@@MurphyFarm2014 ask your hookbilled chook to touch you :) I’ve had many wee parrots that were rescues and did not want to be touched. But they would touch me on cue (shake, high five, recall training, etc)
@@fenika3 Thanks, but she's a biter... not a touchable bird. And she will only step up on my hand or finger if I'm rescuing her from a risky situation. She's a 6 yr old quaker parrot 😊
@ have you watched my cockatiel video? Start off with a millet spray and get her to at least keep coming close to your hand. My friend is doing it with Willow. Willow is used to me but usually won’t go near strangers
@@niltonc.7333 not a good idea. If he decides to favour it then it can cause bumble foot. We never put sandpaper or grit paper in cages like they once thought was ok 😊

suggestion, put some fine sand paper on the bottom half of its favorite perche.
