Ive been desperate for someone to react to such a welldone soundtrack. Lies of P will always have a special place in my ♥ . My personal game of the year.
First, thank you so much for your comment and I'm really glad you liked it. Second... AGREED! When Editor Hubby told me that Lies of P hadn't even made the LIST for GotY I was so shocked! It most surely earned at the very least that recognition it is so beautifully done visually and the story is really an interesting mystery kind which I love. Editor Hubby and I have been recording me watching and we're considering putting up my reaction to the boss fights... what do you think?
This specific song you get as a reward for a quest where a mother has lost her baby, you promise to help but later finds a puppet and have to choose whether to give the puppet so that the mom believe she has her baby again or just tell the truth and let her sink even more into sadness, she's already at a point where she cant distinguish reality to fantasy and if you give her the puppet you will be rewarded with the record for this song, which sounds like a lullaby she's supposed to sing to her baby.
The first time I heard this song, got me the feels right away, I fetl like directly inside the game, so much feelings at the same time, it's beautiful.
I can't imagine playing the game without the song. I heard it all the time when I was with Editor Hubby and he was playing it or even just walked into the den. Very beautiful but haunting melody.
"Feel" is usually the first record you can collect in the game through a missable side quest. Listening to it on the gramophone in the main area (the hotel) grants Pinocchio some humanity, indicated by a message saying "Your springs are moving" if it's one of the first things you do. Jayeong did another song called "Quixote" for the soundtrack but "Feel" is one of my favorites. It's a good romantic song.
I loved this game so much. Its insane that if you dont do the side quest in the beginning you can completely miss out on getting the record that contains this song. To me this song perfectly captures the feeling of the game. Darkness - sadness
You have no idea how sad the game is lol. The music incorporated in it was done so well but this song in particular froze me in place until it ended every time it played. Thank you for reacting to it I hope you enjoyed it!
I didn't realize till now, and it may be obvious, but I thought this was a love song, I think it is actually a requiem. Edit: That's why it "feels" sad but it "sounds" beautiful and loving. It is.
The interesting thing about the record tracks is they're actually originally from the djmax rhythm game series, they were just adapted into the tone for lies of p.
🤯 that makes this more impressive to me, not less. This music is so beautiful and now I want to know what it sounded like before. Any idea where I can find it?
Agree! It's beautiful and I found it a little haunting given that I've started watching Editor Hubby play Lie's of P it has a whole life of it's own in my brain. And that makes me sound like a crazy person.
@@angeltalion Lies of P is set in the Victorian period but specifically the Belle Epoque aesthetic of France while being loosely based on the original story by Carlo Collodi (who they credit). Fun fact: The game is only the second one from Korean developer Round 8 Studios and it was nominated for Best Art Direction and Best RPG at The Game Awards last December (lost to Alan Wake II and Baldur's Gate 3, respectively).
Game is very sad…. But an amazing one: the disrespect it got not even getting a nod for GoTY is beyond me. But oh well I loved 10 in my book and my GoTY

I know this now, Editor Hubby took me along for the ride as he played through this part on one of his builds. It broke my heart.

😢 I can't imagine the game play without this song. Not after having seen it with the song, that's... seems as if it would be hallow.

I really did. I did but it really did break my heart some. It was just... very emotional.
It's even more sad when you realize that if makes you feel the mother was wanting to sing that to her baby
😭😭😭 WHY! Why would you tell me that! That is so so much worse.

It does, I can see how it could be either. Its just one of those eerie songs that makes you feel.

One of the few games I've beat over 6 times
Editor Hubby has played it A LOT and loves to show me things every time he does .. it's been heartbreaking but I am excited for the DLC and sequel!

The game is heartbreaking and the music matches it so well it sometimes makes me want to cry.
