@Kwonkicker is a legend! For anyone who doesn't know, Kwonkicker had a medical condition that made him have to back off from martial arts. It was head and I think inner ear-related. Was surprised to see him back to sparring! But I am sure that's a big part of the reason why they pulled away from full contact to the head. God bless Kwonkicker and I hope he is feeling better! Still a BAMF!
That's actually really motivational to hear as when I was younger I used to do taekwondo 5 days a week, 4-5 hours a day and as much sparring as I could get my hands on over the course of 3-4 years. Got up to 175 lbs doing it then unfortunately started living with a friend and because I had to support him ended up neglecting eating and over the course of a year dropped down to 120 while consequently suffering a neck injury from a trampoline incident and couldn't turn my head to the left for over a month and now whenever I throw a heavy punch or kick I get a pounding headache in the back of my skull. Trying to get back into taekwondo to get back to and surpass how I used to be
he has pretty good pressure but I watched the full sparring and I'm sure Shane was going easy on him. understandably since Shane has like 20 pounds on him
Dude I’m so glad you guys got to have that collaboration. Awesome memories, now you 2 just need to add GNT and do a session with all 3 of you 👍🏽 old school squad 👌🏽
It wasn't that stout a kick. You guys both looked good... also its gotta be tough on both of you when someone has an understanding of your game. Like the tkd trickery that works on mma-gym-bros isn't that surprising for another tkdork.
Wow First time i saw SHANE he collab with Kwon Kicker in "Taekwondo VS Muay Thai" Thats very cool and funny im verry inspired to learn both Keep Spirit for SHANE & KWONKICKER😁🙏💪
I watched the whole sparring session on Kwonkicker's channel. You were being a good friend, Shane. Micah needed that after what he's had to deal with. Props to you!
I actually said dis on Kwonkicker’s video, so I’ll say it here! They should make a fighting game featuring UA-cam’s premier martial artists and/or their channels! Just imagine urself, Kwonkicker, GNT, da late Kimbo Slice, Jesse Enkamp, those two Gracies dat break down skirmishes, and so on all rolled up in one, perhaps, awesome beat ‘em up!
I dont think Shane was worried he had hurt his friend , but it seemed he was more worried about his big toe possibly scratching around his eye idk. Either way it was interesting to watch people spar with no head gear throwing "spinning shit" lol
I tend to do the one where I let the roundhouse kick drop to the ground as a setup for the sidekick, but I'll have to try that one with it in the air in sparring soon. I've done it before in the air but for some reason never used it in sparring, especially with a jab cross setup to the roundhouse, I think I can really land it as that's a set up I already like to do for a fully invested roundhouse kick.
Saw the sparring on Kwon's channel before, but it's always cool to see the same sparring from a different angle and with different moments emphasised, good stuff :)
Shane, love the content! its really helped me! I would love to see a video on the best TAKEDOWN methods and strategies. no joke, last month I got kneed in the face while sparring (takedown attempt) and had major reconstructive surgery. sinus bone, cheek bone, eye socket all caved in.
Man i used to think these traditional martial arts were all bullshit but in the last couple years i come to love taekwondo. spinning shit is the best it's awesome.
you've always been a great kickboxer shane, but its kwl to see your Taekwon-Do improving too. a lot of people neglect it but its really important in the modern striking game
Shane can you do a video on how to have control while kicking, especially for the side kick.. I lean back with my body like you showed in this video, so I don't know if it's a flexibility issue or my muscles aren't strong enough to control it. I'm a big heavyweight with big strong legs so kicking isn't as easy. Roundhouse kicks, spinning back/heel kicks go relatively easy, just some more flexibility needed, but I'm struggling with the side kick. I do have a karate background (brown belt) from when I was young and was able to do side kicks, but as i said I've put on a lot of weight and muscle since then.
That head kick was dope. Good control to pull it back. Happens in sparring sometimes! Good stuff Shane

Tinnitus BTW.

