Yeah you’re right. $95 to them back then would have been several years wages. To spend it on a meal, and not receive the finest in the world would result in someone losing their head

So I've worked with horses for almost 10 years and horses don't have the ability to vomit. If something like appears and looks like vomit, it could be a sign of a Choke (different to what you think, they can still breathe) it could be Reflux, maybe Colic ect. These things occur naturally and escalate quickly so catching signs of it can be difficult but the "vomit" is one of the signs. In this case, It probably began in the middle of the show and they didn't notice until it was towards the end. I'm sure they didn't just throw the horse out there because they like to watch them suffer. They have multiple horses for the reason that if something like this happens, they can substitute with another while the horse is seen by a vet. I'm sure it was seen to after they noticed it and I'm sure it was taken care of :) but again, these things occur naturally and escalate quickly so try to be chill peeps
@Ok keyword "If". Funny story, I got an old friend who worked at the Lyndhurst one and that's how I found out about the stables and what not. He's worked with horses for awhile and is a pretty chill guy. He said he hasn't seen something like that at his old workplace but he did say one time his horse took a digger outside the show and caught a nice scrape. I don't remember how protocol fully goes, but the main thing is they have substitutes for the primaries so that when something like this does happen, the horse will get the help it needs. People are too quick to assume the worst and are too quick to be like 'that's animal abuse'. If someone's kid face planted off stairs and the parent just weren't able to catch them you wouldn't call it child abuse right? This is the same kind of situation where things naturally happen whether it's an accident or just illness. Main thing I'm trying to say is people need to do their research before making assumptions that are so serious
Not true!… I low key/high key agree with him about the food & being gay has nothing to do with it. Stop throwing shade/bullying & go read a book or something 😉
This comment section pisses me off so much. You guys no nothing about horses, that horse is in prestine condition. It was just salivating. It is absolutely normal for a horse to secrete foamy saliva during physical exertion. In fact, this is often considered a positive physical trait because it indicates the horse is relaxed and being ridden correctly. In horses that are tense or have bad posture, the salivary duct is inhibited and their mouth dries out
Just went the other day with my whole family. It was spectacular especially for my little niece. Everyone around me was having a blast. Great energy! Food was great too!
I think it's worth it. You get to see a live Performance and you're eating at the same time, + you're comfortable. I took sixteen people and they all Enjoy themselves.
If you think $70 is a lot for all these people putting on such a cool show for you especially if you have kids, I’d say you need to start thinking more in terms of increasing your salary because man that’s some peasant like thinking. As someone that moved here in the states when I was 13 I must say, your money situation was nowhere near as bad as mine was I can assure you. I have spent more at the strip club in about less than 5 minutes. Calm down the peasantry fr that chicken was fire
As someone who knows a goods enough amount about horses, I know the bridles were abuse (improper tugging on the mouth, sharp on the tongue and gums) and that the reason your horse was ‘throwing up” or foaming at the mouth is because of either stress, the bridle, whatever they feed them, drugs, or maybe even all of those things combined.
Lol, I feel your pain. I went ONCE at the insistence of a friend, almost 20 years ago. It was tacky, disappointing, and over priced even then. Her husband and I were still hungry when we left. At a rest stop later in our trip, he and I both got fast food at a burger joint at the rest area. Their food was also overpriced, but she was being so bitchy we didn't go off the highway to look for anything else. . She just glared at both of us. We're ex- friends now. I often wonder how he put up with her. Oh well...
I disagree the food is amazing, to the point I just go to eat and leave haha I've only had two experiences where it wasn't seasoned enough and I've been regularly going for 4 years.
