    Totally agree with you Brett that jumping past the basic skill of good push offs for age group swimmers is too common. To do good underwater travel and breakouts, on each turns requires enough rest to do it right. Like in track it’s not possible to repeat race quality skills without enough rest to execute the skill correctly with appropriate intensity. This will of course eat into total yardage of a session which many coaches are not willing to do.
