This is one of my favorite pieces from Amira, it shows her amazing vocal range. great reaction Brandon. I have been following Amira for years and never tire of her performances. Amira has amazing control, tone, range, and quality. She had all this at nine years old and nothing is forced. Her voice keeps ringing in the ears long after the song is over. I have heard some voice coaches not very accepting of her talent at this age afraid that her voice will give out early. Some other opera amateur aficionados denigrate her for not having the experience of a Callas or Sissle so they do not consider her in the same class. But I just have to say that to be able to sing arias with the best of them without effort is a great achievement. I hope she sticks with classical music and POPera, I do not want her to become the fat lady that sings at the end of an opera. The opera elite do not deserve her.
I definitely recommend you first next react to her audition for Holland's Got Talent 2013 ( for English Speakers) so you get the English subtitles. Amira had only ever before that sung at local little events and this was her first time on a large stage and tv having taught herself for 2 years to sing opera arias from UA-cam. I think her audition gives the true sense of Amira the person and the voice before she had any voice coaching at all. For a 9 year old her calm stage presence and singing are phenomenal. That performance puts all she did after winning the golden ticket to the semi finals and on to win in the finals ( both of which performances I highly recommend to follow with) and all her performances after that into perspective. She will be 19 this March and is still the same lovely personality with the beautiful voice and amazing stage presence.
You can't go wrong with an Amira video. They vary from beautiful to stunning. You could give her performance of O mio babbino caro with Andre Rieu a go. It has 76 million views clocked up.

Brandon: Have been following Amira for nine years (she's now 18). Suggest you might like Nella Fantasia (November 2016 version). Possibly her duet with Patrizio Buanne (O Sole Mio), or Gabriella's Song. You played her in English, these suggestions will give you two in Italian and one in Swedish. She is fluent in Dutch (her own language), also English and Afrikaans, but sings in around 9-10 languages. Enjoy the journey.

…. …. Ave Maria By Gomez at the Canisius Church at age 11. This is simply out of this world & one of my favourites.
…. … Flower Duet with Corlea Botha at age 13. The best rendition I’ve ever heard.
…. … Sound of Music medley at age 15. Sung in a higher register but not exactly operatic.
…. … When You Wish Upon a Star at age 17. Again not exactly operatic, sung in an extremely slow tempo & the breath control is exceptional.
If & when you get through these , there are many, many more performances, all of which are outstanding.

Beautiful! Amira shares a similar CV with Angelina Jordan. Both are musical prodigies and started singing by learning from YT videos and simply listening to the music. At the age of 9 Amira won Holland got Talent, and like Angelina she has a huge heart for children, she initiated a Charity Foundation in South Africa (her Mother is from there), building playgrounds for the schools there and helping children in need.

You might look at her friend her age. Her equal with a different talent. Alma Deutscher, composer, piano, violin with a permanent Stradivarius loaner, and now, after a year at a famous school, baton. A common review is her SIRENS WALTZ from her sold out Carnegie Hall concert. She wrote every note of the concert. The two girls also sing the STEPSISTERS DUET from her CINDERELLA opera that sold out in San Jose. Another popular review is the third movement of her violin concerto.
Amazing grace words by an English man and the music by a Scottish man. Bagpipes are traditionally played in amazing grace always if it's done properly, bagpipes are Scottish after all.
