Hi Cuz! Thank you for putting a smile on my face. 😊I love your weird pieces! I would love to go to that castle with you. Morning glory is a pretty glaze. Love the pumpkin and I really love the little milk jug, it's so cute! I also love the heart mugs. So sorry about your beautiful bowl, and the pretty fuzzy peach bowl, that's a pretty glaze. Love you Julia! ♥😍🥰
Hey Cuz, I would love to take you to Chillingham Castle, you would love it 😊 I was gutted about the broken bowl and the fuzzy peach one, but loved the oeach combo so shall try it inside a bowl., maybe on the rich toasted clay to see if I can get anymore colour from it. Love you too ❤️ 😍 🥰
@@ceramicsbyjulia8552 Hi Cuz! We would have so much fun! Who did Chillingham castle belong to, originally? Yeah, I would be too. It was a beautiful bowl. That's a good idea. I'm interested to see the fuzzy peach combo on the rich toasted clay. Love you! ❤😍🥰
Hey Cuz, I got your othe rmessage re castles. We would def have a lot of fun, next time I go to a castle I could video chat with you there so you could come along at a distance, for now till you can come visit 😊 I really want the other new spectrum glazes but they are out of stock all the time here, I've only found a couple of suppliers. Will have to just play with the ones I have. Love you Cuz ❤️ 🥰 😍
@@ceramicsbyjulia8552 Hi Cuz! Sounds good! Yeah, that would be nice. I think people are having a difficult time getting them here too. Love you Cuz! ❤🥰😍
Hi my lovely Cuz, I found a couple in stock at Scarva in Ireland so I've ordered a few and ordered a few speedball mid fire too. I've lost my creative mojo a bit though so not sure what I'm supposed to glaze 🤣 love you Cuz ❤️ 😘 😍
Hi Julia, beautiful little Morning Glory bowl. Cute CF pumpkin. Very cool square sided vase. Oh dear about your bowl. Darn. We can always count on Julia to create something right off the charts! We love you Julia!
Love the rectangular pink dish. The mugs you both made turned out well. Nice that you can do clay play with your partner. I think you should continue making your artistic pieces. There are so many torture pieces you could create. Maybe to express your feelings and emotions with a modern day twist. Showing your feminine side to possibly represent, some of the anguish, sadness and negativity females of our day experience. So many nice pieces such a great variety this kiln. Happy potting
Hi, thankyou so much for your wonderful comments 🙏 I really appreciate all the support and encouragement. You have made me rethink and I shall keep going with my artistic twist on the weapons. I love your interpretation, thankyou 😊

Love the morning glory bowl. Colour is gorgeous. Love the heart idea on the mugs. Cute. Omgosh the flail is amazing. You should do a display/ exhibit with both the torture pieces and feminine pieces. You are very talented. Great kiln unload
Hi Julia! You may have changed my mind about Rose Quarts. Too bad that bowl ran! What a cute shape on your milk jug! I bet your platter didn't get as hot. Copper float likes a good cone 6 or even hotter. To bad the platter cracked. It's lovely! The square vase is beautiful! I love that combo and don't think I would have even considered doing that. Too bad about the large bow. It was beautiful. Refires always run the risk of that. The next one will be even better! I like the square bowl as is. If it were me, I wouldn't risk a refire on that. Someone will love it and buy it. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Pat, thankyou so much. Yes I think you are right about the heat on the community kiln, I have seen so many bad things about Rose quartz but I don't mind it 😀 it's always onwards and upwards in pottery we don't mourn our losses for long😊
Oh Julia, you really should try an iron maiden too..a scale model ofcourse.. its interesting to see what different pieces you made. Love this kiln unload. Stunning. Bye Love Sheila ❤
OMG Julia! Such an entertaining video. I love your flail and get where you are coming from. Very artistic. You have come up with some very original pieces. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Hey Julia!!! Lovely seeing u so happy bubbly and healthy! Oh I’m so happy u saved that plate it’s so pretty!! Thankyou for the shoutout! I don’t think I can ever get morning glory glaze I couldn’t say it without giggling lol. Ohhh I spotted the skull behind you! Oh I love the idea of a little heart on the mugs so cute and subtle. That jug shape is gorgeous. Omg I looove yr torture idea. The flail is amazing! Def art I think it’s stunning! I love that my off hand comment of ball n chain has lead to a collection! U should def exhibit them w the feminine pieces on the opposite side. I desperately want to make one in my hand building class. If u give me permission to try would u dm me some tips please? Awesome unload. Nat xx
Hi lovely, thankyou so much ❤️ I know it makes me giggle too even just saying morning glory 😆 Tolga is very happy that you like his little heart idea. I love that little jug 😊 I am really happy at the feedback from the flail, I may have to reinstate my art idea 😊 I still didn't get a low fire clear for my skull plate, I've not been doing much recently, I'm on a go slow 😅 You don't need my permission to try any thing I make lovely, I'm happy to help you in any way I can ♥️ ♥️
