Using the peripheral I couldn't catch anything, think I was reeling the wrong way. Not worth the price as the L-stick for movement is overly awkward in the toy.

Can you switch the controller you move with? Seems like a pain to reach around the reel just to adjust your view

Totally worth the price. Btw, the price for rod controller bundle (with game) is same as the price for the game itself. So, just get the bundle.
