I was convinced I didn’t know the Cloldplay song Arin was talking about but after the second time you showed the clip I knew exactly what he was talking about. He did that perfectly!
My favourite part of the "reach out" segment is that Depeche Mode literally say the words "Personal Jesus" in the next line (then multiple times after that), and Arin's comparison was No Rain by Blind Melon... a song where the words "no rain" are said once in only the third verse lmao
Arin: The coldplay song goes bleuddurnarnerner Me: Wtf Arin... Arin: Theres a monkey in it Me: OMG I KNOW WHAT YOURE TALKING ABOUT! It DOES go bleuddddurnannerrrner
If you look up 'auditory processing disorder' it's just a link to these videos, and a picture of Arin 😂😂 I feel the pain, I never know lyrics until I look them up. Like these convos are so similar to me and my fiance's convos. 😂😂😂😂
26:13 Rockapella did all their bits LIVE. Every show. They performed all of them LIVE. and not just the theme songs, but all their fills and bits during the quiz show portion. LIVE! Friggin legends.
Its a comical ass song. It's even funnier because half of Metallica's songs are Godlike and the other half is hilarious garbage. One being hilarious garbage
Just wanted to point out, at the beginning of Rocket they’re saying “We’re fighting with the Gods of War” in reverse and it’s the coolest thing in the world.
I'm not actually a fan of Haken (couldn't get into them) but as a prog metal fan it's cool to see that Dan's into a prog metal band. I know he talks about Tool a lot but Haken's a bit of a deeper cut. I don't think they've mentioned Dream Theater, though I think Arin name dropped Mike Portnoy at one point? I'd love to know if they like DT though.
I did the same thing, expecting it to be like old 45s where it was close but not quite there, but then the song started and I was like “Wait a minute!”
It’s hilarious when Arin can’t name a song and you fully relate cause for some of these you don’t remember the lyrics 😂 you remember the cool techno boops
i know dan will never see this but what they say at the beginning of Rocket is "were fighting with the gods of war" backwards. Its from a song later in the album
I think if I were not a child in the early 2010's I would not have known Arin's rendition of Adventure of a Lifetime (I actually thought it was another super popular song off of that same album)
the cleveland show could be _excellent_ at times people dismissed it for being the third macfarlane cartoon, but as a whole show, i like it more than most of family guy and american dad.
Because they didn't know what the song was until the end of the video. If you pay attention you'll see that it gets unblurred once they figure out what song it was
This is a grown man on stage screaming in a microphone at a bunch of weird parasocial fans. It all started with a really fucking good metal gear animation... Look at where we are now.
Well, they are comedians and musicians, so they have a pass for making fun of both good music and popular music. Popular music isn't inherently bad, it's just that it ages much faster. Now about the artists you compare, none of them are bad, it's just that each of their crafts are done differently. Some have had much more power over their creative decisions than others. Also, when you're a musician/artist you can't limit yourself just to listening/seeing the "masters" because if you do, you essentially miss out on building a better understanding of the art world. Also you miss out on jokes, so m'yeah.
I absolutely love that sandstorm bit in the cold open. He knows this is a meme and plays it perfectly!
The show I saw in Atlanta the light mixer did an amazing job elevating an already great bit!
I love when Dan chuckles right before he says/sings something funny
"I just thought of something hilarious. Arin's gonna love this!"
the funny thing is, he's right, I immediately knew EXACTLY which Coldplay song Arin was talking about
yeah, isn't it actually Adventure of a Lifetime? (I made this comment before finishing the video lmao)
Give me fuel, give me fire, give double charizard
My name is Cleveland Brown
And all my poop is brown
I just rhymed brown with brown
My name is Cleveland Brown
I was convinced I didn’t know the Cloldplay song Arin was talking about but after the second time you showed the clip I knew exactly what he was talking about. He did that perfectly!
🤣I'm sorry, but fucking CLOLDplay
It took me until the second to the last one😂
their Kiss from a Rose phase was classic.
i'm losing my shit over Dan calling Mike Shinoda a "White Guy Rapper" lol @4:48
My favourite part of the "reach out" segment is that Depeche Mode literally say the words "Personal Jesus" in the next line (then multiple times after that), and Arin's comparison was No Rain by Blind Melon... a song where the words "no rain" are said once in only the third verse lmao

the coldplay song arin was talking about was adventure of a lifetime
i knew it immediately
26:13 Rockapella did all their bits LIVE. Every show. They performed all of them LIVE. and not just the theme songs, but all their fills and bits during the quiz show portion. LIVE! Friggin legends.
gimme four, gimme five, gimme slice of cherry pie
19:49 I do totally wanna hear a NSP cover of Depeche Mode's 'Enjoy the Silence'.
27:34 BIRTHDAY MASSACRE MENTIONED❗️❗️❗️❗️ WHAT THE FUCK IS AN AMAZING BAND❗️❗️❗️❗️
2:48 the way he reads it so calmly is SENDING ME
God, I love that "Boom Boom... Pray"
12:13
Hearing Dan and Arin sing Dinosaur is unironically so glorious
Wow, I never realized how much Dan sings One by Metallica
You think at some point he’d learn the rest of that verse 😂
He's sung it almost as many times as Arin has listened to his favorite album, "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" by The Smashing Pumpkins.
