Beautiful work. And research. I did several years of it myself. I rode using a 45lb Grozer Scythian bow using a thumb draw. And was always curious how the Scythian s used the Groytos and I think having watched all your videos you are correct in its usage and draw method for the bow and the arrows. I experimented with Lajos method but I believe this wasn't what the Scythian s used as all art work doesn't show multiple arrows in the bow hand. It works with lower poundage bows but I believe from the remains of bows found that they where quiet heavier. Anyways great work my friend I will be sure to wait for your next videos. :)
As an archer from a country, where Skyphians lived 2 tausend years ago, I was wondering how they do mounted archery, how they shoot etc. Thank you for your research, it was very informative and interesting to watch! But I must say, that I use reverse draw with parfian (I hope I write this word correct 😅) shooting way, and it feels much more comfortable for me as mediterranean/ slavic draw. So it might be also some kind of taste or physiological thing :)
3:30 Ooh! My question gets answered! So if you were charging, you'd want to switch to your sword about 40 metres (rounding up for safety margin) before reaching the enemy. Practice and a different setup may allow you to do it faster. If I may suggest a topic, dismounting could make for a good video. You mentioned the Scythian shield seemed intended for infantry, so being able to quickly dismount and get into a line would be important. We have seen you show us mounting, but dismounting in a combat situation could also be very important for a cavalryman.
If I shoot an arrow from about 100 meters, I arrive the enemy, more or less together with the arrow. So I have enough time. Dismounting without a saddle is quite easy ;-), I gues, it takes not that much training. Thank you for your comment, and thank you for the question!

I rode a horse once.
It knew who was Boss.
And it wasn't me.