Fun kiln opening ! But gutted about the broken bowl. So sad!!! On new kiln shelves too, gutting! Really like the Blue Rutile with the small heart on the speckled clay. Creates some nice texture. The little jug is adorable too! Your wierd piece.... finally congrats on getting it to survive to the point when you liat two more spikes! Nooo! So delicate but effective. Definately a different direction for your creative outlet, interested to see what follows next. Definately not seen anything like that before lol You're looking well too Julia ❤
Hi lovely, I know my poor kiln shelves 😂 I should refuse to do spikes ever again but I've had so much great feedback from the flail and encouragement to keep making weapons, so Iight have to keep moving forward with it. Hope all is well with you my friend ❤️ ❤️
Adding, I've found Spectrum's Ginger to be a strong glaze. One wouldn't think so based on the light color, but it does overpower other glazes. I love your flail. It doesn't sound at all weird to me to say one is in tune with other dimensions. In fact, the property I live on has several haunted buildings, so I've experienced it first hand. Some people just close their minds to the possibility that there are things we don't understand. As far as the concept, I love it! Another way to look at it, is that some things can be used for good or for evil. The item itself is neither good or evil. It takes a person to decide how it will be used. A flail could be used to victimize people, or to defend good people against bad ones. There's nothing silly about your art. And pieces that evoke emotion and conversation are successes in my book!
Ahhh Pat thankyou so much for your kind words! Your property sounds very interesting! I just love old haunted places 😊 you are right, some people are closed and that is a shame as seeing that energy still exists after this human body is a comfort. You are so right Pat, I was worried that people would just see it as too much, I am glad it is thought provoking. Maybe I will go back to my original idea, you are reactivating my imagination 😊
@@ceramicsbyjulia8552 I try not to let what other people think influence my life to any degree. We each have our own lives, thoughts, dreams, and beliefs. That makes the world interesting. Sooo excited for this!! You look absolutely beautiful by the way!! Oh honey those poor shelves. lol. Have you ever made kiln cookies? You can just make flat little pieces of clay and kiln wash them and put your pots on them. Or you can make ones that are raised in the middle. Sarah Walton has a video on how to make them on the wheel if you have a wheel. Spectrums floating glazes really run! I didn’t know that at first and applied 3 coats instead of 2!! I love that pot that ran so badly. And the cups with matching jug are gorgeous!! Ooh that pumpkin is gorgeous! I’m so sorry that big platter is cracked. Do they use alumina hydrate under big pieces? It would look beautiful on a plate stand! I love the vase! That clay is gorgeous!! Did you use a mold to make that one? Oh no that big beautiful bowl!! It looks like it was stuck to the shelf and couldn’t move. Try and get some alumina hydrate to sprinkle on the shelves to put under your bigger pieces and kiln wash your shelves. It will really help! Oh wow that flail is amazing!! It turned out perfect!!! Your chains are so perfect!! Mine have come apart as well as having bulges where they meet but I’m practicing. I love the idea behind the flail! My husband is a martial artist and so is my son. He knows alot of the history behind weapons. If that piece was really old it would probably have a few things missing. lol. It looks great and I totally get the idea.
Hi lovely, thankyou for your kind comments ☺️ I do have cookies and raised cookies, I was in a real hurry to get the kiln on and just didn't think, especially as I had fired the big bowl without a cookie last time and had no problem, I should have known better than to fire a new glaze especially Spectrum without a cookie, think my brain is in backwards atm 😆 they don't use anything at the community kiln, the last couple platters fired no problem, think that one maybe got a little thin where I pressed the placemat in. I haven't been in full pottery mode recently. Oh wow how fabulous that you hubby and Son do that, I wasn't sure how the flail would go down, I didn't want to upset snyone😊
@ I’m sorry. I know how it is to have brain fog!! I have Lyme disease, since I was about 10 but only diagnosed when I was about 33. It’s absolutely terrible and so hard to concentrate and think of simple words. I hope you have time to get back into your pottery. I just love that your boyfriend, mate? Not sure what you call him, likes pottery too!! Spectrum has been a little hard to figure out. I have a big kiln so it’s quite a while between kiln loads but my last load I had just a handful of pots with spectrum on them and where the glaze is heavy and drips it just turns white for me. It’s so odd because I see everyone else having these beautiful colors but I think it’s because I used 3 coats and I fire to a hot cone 6 almost 7. So I put a few spectrum pieces on the top shelf where it didn’t get as hot so I’ll see how they turn out. Don’t be afraid of offending people with your art. If they don’t get it that’s fine.