Its a comical ass song. It's even funnier because half of Metallica's songs are Godlike and the other half is hilarious garbage. One being hilarious garbage
@TheMrrccava I'd say that One is kinda both. We could label it as "Godlike garbage"
I just wanna appreciate that little cover of Applause we got at 15:40
absolutely perfect lmao
The Black Eyed Priest joke gets me every time, legitimately one of the best jokes they have ever made imo haha
The wrecking ball bit was so amazing to listen to. Such a good display of improv lyrics and amazing synergy between Dan and Arin.
I could listen to Danny sing the opening piano riff from Clocks allllll day
"That white guy rapper" from Linkin Park is Mike Shinoda, and he's actually half Japanese lol.
For once I knew what song Arin was trying to sing 😂😂😂
19:08 boom boom pray really got me.
9:51 "There's a she-wolf in your closet?" Of course this catches Dan's attention
24:42 ok but dan really did perfect here even if he had no idea what arin was talking about
The 2 funniest attempts Arin's done to remember songs is defo adiamus in skyward sword and that 45 song in majora's mask 🤣 hilarious every time
Grump compilations are my happy place. Thank you for what you do
Oh man, having that Coldplay song as the throughline of the video was genius. It made the ending so satisfying.
Just wanted to point out, at the beginning of Rocket they’re saying “We’re fighting with the Gods of War” in reverse and it’s the coolest thing in the world.
I absolutely love that Dan listens to Haken. They've been my favorite band for a few months now.
I shat a brick the first time he mentioned them
I'm not actually a fan of Haken (couldn't get into them) but as a prog metal fan it's cool to see that Dan's into a prog metal band. I know he talks about Tool a lot but Haken's a bit of a deeper cut. I don't think they've mentioned Dream Theater, though I think Arin name dropped Mike Portnoy at one point? I love how he says "I don't have a voice for singing right now" and then has the most angelic voice ever XD
Arin trying to find this coldplay song and sounding like an absolute madman. I thought he was crazy too until I found it myself.
Man, they've riffed on that one Metallica song a lot, huh?
Well, one really kicks ass
@@bloomontoyou1408which one?
@JoshuaKayle Not sure if you are asking, but the title of the Metallica song is "One"
@@alanfish91 sorry, I’m a jackass. It was an ill conceived joke.
that *one* Metallica song
25:58 is my new favorite song. Lady Depp has fallen to spot #2
I had never heard adventure of a lifetime, but I looked it up after this and I gotta say Arin was actually really spot on 😂
I did the same thing, expecting it to be like old 45s where it was close but not quite there, but then the song started and I was like “Wait a minute!”
This was one of the best compilations out there.
You're doing God's work, thank you for a beautiful trilogy ❤🎉
i LOVE these compilations, i hope you never run out of material for them
I was at work and right at 28:37 Dan’s version of KFAR with Super Guitar Bros came on the work Spotify, coincidence? I think NOT!
My cat did NOT like the evenflow bit 😂😂😂
The gloom of the grey... I don't fuckin- ask Seal, I don't know!
14:40 best thing I’ve heard all week
It’s hilarious when Arin can’t name a song and you fully relate cause for some of these you don’t remember the lyrics 😂 you remember the cool techno boops
25:59 fucking _murdered_ me
Dang dude that was a journey because I also knew that melody but couldn't for the life of me tell you the title
"all the poop is brown... all the poop is brooown"
Way too many time have a heard a song from these boys only to look up the song and realize it's not nearly as good as their version of it.
This is how I learn Danny likes Haken?!!! Literally one of my favorite bands of all time
26:46 HAKEN 🔥🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥
Was that Dan in the beanie in the first clip
Looks like it & he looked so cute, shame the rest of his outfit doesn’t match 😄
i know dan will never see this but what they say at the beginning of Rocket is "were fighting with the gods of war" backwards. Its from a song later in the album
21:31
Christ, it's only at Coldplay and I'm already crying laughing
I quote 14:17 often
PART 4 PART 4
california steamin' really got me
I think if I were not a child in the early 2010's I would not have known Arin's rendition of Adventure of a Lifetime (I actually thought it was another super popular song off of that same album)
Arin was kinda right with Adventure of a Lifetime
What's that outro music? An intro-only loop of Chrono Trigger battle theme?
Personal Timestamps
28:23
29:36
14:40 for me
1:30 (or smth)
I KNOW IT I KNOW IT IT"S THE FUCKIGN
ALIVE AGAIN??? IS THAT THE NAME OF THE SONG???
Edit: *FUCK*
the cleveland show could be _excellent_ at times
people dismissed it for being the third macfarlane cartoon, but as a whole show, i like it more than most of family guy and american dad.
Did you not add the devils third clips?
It takes to old 45
My karaoke list got so much more interesting.
Bravure is still: "Welcome to the internet" by Bo burnham
They never expect it.
Arin's people are people sounds more like my little pony
I couldn't tell if that was a joke or not.
Why was the Colplay album blurred out the whole time? I looked it up and there's no nudity on it or anything.
Because it’s funny for the hilarity.
Because they didn't know what the song was until the end of the video. If you pay attention you'll see that it gets unblurred once they figure out what song it was
First video I hear and I realize why I am barely categorized as a millenial.
You know, from the other side of the age gap.
This is a grown man on stage screaming in a microphone at a bunch of weird parasocial fans. It all started with a really fucking good metal gear animation... Look at where we are now.
watched
🎊 "Promo sm"
Boggles my mind how they can listen to amazing artists like Tool, Queen, and Rush, but also listen to dreck like Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, and Rhianna. 🤭