Watching Shane kick is actually mesmerizing. His body just doesn't move like the body normally should. So much control.
He has some really good kicks
Watching Shane and practicing meticulously on a daily basis is how I've improved my fighting so freaking much
I'm old and out of shape, but I hope to improve a lot. We practice a lot of this kind of sparring in my karate class
Shane, Kwon, and others are the reason I got back into martial arts and karate. And they really help me improve through 2 years
I remember when you were like just boxing and muai thai, now you are an amazing hybrid with high level punches and kicks
if I'm not mistaken taekwondo was his first discipline
@@deni6943 yes but he focused o muai thai when he was like 16
thats interesting cause he wasnt punching much. Im pretty sure he could outbox kwon with ease
@@knuckle-sandwichmma681 I gues it so, kwon is a kickboxer, but not a boxer, eventhough it doesn't look like he is an easy oponent
he has pretty good pressure but I watched the full sparring and I'm sure Shane was going easy on him. understandably since Shane has like 20 pounds on him
That high kick is so good wow
thank god..there is someone who is teaching TAEKWONDO as a practical martial art...instead of making it a funky dance
One time shane replied to one of my comments and that was a great day. Again shane your doing great work helping them good job and good luck.
Better late than never! 👋 😊
I love watching these videos. Always makes me want to get out of my chair and go train immediately after (and during) the video.
Agree. But I just worked out before the video released
Dude I’m so glad you guys got to have that collaboration. Awesome memories, now you 2 just need to add GNT and do a session with all 3 of you 👍🏽 old school squad 👌🏽
what happened to kwonkicker channel dont see anymore....best tkd teacher
It is really a great pleasure to watch you spar
The form and control in those kicks even though he's just demonstrating is amazing!!!! 3:40
Shane is truly a master at what he does.
It wasn't that stout a kick. You guys both looked good... also its gotta be tough on both of you when someone has an understanding of your game. Like the tkd trickery that works on mma-gym-bros isn't that surprising for another tkdork.
Lol tkdork is a new one!
I think he was just worried about the eye

Great video, Thank you
@6:09 awesome same side double roundhouse..good sportsmanship👍
thx for inspiring me to do muay thai shane!
Really good teaching skills. Nice^
I dont think Shane was worried he had hurt his friend , but it seemed he was more worried about his big toe possibly scratching around his eye idk. Either way it was interesting to watch people spar with no head gear throwing "spinning shit" lol
the spinning shit thing is gOLD
very risky. they gotta have a lot of control and balance in their kicks
spinning shit must be included in training they work in fighting so why remove it
We do that all the time at my gym lol, but its always ”light sparring”
Akira Kush there is a reason spinnig attacks result a KO so often when landed. Imagine a heel landing on your nose in sparring. Ur not pritected there
great Knowledge brother keep it up ♥️
Great Fakie low High head kick at the end 🙂
Nice techniques! My dream is go to a Shane's Seminar
I mean dude was throwing spinning back fists and shit. Can’t blame Shane for throwing that kick tbh
Hope Shane future is opening up and teaching, coaching mma and standup at his own gym. walking his fighters out to fights that he’s trained.
This channel and Joe Valtellini's channel are bae
Phenomenal balance
Finally someone like me who does not wrap his hand before sparring.
Boxing needs more love shown!!!
That was a good match... good job

5:50 the side kicks into hook kick had me LOL. so opressive in tkd, especially if you have long legs
Nice vid man👍🏾
Kwon's back fist is niiiiiice
Shane, love the content! its really helped me! I would love to see a video on the best TAKEDOWN methods and strategies. no joke, last month I got kneed in the face while sparring (takedown attempt) and had major reconstructive surgery. sinus bone, cheek bone, eye socket all caved in.
thank you bro
Hell yeah
Just did my first class of boxing
That's dope. Always cool to see people pick up a new martial art.
EXCELLENT!
Man i used to think these traditional martial arts were all bullshit but in the last couple years i come to love taekwondo. spinning shit is the best it's awesome.
Six people disliking the video are people who says side kicks don't work lol. How do you dislike this video... people these days
Beautiful to watch, this is what sports can really about friendship and experience!
Hope you keep it on, and of course get some money from it! Haha
Bem solte esse estilo, gostei das técnicas, o arsenal de chutes é bem variado diferente do Muay thay convencional.
We need the double end bag and the velcro boxing gloves back!!!! Ready to give you my money 😂
Dat question mark kick tho...
What the name of song play at 0:36
Do a seminar in Chicago!
Saw this on instagram so i had to check it out lol
To see the full sparring I already seen it at kwonkicker channel. Because this didn't show much
Can you do a video on the perfect stance in boxing
I actually did plan on making a video covering different guards/stances, soon!
fightTIPS Shane can you make a video on how to fight multi stance like haggler
Very Nice..
shane you're a monster
God damn Kwonito is so fast with his spinning shit
🙏
Yo! You need to come to the Bay Area !
San Jose 🙏🏽
you've always been a great kickboxer shane, but its kwl to see your Taekwon-Do improving too. a lot of people neglect it but its really important in the modern striking game
5:56-5:59 man that was a nice counter
Who else saw the entire spar in Kwonkicker’s channel?
Kwon left some important details out tho. Also was going alot harder then Shane.
That photo tho lmao...
