This music and this gig always represented human liberty at its zenith. The anti apartment in sound waves with the infinite mellow pink world as a backdrop.

He's said to have used various homemade devices too.

I just read that the band formed in 1962 (!) and started down the noise path in earnest sometime in the late sixties! Way, WAY ahead of their time.
