    My average weekday:
    10:00-19:00 💼 Work
    19:00-21:00 📚 Scrimba + Projects
    21:00-22:00 🍽️ Dinner
    22:00 onwards 📚 Scrimba + Projects
    In 2 weeks, I managed to complete the HTML/CSS course, JS course, ES6 course and am currently working on the Meme Generator section of the React Course. Thank you guys for creating such an intuitive and seamlessly accessible learning platform.🙏

      nah, it's possible. Some people have insanely high IQ's and comprehension rates... I learned Javascript in 2 months.. but that was working 8 hours... studying 8 sleeping 6 .. for like 2 months.... lots of discipline no social life and practice... If I didn't have a job and work also.... I guess 2 weeks would be possible...@@ayushrana3429

    Some things that are helpful to me when studying are to set reasonable daily goals and make to-do lists - with pen and paper! Every time I cross an item off with my pen, I get a little boost that pushes me to tackle the next one.

  • @danielrose1961
    @danielrose1961 Рік тому +2

    My habits revolve around the pomodoro technique: I try to work in uninterrupted, distraction-free, 25-minute sessions, with periodic breaks of 5 minutes and occasional breaks of 15 minutes between them. During the 25-minute work sessions, I turn on a distraction blocker (an app called Self-Control), and during the breaks, I try (though often fail lately…) to make them be screen-free times, so I give my eyes/brain a break and re-engage with the real world for a while. Finally, I set a goal for the number of 25-minute sessions I do per day - 8 to 16, depending on how much time I have.
    Beyond that, I don't really have a set routine. For me, that's part and parcel of what being adult learner doing asynchronous, self-led online learning is all about! I do my learning when I can and how I want, fitting it in around the rest of my schedule, which is a bit erratic, and following my interests where they lead. If that means focusing on a project for a while, I do that. If it means focusing on lessons, I do that. If it means reading, I do that. The way I see it, as long as I'm reaching my target with the amount of time I'm spending on something that feels worthwhile and educational to me (whatever that happens to be), then I’ve put in a good day of learning!

    • @bookercodes
      @bookercodes Рік тому +1

      I think you're spot on here. A rigid schedule doesn't work for everyone, especially if you're balancing learning to code with your other responsibilities. You need to be adaptable yet disciplined enough to make sure you're moving in a broad direction you value.
      I like your idea of using pomodoros: "It doesn't matter when I do them but I will do them"

  • @bbabines
    @bbabines Рік тому +1

    Hands down best learning platforms I've tried so far. After I'm done with the sections, I know exactly how to recreate what I've done. Which isn't the case with other platforms.

    • @bbabines
      @bbabines Рік тому

      @@bookercodes For me, it's their whole structure. Some places take a "paint by number" approach. But in the end, you can't recreate it. However, their method makes you pause and think before you move on. This is the trick imo.

    0700 up, coffee, zombie like activities
    0800 exercise, shower, work related stuff
    1000-1200 work and catching up with colleagues
    1300+ Scrimba and projects and codewars till my brain hurts
    (all frequently interrupted by work as I'm on call 24/7)

    I hold myself to 5 screen casts a day. Been doing this for a few months now and am already mid way through module 11. 5 screen casts a day might not sound like much but I feel like if I did any more the information wouldn't stick in my head and if i can't remember what i have learnt from overloding on knowledge then whats the point.
