning with a hanged corpse@@indiehippie3644

Well, it’s from like two years ago.
Simple " Where I am? " , " How did I get here" and " What is this place?". But still im so exciting to play this kind of game.
The genuine fear, despair, dread & existential hopelessness this game gave me is beyond anything I've ever played. Pure nightmare of a game & has you literally fearing to play even though you want too.
A Master Piece - played it years back and its cray good
I have this game but I have not played it yet …
How Long To Beat suggests a playtime of no more than 11 hours which is convenient …
& to see a relatively short game get such responses in the comments blows my mind.
It reminds me of how I felt after playing Inside. It’s a short game with a mind-bending ending.
I loved Inside! Definitely the same type of feeling, but way better at the end of SOMA. What a masterpiece. I sat through the entire end credits feeling so empty inside, then when that last bit of gameplay hit... wow.

Ahh one of the first horror games I ever finished 100%
I missed it so much, I’m looking forward to play it again very soon. It was the most amazing game I ever played actually. The story, the creatures, just the game itself. No jumpscares (little ones?) or anything that plays with us. Just pure fear and it amazes me. I actually cried at the end but we’re not talking abt this part ⛹🏻♀️. 10/10 would recommend to everybody who likes psychological horror games !! Can’t wait to play this masterpiece again

ust beat SOMA, Excellent game, a few things I found annoying but overall it was still amazing. Started it April 18th and finally beat it today on May 28th after 14.5 hours. This game was great and the plot and direction this game took was insane. GG!

I dreamed of a video game, which takes place in a time when people are increasingly being replaced by machines. People are taken by high-ranking people in the state and you don't know what will happen to them. And one person wanted to get around this by jumping into deep channels where many power cables run. This person has merged with the electricity and has received a new body of electricity that has strong new abilities that surpass those of a normal person, such as giving electric shocks, moving quickly and so on. This person is now trying to survive in the world with his new body and hiding from the police/FBI.
Does such a game exist?

Let's just put it this way my brother doesn't like narrative games I had him play for ten minutes and he didn't stop til the story was done.

Why is it only on PC and PS?
Biggest flaw of Xbox is not obtaining beautiful titles like this. I'm an Xbox owner and I would buy a PS4 just for these titles SOMA, Killing Floor 2, Etc.
I'm rather glad they're no longer hiding the you're probably a robot angle. Looking forward to this game, but that was the most obvious it's going to happen plot surprise I've seen in a game.
