    Lyrics:
Now that you have gone away
I feel so cold, why did I stay?
Remember, I'll remember your face so pale
when you left me on that gloomy day...
Time goes by, memories are mine
Still waiting for the moment I'll see you again
Times are changing, memories are fading
    I'm waiting for another chance
to tell you belong to me
    One day
    I know we'll meet again
    Under the Iron Sky.
    Im still praying the stars,
to give me hope and little signs.
My heart is lying, my love for you is not dying.
    I'm waiting for another chance
to tell you belong to me
    One day
    I know we'll meet again
    Under the Iron Sky.
I know we'll meet again one day.
    Under The Iron Sky.
    One day
    I know we'll meet again
    Under the Iron Sky.

This song was used in the original trailer for the film, a haunting piece beautifully executed that fit into the visuals like a hand in a glove.

@@Rawhide68 My bad, the original trailer is on UA-cam: ua-cam.com/video/4lJAw_BtM2g/v-deo.html
The music is (IMHO) a haunting piece that works beautifully with the visuals.
I knew the makers from their earlier work on the StarWreck series and, being British, I delighted in their sense of absurdity. The injection of corporate cash in the eventual Iron Sky film muted that somewhat, corporates, aware of their own absurdity, are sensitive to its portrayal on screen.

My dad wanted to watch a movie with me, so I told him that I've downloaded a movie for us to watch and put on Iron Sky.
Now, a few months later I asked him if he remembers this song and which movie it is from. His answer: "Hmm must be some James Bond movie."

A beautiful version of Under the Iron Sky.
The arrangement is perfect, from the delicate fluttering of the piano to the warning shots fired from the brass section.
Kaiti's voice is like a delicious cherry on top - dark, smooth, with a hint of sweetness.
    Truly superb.

I love Iron Sky, and this song is a huge part of the reason why.
The film is virtually perfect for me, from the style, to the mix of english and german (I understand german as a second language) to the brilliant references to other films...right down to the casting of Udo Kier (a personal hero of mine) as the Moon-Fuhrer.
Capping it off with this glorious song for the apocalyptic end of the film was just...perfect.
Honestly I cannot praise the film or this song enough.

    It's funny...
the first teaser for iron sky had this song in it a gave a very dark and melancholy tone. And that's what I acutally expected from the movie. So in the end I was really disappointed when it turned out to be a trashy science fiction comedy film. Not cuz it was bad but I was hoping for something completely different :D
    Never the less...great song!

you my friend couldn't have said it any better. don't get me wrong i still thought it was a good and funny movie (thought it wasn't gonna be) but i thought it was gonna be an epic war movie. its a great concept for a movie, just wished it wasn't a comedy.

Me too man, i really wished it was grim.
I wished if it was like this:
Nazis became so advanced and so well hidden all this time
they left earth and made a better advancement
they came back to revenge, easily took over the world but got dis-interrested and went back to the moon.

vomitronic Because some people just want to watch the world burn.

    • @dk0383
      @dk0383 9 років тому +6

vomitronic A potential reason for this may be the simple fact that the concept of Nazis on the Moon is an inherently difficult thing to handle straight. Thus, I think that the decision to be part satire, and part comedic homage to the naziploitation films before it was a smart move as it actually made the film far more enjoyable than your standard issue Sy-Fy original movie creations.

I believe it technically qualifies as Trip Hop. But I don't think you'll find much trip hop with the jazz/big bang sound mixed in. There are songs that capture this kind of vibe, but with different aesthetics.

Actually AFAICT this was the original - the version they ended up using in the movie was a cover of this ...

Ironic! But in the film, Space Nazies should have had an upper hand, and Earthling humans should have been underdogs. In film, the NAZies have large ships, and look dramatic, but have weak , within film's context, firepower. Americans bring brilliant pebbles (mass balistic weapons), electromagnetic railguns, and gigawatt class lasers. Though their spacecraft are fragile looking, the weaponry is far superior to the NAZIes. In the atmosphere American A-10's and F-22's just destroy the NAZIes.

The Nazis are powerful they have titanium armor on there space craft and the top turret are mini cannon that can shoot through tanks. The United nations won cause of something called Hollywood logic
