The advertisement for the Royal Iris on the side of the blue Atlantian, brilliant, "the socialble ship", I had a few sociable party nights on her back in the day, especially on a rough sea, you'd fall over as soon as disembarked onto the landing stage, co's you'd been shifting you weight all night to stay upright ! The superb Wallasey No1 and the BL in as delivered mid seventies LT livery with yellow doors this was a nice variation but on re paints double deckers and single deckers would revert to all over red ,nationals at the time were delivered in all over red as leyland wouldnt do the white stripe or even paint the entrance doors yellow LT had to do it but they didn’t add white ,as for the BLs they replaced RFs in 75/76 on our route 290 Hammersmith -Richmond the passengers abd done drivers hatted them ,happy new year mate
What a shame lived in Wrexham all my life have built models of both Wrexham and Corwen garages and my father was an old tilling crosville driver we never even got to hear about this running day well that’s Wrexham for you a city a joke.

Very nice old fashioned buses. I got few friends who are proper enthusiasts of old fashioned vintage buses.
